Ephesians 5 (ESV) Verse Packet

How to memorize...
Step 1: Set aside a time. Early mornings are the best or add it to your time alone with the Lord.
Tip: Memorizing your verses at the same time every day helps with retention.

Step 2: Pray! The most important step is pray before memorizing. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you .

Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you. 2 Timothy 1:14 ASV
Step 3: Read the verse five or more times and picture it in your mind.

Memory Tips
On the side of each verse card are memory tips to encourage you along the way. Read them and use them when you get behind. Also, the Ezer Institute blog will have tips from others.

Step 4: Cover the verse and say it from memory. Repeat step 3 until you know it. Then add previous verses. For example: if you are currently on verse 3, and you achieved steps 3-4, then add it to verses 1-2 and go back
through steps 3-4 until you know all the verses.

Step 5: Review the verses throughout the day. Another important step, sometimes those verses studied earlier will
fly out of our minds as we go throughout our day fulfilling our dominion duties, so review, review, and review. Read the memory tips on the side of each verse card to help with review.

May God bless you as you hide His word in your hearts, may He keep firmly established, may He put a hedge of protection around you and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus
