Leadership and Organizational Behavior: Course Structure

Course Description: This course focus on the human side of an enterprise, where feelings, actions and relationships of people in work situations are examined and influenced by social, technical and management forces. it introduces several psychological factors that influence employee behavior and consider its implications to management practices.

Course Objectives: Organizations success depends in getting things done through people.To do this, managers should be able to explain why employees engage in some behaviors, predict how employees will respond to various actions the manager might take, and subsequently influence their actions. Specifically, the course aims to: 1. Enhance our understanding of people in organizations and the whole complex human factor in organizations by identifying causes and effects behavior. 2. Apply behavioral knowledge in operating organizations and build human cooperation toward organizational end. 3. Develop the ability to recognize and analyze organizational and behavioral problems. 4. Develop an understanding of the complexity of leadership. 5. Continue seeking and using knowledge for more productive and humanly rewarding results in operating situations and build workable relationships. 6. Be equipped with the proper conceptual tools and analytical thinking to continue the learning process throughout one's professional lives. 7. Contribute to the socio-economic goals of the country through the development of self-reliant and productive citizens ready to participate in the basic functions of society and promote traits and elements in our culture heritage that are

judged desirable.
