OUR students OUR priorities WERE listening


Our students are meeting the learner outcomes in Provincial Programs of Study. More students are meeting Provincial Standards of Excellence on examinations. Lowest dropout rate within Alberta. Students are completing high school. High school Physics and Biology marks well above Provincial Standard of Excellence. First Nation students are completing high school. More high school students are writing Diploma examinations. Our schools are safe and caring. Students are provided a quality education. Lobby for and build badly needed infrastructure. Continue focus on literacy, numeracy, and competencies for 21st century learners. Increase student achievement in Grade 9 Program of Study and Knowledge & Employability courses. Provide reading/numeracy interventions for students. Differentiate Instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Promote inclusive education. Promote career pathways for students completing high school. Continue to collaborate with Keyano College to promote post-secondary studies. Expand on-line and distance learning options. Expand APPLE Schools and Learning Through the Arts (LTTA) programming.

Prepare students for 21st century competencies. Partner with local business and industry and Alliance of Sector Councils to promote student career pathways. Promote how our schools are meeting the needs of students. Re-focus on safe and caring schools and bullying prevention. Expand use of technology and student use of own devices. Align Provincial and District initiatives to support learning of all students. Promote mental health and wellness of our students. Expand programs of choice, including Edge Sports Academy and Frank Spragins High School.

Prepare all students for 21st century. Increase student achievement. Connect students with future career pathways based on work force trends. Increase student enrolment. Improve efficiency and effectiveness of programs and services. Balance district revenues with expenditures. Focus on school improvement. Resolve our infrastructure challenges. Lobby for north side high school to support growth and industry needs. Leverage public and private sources of funding to promote public education. Build greater collective impact through collaborative partnerships based on a common agenda.
