The campaign for the next Lok Sabha election moved into a higher gear today with the much-discussed Gujarat election seeing the return of Mr Narendra Modi on almost the same terms as in 2007. The Bharatiya Janata Party claimed 115 seats, just two short of the number it had captured the last time, and the win confirmed 62-year-old Mr Modis grip for a third time on a state that had been agonisingly polarised following communal violence under his watch in 2002.
