The study conducted by Dr.Narendra jadhav / PR, A 2C.E. has focused on the emerging issues in international banking scenario. In research conducted by him, he had talked about major features of international banking scenario such as, The Structure of industry, The share of bank asset in total financial sector asset , Industry concentration measured by the percentage of countrys banking sector assets controlled by the largest bank, Growing international sector of banking operation and financial sector across the globe has witnessed Inc conglomeration to survive in a milieu of financial liberalization and technological improvement. Further more the report submitted by a study group established by the committee on global financial system and the study group was chaired by Hans-Helmut Kotz of the Deutsche Bunbesbank, July 2010 that international expansion is mainly driven by the pursuit of new business opportunities, by higher profit margins and by incentives to follow existing customers abroad. Economies of scale and scope seem to play a smaller role. The committee also discussed on the Effects of international banking It discussed how the crossborder expansion of banking activities has affected the riskiness of individual banks and the financial system as a whole. It then turns to a discussion of the impact of international banking on economic integration and growth. Impact on the risk of individual banks International expansion can affect the risk profile and resilience of individual banks through risk diversification, competition and efficiency gains. Impact on systemic risk From the perspective of the global system, the internationalization of banking influences cross-border risk-sharing. Enhanced risk-sharing is generally beneficial for financial stability. The ability to assess and manage cross-border risks also determines whether foreign banks alleviate or add to local strains during a crisis. Impact on the macroeconomic First, by introducing new financial products and services and improving the use of new technologies in host countries, cross-border entry has led to improvements in the quality of financial intermediation. This effect has been particularly pronounced in emerging market countries. Second, foreign banks are likely to exert pressure to improve the overall regulatory and supervisory frameworks.

Third, international banking has fostered allocative efficiency. Most directly, this is accomplished by removing distortions created by an overly concentrated system Fourth, the entry of foreign banks sets in motion competitive forces in the host country. Fifth, reliance on lending from foreign banks also carries risks.

Panagiotis Pantelidis, Vouroutzidou Rania, Drogalas George, Kiriaki Anastasiadou, in their research paper has also cite the benefits of offshore banking that the main profit of the internationalization of banking work is the increase of the surplus of consumers. The other benefit is the internationalization of banking work is that the international banking extension increases the effectiveness of international capital by improving and their flow.
