LIFE IS GOING, AND ABOUT PROBLEM AREAS EFFECTING HIM THAT HE
FEELS MAY NEED TO BE CHANGED OR TO BE IMPROVED.
2. TELL HIM YOU ARE FIRST GOING TO ASK HIM 5 IMPORTANT
QUESTIONS AND YOU WANT HIM TO GIVE YOU HIS REAL ANSWERS. ASK
HIM THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS, EACH TIME LETTING THE PERSON TALK
AND MAKING SURE THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE HIM:
3. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A PERSON TRYING TO BLOCK OUT HIS
PROBLEMS AT WORK OR AT HOME WITH ALCOHOL OR DRUGS?
4. HAVE YOU EVER SUFFERED A SEVERE LOSS AND EXPERIENCED

ABLE TO CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE?

IF HE HAS ANSWERED YES TO ANY OF THE ABOVE QUESTIONS. FIND OUT
WHICH PROBLEM AREA OF HIS LIFE HE HAS THE MOST ATTENTION ON, AS
THAT WILL LIKELY BE HIS RUIN. FIND HIS RUIN.)
(TELL HIM THE FOLLOWING:)
"OK, BASED ON YOUR ANSWERS, THE FACT IS THAT (HIS STATED RUIN
OR MAIN PROBLEM) IS EFFECTING YOUR LIFE. CAN YOU SEE THIS?
"OK, GOOD. YOU NEED TO CHANGE IT!"
"MY JOB IS TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE AND
IMPROVE THIS. ALSO, THAT'S THE MAIN PURPOSE OF DIANETICS: TO
HELP PEOPLE CHANGE OR IMPROVE UNWANTED CONDITIONS IN LIFE. "

TO THAT, TOO." (GET HIS AGREEMENT ON THIS)
"WHAT AREA OF YOUR LIFE REALLY AND TRULY NEEDS ATTENTION?
AND IT MAY BE SOMETHING YOU HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF, OR WANTED TO
THINK OF, IN A LONG TIME. WHAT IS IT?"

"WELL, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY. IN DIANETICS WE HAVE

Booksellers go to high-traffic areas like
shopping streets, train stations, etc.
They go for volume of contacts, not
long, drawn-out sales talks. People who
are interested will buy books, the others
won't-there's no more significance to it.
1
The bookseller acknowledges a person's
an.swer and tells him, "I want to sell you
thIS book," while putting the book in his
hands and then says, "Take a look at the
~ a b l e of contents and see which chapter
mterests you."
3
Unpublished work::O 1997 CSt All Rights Reserved.
Booksellers preferably work in teams of
two or more. They can work alone.
They walk toward a person or the person
is walking toward them. They usually
use an opening question that stops a
person and matches the book they are
selling.
Example: "Do you know what blocks a
person from reaching his full potential?"
(then sell the person the DMSMH book)
2
The result is that the person starts
looking through the chapter.
4

While he's looking, the bookseller says,
"I am from Oianetics, a modem study of
the mind, and I am selling this book
which shows you exactly what holds a
person back from reaching their true and
full potentials in life. It costs "
5
A bookseller does one last action; he
gives the person an Evolution of a
Science ticket, notes down the person's
address, tells him to come in to see the
film and ends off: "Thank you. I hope
we hear from you."
7
- 2 -
The bookseller, without hesitation,
takes the book out ofthe person's hands,
asking "Do you have with you?
I hope it's not too large a bill so that I
can give you change. Take a look,"
while the bookseller rattles the change in
his pocket. Usually the person finds the
money and buys the book.

DIANETICS AND SCIENTOLOGY
THE PHOENIX LECTURES
This introductory lecture will interest and involve your new public
in Dianetics technology. It will help increase book sales of Dianetics:
The Modern Science of Mental Health and provide come-on for new public
to the first paid service on the Dianetics Route.
If you have other successful intros, do not drop these out, but
simply add this intro lecture to your intro line.
When properly delivered, this intro will bring new public to an
awareness that there is part of their mind which affects them and that
there is something they can do about it.
SETTING UP
This lecture can be delivered in your erg or in a public library.
Checklists are included with this issue as attachments 1 and 2 which
tell you how to set up your introductory lecture in the erg and in the
public library.
DELIVERY
A hard and fast rule that should be made from the beginning is
that no new public are routed onto the intro after it has started.
The lecture gradiently increases the public's knowledge and just as you
would not start someone half way onto a checksheet, you should not start
public part of the way into the intra lecture.
In order to deliver this intro lecture successfully, the lecturer
needs to have the following points totally in. This means he must drill
delivering this lecture, while applying these points.
1. This intro lecture is not delivered rotely. The lecturer doesn't
need to memorize this lecture or deliver it verbatim. It should,
however, be delivered as closely as possible to the original for
best results. The lecturer can and should refer to a copy of the
lecture while delivering it, but must not read it aloud. The
lecturer must practice it so it is natural.
It is VITAL that the lecturer makes this lecture his own and KEEPS
IT ON-SOURCE.
2. The intro lecturer's TR 1 should be good enough to impinge. A
lecture given without good TR 1 will not get very good results
as without good impingement the public will not see and become
as aware of how the reactive mind affects them.
3. Give the intro lecture with the purpose of bringing the new public
individual to a high interest in Dianetics technology and reaching
for their first Dianetics service. (Reference: HCO PL 7 Feb 79
COME-ON DISSEMINATION)

- 2 -
4. Be REAL. Use enough examples (make up your own as needed) to get
agreement from the new public on the subject that is being talked
about. Draw pictures in the air with your hands, etc., to ,get the
point across.
5. Observe the group as you go along and if they appear to be bored or
start going downtone, use more examples AND get them involved by
having them give you real life examples of what you are going over.
6. ALWAYS get audience participation and involvement in the intro
lecture. THIS IS VITAL.
7. DO NOT use words that could easily be misunderstood. Ensure all
misunderstood words are handled immediately.
8. Do not make claims or promises that Dianetics will do this or that,
or say "You will attain.... " when you should say" It is possible
for you to attain.... " or "People have attained.... " (Reference:
HCO PL 19 Sept 1979 PROMOTION)
9. Always handle the public's questions per HCOB 28 April 1971 Issue
II, BOOKS ARE DISSEMINATION and HCO PL 7 Feb 1971 COME-ON
DISSEMINATION.
Example:
If the public person should ask you to explain how and why the
Dianetics procedures work, simply answer his question by saying
something like:
"All of your questions are answered in the book DIANETICS: THE
MODERN SCIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH. Unfortunately it would take me days to
answer every question that you may have about Dianetics and to be quite
honest I don't have that much time. I'm happy to say though that we do
have Dianetics services that teach these Dianetics procedures and you
can set with the registrar when werre finished here, and she (or he)
will answer your questions."
10. Mainly, be interested and uptone. Show you care and express your
aliveness and VITALITY to the public you're delivering the lecture
to. (See pages 291-292 of THE PHOENIX LECTURES book.)
REGISTRARS
Any person acting as a registrar, following this intro lecture,
should be briefed on the lecture prior to regging someone who has
attended it.
This will greatly ease the registrar's job.
Raw public may not be regged in the public library, if the lecture
is delivered there. Attendees at the public library will be invited to
visit the organization to find out more and given invitational cards
which entitle them to a free introductory Dianetics session at the org.
The public coming off of this intro lecture are Dianetics public
and are signed up for a Dianetics service as their next action (Ref:
LRH
m
ED 344R INT RIDGE ON THE BRIDGE). The Reg, in a very certain, high
ARC and professional manner, directs the person to his next service on
the route (Ref: HCO PL 16 April 65, HANDLING THE PUBLIC INDIVIDUAL) .
Should the reg sell the person a book or give him promo for
other services, it should be realized that Dianetics and Scientology
are separate subjects and that Dianetics public should be given
Dianetics literature or sold Dianetics books (Ref: HCO PL 25 January
1957, CONCERNING THE SEPARATENESS OF DIANETICS AND SCIENTOLOGY).

printed off prior to the event and is passed out to all the attendees
and filled out. It is collected up and forwarded to the D/FBO for MORE
who will tabulate the results and send a copy to the Survey Admin FB and

A DIANETICS INTRODUCTORY LECTURE
This is the script which should be used to deliver this lecture.
NOTE: THERE IS AN ALTERNATE ENDING TO BE USED WHEN DELIVERING THIS
LECTURE IN A PUBLIC LIBRARY. THIS IS INCLUDED AT THE END OF THIS
LECTURE.
Hello!
My name is (your name) and I shall be giving you a talk on
what Dianetics technology is.
Before I start I'd like to know your name and what you do.
this muzzled. Just ask each person and acknowledge him.)
All right.
(Keep
First, if you don't understand what I'm saying, stop me and I'll
clear it up.
If you have a comment about me or the room, please see me
afterwards and we can discuss it then.
Also, if I ask you a question or have you look at some experience
about life, really take a look at it. See if it ever happened to you.
Okay? Good.
Have you ever had a mystery or a question about something, like
"Why did she say that?" or "How come he's acting that way?" or "How come
I feel this way?" and when you finally got the answer to that question
you felt a lot more confidence and certainty in yourself? (Pause)
Okay.
Dianetics techniques help a person find answers to questions and
mysteries about himself and others. These techniques help him to know
that he's in control of his own life and what happens to him.
Dianetics is not psychiatry. It is not psycho-analysis. It is not
a support group. It is not hypnotism. Dianetics is defined as DIA,
a Greek word which means through and NODS, Greek meaning soul.
L. Ron Hubbard, the Founder of Dianetics, further defines Dianetics as
"WHAT THE SOUL IS DOING TO THE BODY." (Pause)
Let me ask you something.
Were you afraid of the dark when you were young, or knew someone
who was? (Pause) Okay.
Have you ever heard of people who had some pain or trouble with
their body but there was nothing wrong with them physically as it was
all in their mind? (Pause) All right.
These are a few of the things Dianetics technology deals with.
Have you ever seen a person trying to block out his problems with
alcohol or drugs? (Pause) Okay.
Have you ever suffered a severe loss and experienced the pain that
can bring? (Pause) Okay.
Have you ever seen personal relations between people go bad; with
them breaking up because they just didn't know what to do to get back
together again? (Pause) All right.

- 2 -
These are some of the things that the Dianetics techniques can help
a person do something about.
Now a few people may say, "I don't need that. That doesn't have
anything to do with me. My mind works fine."
Well, they're very right from the way they see it. Because the
mind is perfect. The awake, conscious part of the mind that you're
aware of is quite perfect and incapable of making mistakes.
If you have the correct information, your ability to compute and
figure out things is never wrong ... IF YOU HAVE THE CORRECT
INFORMATION.
But, have you ever seen people make mistakes and do things that
didn't make sense? (Pause) Okay.
Well, here's what happens: If incorrect information is given to the
mind that the person doesn't know about, or has totally forgotten, then
the person makes mistakes and acts in strange and peculiar ways.
Otherwise, the mind works perfectly.
Let's take a look at something else.
Have you ever heard someone say, "What I don't know won't hurt me"
or something like that? (Pause) Okay.
I want to tell you something about that.
The only thing that can affect a person is anything he's not aware
of; because if he's aware of it, he can do something about it, whether
he tries to control it or run from it. By becoming more aware, you can
then be in control of your own life and what happens to you.
I'll give you an example.
Imagine a guy who is afraid of closed-in spaces and he can't ride
in elevators, but he works on the 18th floor of a building!
So every day he has to walk up and down the stairs.
Then, through correct application of the Dianetics techniques, he
discovers the time when he was 3 years old when some boys locked him in
an abandoned refrigerator. (Pause) He almost suffocated to death.
(Pause)
Through the standard application of Dianetics techniques, he was
able to rid himself of the closed-in feeling he used to get. Now he can
ride in elevators.
Or take someone else who has real bad headaches until he has
Dianetics techniques correctly applied to him. He had totally forgotten
about falling out of a tree house when he was quite young and hitting
his head. (Pause) He doesn't have headaches anymore; he solved the
mystery of where they came from.
Now Dianetics techniques are not designed to cure anything, or get
rid of headaches. These are only some of the added benefits which quite
often occur as a result of becoming more aware through Dianetics
techniques.
Here's a scientific fact!
There is an entire part of the mind which you have no control over.
It's full of things which you're not aware of. AND IT AFFECTS YOU!
(Pause)
This part of the mind influences your thinking and your
actions. It causes unwanted emotions, drugs and alcohol addiction,
child abuse, suicide and violence. It gives you depression, confusion
and indecision. And you can't do a thing about it when you're not
aware of it.
o
IMEC PROGRAM ORDER
ATTACHMENT 7-3
- 3 -
The effects this part of the mind can have on a person are quite
devastating. An example is violence in the home. Is it possible that
someone can have so much pain and torment that he would take it out on
his wife or children? These things go on every day right on our streets
and in our homes. As I said before, the effects of this negative mind
are quite devastating.
But when you become aware of the painful and mysterious things that
are stored in it, you can become more confident. And you can gain more
self respect and ability to do the things you really want to do.
(NOTE: At this point if you are doing the library lecture, use the
alternate ending attached to this issue.)
Learning how to do this (whether it's to help someone else or gain
this ability for yourself), is quite easy when one does one of the
Dianetics courses offered right here.
Have you ever wanted to say something to someone but held yourself
back from saying it because you weren't really sure of yourself?
(Pause) Okay.
Have you ever been made anxious because of a failed relationship?
(Pause) All right.
That was the negative part of your mind affecting you.
Let's do a demonstration.
Don't think of an elephant!
Who thought of an elephant!
(Pause) Okay.
(Pause) Okay.
Notice how it just seems to come into your mind whether you want it
there or not? All right.
This uncontrolled part of the mind reacts automatically without you
thinking at all.
Let's do another demonstration.
Close your eyes. Good. Now -- think of a cat. Got a picture of a
cat? Good. Now make your cat purple. (Pause) Good. Put baby booties
on him. (Pause) Good. Now put him in front of a pumpkin. (Pause) All
right. Now have him back up to the pumpkin and sit down. (Pause) Good.
Open your eyes.
That was an example of a picture you're aware of and in control of.

Okay. Well that picture was connected to something in the negative
part of your mind. You can control the good pictures, but the pictures
in the negative part of your mind are not fully controlled by you.
(Pause) You need to do something about that.
If you can imagine a tumor inside your head, getting larger and
more painful each day -- that's something like this part of the mind.
(Pause) It grows with every painful experience and upset in life to the
point where the person can't tolerate it.
This is where painful emotions come from. This is where loneliness
and insecurity come from. This is why people lose confidence and
personal certainty in themselves and what they want to do.
What is this negative part of the mind?
Can you clear away these unwanted and painful emotions that haunt a
person, and restore your memory of the experiences without the pain that
is connected to them?
How can you lessen the effect of this negative part of the mind?
L. Ron Hubbard fully explains this in his book, DIANETICS: THE
MODERN SCIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH. He shows you how you can start
gaining control of these unwanted emotions and pains that are in this
negative part of the mind. And let me tell you something; these
unwanted emotions and pains that are in the negative part of the mind
can be gotten control of totally. What can be restored are the memories
of these experiences without the pain, grief, fear or agony that is
connected to them.
The procedures covered in this book, DIANETICS: THE MODERN
SCIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH, are taught right here on the Hubbard
Dianetics Seminar.
This is a hands-on workshop where you can give and receive
Dianetics and resolve some of these things that have been holding you
back in life, which prevent you from doing everything you want to do and
accomplish.
The seminar includes everything you need to get started: an
illustrated workbook and a library-quality hardcover edition of
Dianetics (hold up copies) .
You'll learn under the wing of an experienced supervisor who is
himself trained on Dianetics procedure. Thousands of people have done
the seminar and found themselves far happier in life and more confident
as a result.
This seminar also includes the use of a specially made video, which
lays out Dianetics procedures in 10 easy-to-follow steps. This video
shows you how simple Dianetics techniques are to apply so that you can
get started immediately.
If what I've talked about has made you feel a bit uncomfortable,
realize that this negative part of your mind was affecting you during
this talk.
Did you feel the effects of it at times? (Pause) Okay.
Now you can do something about it.
Thank you.
THE FOLLOWING IS AN ALTERNATIVE ENDING
FOR PUBLIC LIBRARIES
Learning how to do this (whether it's to help someone else or gain
this ability for yourself) is quite easy to learn. Since Dianetics was
published, over 40 years ago, people have been using the Dianetics book
in their own homes, learning as they go and applying what they learn.

(Pause) Okay.
Who thought of an elephant? (Pause) Okay.
Notice how it just seems to come into your mind whether you want it
there or not? All right.
This uncontrolled part of the mind reacts automatically without you
thinking at all.
Let's do another demonstration.
Close your eyes. Good. Now -- think of a cat. Got a picture of a
cat? Good. Now make your cat purple. (Pause) Good. Put baby booties
on him. (Pause) Good. Now put him in front of a pumpkin. (Pause) All
right. Now have him back up to the pumpkin and sit down. (Pause) Good.
Open your eyes.
That was an example of a picture you're aware of and in control of.

HOW TO DO DIANETICS WORKSHOPS
Dianetics Introductory Co-Auditing Workshops are being successfully delivered
throughout the U.S., resulting in thousands of Dianetics public starting to co-audit and
thus reaching for more services in the missions that are delivering these workshops.
The public for these workshops are Dianetics book buyers (including Dianetics
video buyers). In the pilot workshops, promoted and delivered as described in this issue,
average attendance was achieved of 50 people, and often 90 to 100 people attended.
It was found in surveys of book buyers that what they most want is a workshop
where they get actual hands-on experience with Dianetics, and can get any questions or
confusions cleared up.
The major cognition that people have at the workshops, by survey, is that
"Dianetics is extremely simple" as LRH points out in DMSMH, and that Dianetics does
give them the results they were originally looking for.
Dianetics workshops also give these public "hands-on" experience with Dianetics
as they see an actual "live" Dianetics auditing session and then give and receive a
Dianetics session as the workshop attendees are twinned up and they actually co-audit
as part of the workshop.
The following are the basic actions that need to be done to promote, set up,
deliver and follow-up on the Dianetics introductory workshop:
CHECKLIST
SCHEDULE THE WORKSHOP
1. Set a time when/where the workshop will be held
(minimally once a week).
Scheduling must be based on policy-HCO PL 13 Aug. 65,
FOUNDATION, BASIC COURSE ORGANIZATION, OEC Volume 6,
page 473:
"The assembly line must exist before one can get traffic
to put on it. So make the line. Then get the traffic. And
always feed new traffic in at the bottom. Don't recruit by fits
and starts-' An open evening every two months, etc.,' is bad
promotion. It peaks traffic. Have one at least every week
if at all."-LRH
2. Assign an upstat room in the mission that can hold 20 to 50 people
or make arrangements for an adequate space to accommodate this number
of public. Arrange for a "classroom style" seating setup, and a large video
monitor reserved for the workshop. Telex the date and location of your
workshop to PDO 1-800 Unit info the Mission Consul taney Chief in your
SMI Continental Office.
Unpublished work: ll) 1997 CSI. All Rights Reserved.
IMEC PGMO 375

3. Drill all staff on date/location/time, so that when they answer
the phones or handle public they know what to say.
PROMOTE THE WORKSHOP
4. INVITATION LETTER-Send an upstat cordial invitation letter
out to all your book buyers and Dianetics video buyers from the pw-son
delivering the workshop so it arrives at least 3 weeks before the
workshop (see sample letter attached to this program). Make sure each
letter is printed on nice HDP letterhead paper and envelope and hand-
signed. The letter is sent first class.
5. "FREE PASS" POSTCARD
a) Send out a simple "Free Pass" post card to all your book buyers
ten days before the workshop by first class mail so that it gets to the
person one week before the workshop (see sample postcard attached to
this program).
b) Also print thousands of the "Free Pass" for handout to the general
public on the street.
6. BOOKBUYER CALL-IN-Assign call-in personnel and get call-in of
Bookbuyers starting at least two weeks before the workshop inviting them
to the workshop and reserving a seat for them. Put up a simple "Confirms"
sheet that has two column next to each name, one column for confirming
and one for re-confirming (see call-in patter attached to this program).
7. BRIEF AND TARGET FSMs-Put posters up in the mission and
announce the workshop at the end of each course period for at least two
weeks before the workshop. Target each student and FSM to bring 1-2
persons to the workshop and have them give you their selectees' names.
Contact all the local groups and get them scheduled to attend the workshop.
8. Put up posters throughout the city announcing the workshop with a
tear-off part for the person to take with them, which has the place,
address and time of the workshop.
9. ADDITIONAL PROMOTION-If possible, place inexpensive ads in the
local newspapers, etc., to promote the free workshop and get free
PSA ads placed on the radio stations.
PREPARE FOR THE WORKSHOP:
10. Ensure that you have the following items ready for the workshop:
a. Upstat Dianetics workshop signs for reception to direct the public
to the workshop.
b. Video VCR equipment setup, tested and working.
c. Lapel microphones, one for the auditor and one for the pc on stage,
tested and working.

g. Upstat 4 foot by 8 foot banner that says "DIANETICS WORKSHOP".
h. Dianetics procedure cards and/or small "How To" procedure work
booklets for each attendee.
I. A copy of the HDF brochure ("Dianetics: Your Road Map to the
State of Clear") on each person's table in the workshop room.
J. Pre-workshop questionnaires (attached to this program) and paper for
success stories.
k. After-workshop questionnaires (attached to this program) and paper
for success stories.
I. "Dianetics, How-To" video (Seminar version).
m. Large paper pad and black marker pen on easel for speaker.
n. LRH books for display, (especially Dianetics books)
Self Analysis; Clear Body, Clear Mind; Hubbard Dianetics
Auditor packs; Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science,' The
Dynamics of Life; What Is Scientology? and extension courses
for all these.
o. An Appointment Book, to register everyone scheduled for their
free Book One session.
11. Draw up an Org Board for the event so all hats are covered
including sufficient Reges, Book One Auditors, routes the public
correctly. There should be minimally one staff to every 6 attendees
and a Host/Hostess lie who ensures he/she knows where everyone is
at all times, and routes the public correctly.
12. Get all mission staff for the event briefed and drilled.
13. Meet at the event location EARLY IN the morning of the
workshop. (You can usually get into the room at 7:30-8:00 AM.)
14. Get the room set up, including signs to direct the public to it.
15. Set up tables that provide promo and literature on the mission and
the HDF.

DIANETICS WORKSHOP DELIVERY STEPS
20. CORDIALLY WELCOME THE PUBLICI Have 5-6 upstat staff, with
high ARC, cordially greet and register each public person when they arrive.
Each person receives an upstat name tag, signs into the Registration log and
fills out a pre-workshop survey, and is then invited to have some coffee
and snack before the workshop and then is seated, filling up front seats
first. Use good 8-C.
Each person receives an upstat name tag, signs into the Registration
log, and is invited to have some coffee and snack before the workshop and
then is seated, (filling up front seats).
21. Short locational done to get the public "there" (Ref: HCO Exec
Letter of 12 October 1964, CONGRESS ORGANIZATION AND
INCREASING INTEREST AND ATTENDANCE, OEC Vol 6, page 324:
"Something should be done to get the people there, like Hello-Okay
-locational processing on the whole group.... " - LRH)
22. Give a short introductory talk. Introduce yourself and describe what
the Workshop will cover and what they will be doing. Include in the
lecture a short talk on the Tone Scale, as the public will see different
tones displayed during the live session and in their own co-audit.
23. Show the video "How to Use Dianetics".
24. QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD (use DMSMH and the
Dianetics video as the key references).
25. It is stressed with attendees that "Dianetics is extremely simple" and
ANY auditing is better than no auditing and not to worry about messing
anyone up. (Ref: The Mind's Protection, Chapter in DMSMH).
26. Prior to breaking for lunch, get all attendees grouped by
area and get them to form groups. Get the name and address of
each group leader and who is in the group.
27. LUNCH 12 NOON-Break for lunch with mission staff accompanying
attendees to lunch, to answer questions and be terminals for them.
It is best for the mission to "host" the lunch, meaning you bring in a
box lunch and have tables set up. This ensures the attendees stay in
one location during lunch. Assign at least one staff member to each
table to mingle with the attendees, answer their questions and reg them.
"Box lunches" are inexpensive and very acceptable.

This lunch room, which is usually adjacent to the main room, then acts
as your registration room and as a room for surveys, success stories,
etc., to be filled out after the co-audits end off.
28. LIVE DIANETICS DEMONSTRATION SESSION given by your
best Book One Auditor following the "How To" command card exactly and
ONLY, which shows how simple Dianetics auditing is to do, and that it
CAN be done.
Ensure you hand pick the pc and not use someone who volunteers
randomly. Ensure the pc is well genned in on the procedure prior to the
deITIO taking place.
29. Any further questions are answered after demo session. Keep the
Book One Auditor on stage during this question and answer period.
After this question and answer period, ask "How many of you would
like to receive a session from a professional Book One Auditor?"
It should be the majority of the audience. Set a time for them to
schedule appointments. This has proven very successful in selling
Book One intensives.
Tell the public they will now be auditing each other but AFTER they
finish their auditing there is more of the workshop to be done.
30. AUDITING-attendees pair up and drill on doing Dianetics per the
procedure card and then they audit each other.
31. If any of the workshop attendees have back-off on co-auditing or
feel this is out gradient for them, get them using Self Analysis as a
lower gradient. Ref: Self Analysis, Chapter 10, "Processing
Section" .
REGISTRATION
32. As the sessions are ending off have the public write After-Workshop
questionnaire and success story and route them to a Reg.
33. An all-hands Registration is worked out with staff who can reg
assigned on an all-hands basis so that everyone is seen after
completing a session in the workshop. This is vital and your sign-ups
will be in direct ratio to the number of reges assigned and drilled.
Use the attached Public Reg drill.
34. The Reges sign up every attendee for the Hubbard Dianetics Seminar,
promoted to them as a supervised co-audit in the mission where they can
continue their co-auditing.
35. IF the attendee is from far out of town (Le., 100-200 nliles or more),
get them on to an Extension Course and encourage them to continue co-
auditing. Schedule them to come for a HDS in the future.
IMEC PGMO 375
ATTACHMENT 8
- 6 -
36. Promote to every attendee that professional Dianetics auditing is
available in the mission as well and sign up those who reach for this.
Note that your Book One Auditors should be circulating amongst the
attendees per HCO INFORMATION LETTER of 18 Feb. 1961,
MAGAZINES, OEC Vol 6, page 181: "If other staff members want
a fast way to raise units, drift into the Co-audit and the PE at the
breaks and simply tell people how fine the next step is, ,vhile
mingling with them."-LRH
DIANETICS WORKSHOP FOLLOW-UP STEPS
37. Reges contact each attendee at his/her home and ensure they are
continuing to co-audit at home (if distant from mission) or coming into
the mission for HDA if nearby and answer any questions or help them
so they can get rolling on their co-auditing if they are bugged on this in
any way.
38. Set up a Dianetics workshop to be delivered to each of the new
Dianetics Groups that were made and get these workshops delivered by
your mission's Div 6 staff, even if 3-4 people attend these in a group's
home.
39. Keep basic statistics on how many groups are made, how many
Dianetics workshops are delivered, how many Dianetics introductory
co-auditors are made and how many books and HDSes are sold.
