Allah said in the Quran Recitation of Quran Surah 3 Ayat 185

Sadaqallaahu Mawlaana Adheem

Translation: "Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he (she) indeed is SUCCESSFUL. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception. - Quran 3:185
When we buy a new appliance or a piece of furniture it usually comes with instructions on how to assemble it and benefit from it. However, most often we do not bother to read the instructions or to read them carefully, and right away begin to put it together as best as we can. And sometimes that works. But if it doesn't, we have to go back and read the directions to find out where we went wrong. When it comes to putting together a marriage we tend to use the same approach of neglecting to follow the instructions. If couples read and heed the instructions then and only then a marriage can be successful, and husbands and wives can live together in peace and happiness. Out there are many books titled "The Ideal Muslim Husband" and "The Ideal Muslim Wife". However, when two people decide to get married the thought of benefiting from such books may or may not come to their mind. Sadly this is not one of the items even listed in the wedding planning to do lists. If one wants to be a good husband or a good wife what is the first pre-requisite? It is first and foremost to be a Good Muslim. And what would indicate to you what a good muslim is. There are thousand and one things that would determine that, but here are just some of the questions every girl should ask her would be husband AND vice versa.

1. Do you have the correct understanding of Tawheed - Oneness of God i.e. you worship GOD ONLY? 2. Do you believe and understand the five pillars of islam and the six articles of faith? 3. Do you dress islamically and modestly (loose fitting clothing), and cover in public what Allah commanded you to cover? 4. Do you pray all the five prayers on time; and when you pray do you understand the meaning of what you are uttering inside the Salath? 5. Do you fast the entire month of Ramadan? 6. Do you read Quran every day in a language that you understand? 7. Do you know and remember to say prescribed Duas for certain times and occasions;like before eating, after eating, at time of sleep, at time of waking up, at time of going out, at time of entering your house? 8. Do you attend islamic conferences and read Quran, Hadeeth, Seerah; Biography of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), and other Great Muslims? 9. Do you always get up for Salath ul Fajr and if not when was the last time you prayed Fajr at its proper time? 10. What makes you think that you would be a good husband or a good wife without fully and entirely trying to become a GOOD MUSLIM? This is more of a reminder to myself than for others; however, these are the questions we all should ask ourselves. Hey, we missed out one very important question? What are your plans for the Honey Moon? Do you think it will be better for us to go to the Harmain in Makkah and Madina instead of Honey Moon to any other place? Wouldnt that be Money and Time Spent Wisely and to Utmost Benefit.? Let us now make Dua for the bride and groom --O Allah make Mairaj and Hina best couple in the whole world. O Allah make both of them better muslims. O Allah grant them abundance in health, wealth and happiness. O Allah make them successful in this life as well as in the hereafter. O Allah join their hearts, O Allah join their hearts, O Allah join their hearts to the Quran. O Allah guide them, O Allah guide us all.

O Allah when the bridge is set up above the hell fires and we all have to cross that bridge and reach the heaven, grant us light, and increase our light, and help us; help us O Allah, help all of us to pass over that bridge without being snatched by the flames of fire below and thrown into the Hell Fire; help us land safely in to Paradise and grant us Eternal Peace, Happiness and Tranquillity.

That is SUCCESS! Grant us Success! GRANT US SUCCESS! O Allah GRANT US SUCCESS! Aameen Ya Rabbal Aalameen
