5. His Unique Plan or Program Vs 6 Hag 2: 6 Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations. Hag 2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; SHAKING a) The Past - Yet for once Or Yet Again for Once - When was the last time? Ex 19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. Ps 68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. We dont really see the heavens shaken do we? b) The Future - The final Shaking Heb 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Heb12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

Heaven, earth, land, sea, nations i.e The whole universe would be shaken, not merely the earthly part of it but the whole of it, including the heavens c) What does this shaking mean? Means judgments of wrath on the foes of God's people. ISH 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. Haggai assures them this and all other world powers are to fall before Messiah, who is to be associated with this temple; therefore they need not fear. Is this the end of the world or the destruction of the universe? No. Because the desire of all nations shall come. Vs7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: Begins before "the desire of all nations" It is the eve of the glorious period, which all creation groans but waits. The Is this Prophecy related to the Church? Some say that the church is the spiritual Israel and the promises God made to Israel will be fulfilled to the church and not to Israel. Haggai 2 holds an important key that in the future God will fulfill his promise to Israel during the millennium. Hag 2:2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel,

The shaking is in preparation to the coming of the Desire of all nations. The promise of presence and the promise of the coming of desire. John 14 the presence of the Spirit and the coming of the Lord Jesus; Malachi 3: 1: "The Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in." Isaiah 11:10 Millennial reign "In that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek." Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. 9.b. The ships of Tarshish will bring their silver and their gold. Just as when Christ was born into the world, wise men from the east came and laid their costly gifts at His feet, so will the Gentiles in a future day come and offer of their treasures to the Lord in His temple at Jerusalem. g) How Long one should wait for the fulfillment of this prophesy. All imposing things in the world can be shaken, and therefore will be removed. But God's we are connected with a kingdom that cannot be shaken. All things in this world can be shaken, and therefore will be removed. But we are in a kingdom that cannot be shaken; the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
