PELAKSANAAN PENGAJARAN ISI KANDUNGAN PENGETAHUAN/KEMAHIRAN YANG PERLU DIKUASAI a) Students should know how to relate the induction set .with the topic to be taught today.

3.1.4 Types of Computer Network : LAN (Local Area Network) A network that spans a small area usually confined to a single building or a group of buildings. MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) A network design for town and city usually larger than LAN. WAN (Wide Area Network) A network that spans a relatively large geographical area usually consisting of two or more LAN.

Students should be able to : 1. Remember the key words for each type of computer networks. 2. Give the example usage of each types of computer networks. .

3.1.5 Differences between the three types of computer networks.

Students should be able to : 1. State the three types of computer networks. 2. State the definitions of each type of computer networks. 3. Give at least three differences of LAN, MAN and WAN.

AKTIVITI PENGJARAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN PENGENALAN: Induction Set: a) Teacher tells a short story about the delivery system in the office. b) Teacher asks how the documents delivery system for Maybank ; Within the branch in the state. Within the branch in the country. Within the branch in the world. c) Students answer the questions. d) Teacher gives some cluefor students to relate with the tasks given in their homework given earlier.

PERKEMBANGAN PENGAJARAN Activity 1: 1. Teacher gives the definition of each types of network and highlight the keywords that students have to remember. 2. Student required to remember and said the key words of the definitions. 3. Teacher gives some examples of network usage for each types of network. 4. Students are then sharing and relating their ideas on their types of network usage in daily life. 5. Teacher give the differences among the three types of network based on the criteria. 6. Teacher simplifies and highlight the network concepts and relate it in our daily life.

Time : 10 minutes BBM: Module 3.1.4 Values : Cooperative, Tolerate, Active.

Activity 2: 1. Teacher asks students to be divided into 3 groups.. 2. Each groups will be given with a piece of paper consists of the key words for the definition of network and communication. 3. Students are given 5 minutes to rearrange the key words, paste it on the white board creatively and silently. 4. The first group with the best presentation of content will be the winner. 5. Teacher summarize and give some comments on the activities done.

AKTIVITI PENGAJARAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN Activity 3: 1. Teacher asks students to sit in their groups. 2. Students are given about 5 minutes to complete the individual worksheet on the differences between LAN, MAN and WAN. 3. Teacher give the correct answers. 4. The best two students will have to summarize it in front of the class. 5. Teacher conclude the main points in the topic.

PENUTUP a) Teacher randomly asks 2 students to state the definition of LAN, MAN and WAN. b) Teacher asks 2 students to state at least three out of five differences of each type of network learned. c) Teacher summarize all the topic that have been taught. TUGASAN Teacher asks students to complete Worksheet 2 in the Learning Module.
