Dear Colleague, I know that industries and companies invest a lot of money in setting up and running safety management systems and HSE departments. And it is my experience that often this investment of time and energy is not as useful as it should be. I also know that without adequate identification of hazards, and without suitable and sufficient effective risk assessment, there can be no effective control of risk. That means that accidents are much more likely to occur. And accidents lead to financial and physical loss, injury, ill health, and a poor safety culture. No effective industry can ignore the consequences of poor risk assessment. No workplace can be well managed and efficient without risk assessment and control. I want to help you to a comprehensive understanding this theory and process, so that effective risk assessment is central to your Safety Management System. Whether you are familiar with the theory and practice of risk assessment and control, or whether this is something new to you, I look forward to welcoming you on this course. Come and join us - I know that you will enjoy it and that it will provide you with both a new understanding of all aspects of risk assessment and with some essential practical skills. Warmest regards,

Anyone with responsibility for health and safety, whether a manager, supervisor, or a health and safety specialist, will find this course invaluable. Anyone with responsibilities like these must understand the significance of hazards identification, risk assessment and risk control. And, above all, those with responsibility for health and safety must know how to use risk assessment to improve safety management systems and so prevent loss, damage and injury. The course is certainly suitable for those who already have some expertise in risk assessment. But it is also designed to give complete beginners enough information and practical expertise to equip them for the task of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control.
