2. The context Functional brief Manufacturing is the key function of the plant/manufacturing location. It delivers the finished good which is thereafter dispatched for sales and distribution for earning the organisation its revenues and includes aspects such as General Shift operations, Rotational Shift operations, Cadbury Schweppes Manufacturing System (CSMS), Projects and Third Party Operations (TPO). 3. Job purpose To organise and coordinate the production in the rotational shift with minimum downtime in shift under norms matching to the cost, quality & quantity norms laid down by the organisation by effectively resorting to people management and material-machine coordination. 4. Job responsibilities Administrative Supervision of production activities production planning and troubleshooting during breakdowns or related problems Coordination with other departments such as Quality, Logistics and HR to ensure adherence to production plan Observation and compliance of safety and hygiene systems highlighting of abnormalities and implementation of corrective plans Generation and analysis of manufacturing MIS and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness Implementation of HACCP and monitoring of consumer complaints through periodic self audits Operational Involvement in TPM like 5S activities for increasing system efficiencies

Ensuring adherence to production planning through effective communication and supervision on the shopfloor Ensuring inventory control through development and adherence to inventory plan Maximization of machine capacity utilization with more output and less rejection in specified time

Documentation/IT leverage Maintenance of and dissemination of all manufacturing related MIS (in SAP wherever applicable)

Quality support Ensuring compliances of GMPs and FQPs Maintenance of hygiene in workplace Monitoring annual spend analysis versus budgeted costs Understanding and implementation of Factories Act and related guidelines on manufacturing processes Ensuring compliance to organisational policies and norms including EHS and CSMS Ensuring best possible manpower utilization for production schedules

7. Eligibilities and requirements Educational (as specific as possible): Diploma/Degree in Food Technology/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Experiential (correlated between years, role, seniority and organisation): Three to five years of experience in supervisory and engineering work in process industries such as Food or Pharmaceuticals
