1ranslator`s side point: lrom the explanation o Ibn Abil-`Izz rabivabvttaab, he says with regards to these two Names -
.ta,, ,that Allaah is Ler-liing, and .tQa,,oov ,that Allaah is the Independent One who sustains eerything,:
So these two Names, all o the rest o Allaah`s Perect Names return back and piot around these two. And all the
meanings o the other Names reer back to these two. Because the irst, .ta,aat - the attribute o lie, it necessitates
or lim all the attributes o perection, so no attribute will be missing rom lis attribute o lie except due to weakness
in that lie. So since the Lie o Allaah, the Most ligh, is the most perect and complete lie, then airming it means
airmation o eery attribute o perection or lim. As or the name .tQa,,oov, then this includes the perection o
Allaah`s Independence and the perection o lis Power since le is the One who independently exists and has no need
o anyone else in any sense, and le is the one \ho supports and sustains eerything else, and there is no establishment
or anything except i le establishes it. So these two Names gather completely the rest o the Names.

le is the One who created the creation and le has no need o them. Rather, le created them just
so that they should worship lim.
_ _ ,
And I did not create jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me alone.

So, le created them not because le had any need o them - that they should aid lim or assist lim
or help lim, le the One ree rom all imperections, or that they should deend lim. le only
created them so that they should worship lim. And they ,the people, are the ones who need that
worship in order to connect themseles to Allaah and to attach themseles to their Lord. So
`ibaaaab ,worship, is the connection between the person and his Lord. So it draws him closer to
Allaah, and through it he attains reward rom Allaah, and recompense. So, `ibaaaab ,worship, is a
need o the creation and it is not a need o Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic.

[15] The One who resurrects without any exertion
1he Lxplanation - Point |15[
1his is rom the amazing aairs o lis ability, that le causes the creation to die and causes them to
pass away so that they are destroyed and become dust and remains - such that an ignorant person
would say, It is not possible or these to be restored`. loweer Allaah the Mighty and Majestic will
resurrect them again, and le will restore their creation anew. And le will hae no diiculty in
doing this, as le the Perect and Most ligh said:
_ . `
1he creation of you all, and the resurrection of you all is just like that of a single soul.
,Soorah Luqmaan ,31,, aa,ab 28,

And He (Allaah) it is One who creates initially, and then He repeats it (the creation), and
that is even easier for Him. And for Him is the Highest Description in the heavens and in

,Sooratur-Room ,30,, aa,ab 2,

,Soorah \aaSeen ,36,, aa,ab 8,
And Allaah the Perect and Most ligh, said in response,
_ . , _ _
Say: He will give life to them Who created them for the first time!
,Soorah \aaSeen ,36,, aa,ab 9,
1he irst time they did not exist at all, so le brought them into existance rom nothing, le the
Perect and Most ligh. So, the One who created them rom non-existence, is le not able een
more so to bring them back into existence 1his is correct in accordance with the people`s intellect
but otherwise, analogy cannot be made between Allaah, the Perect, and lis creation. So this is just
stated as a similitude,
_ _
And for Him is the Highest Description
,Sooratur-Room ,30,, aa,ab 2,
So this a reutation o the denier, Allaah the Most ligh said,
_
And he forgets his (own) creation
,Soorah \aaSeen ,36,, aa,ab 8,

Meaning: this man, he orgets that Allaah produced him rom non-existence.
So Allaah will indeed gather together these separated bones, shredded lesh, disintigrated dust and
these scattered hairs, and le will restore them as they once were:
_ _ , _ _ _ ` __ ,
,
And from His (Allaah's) Signs is that the heaven and the earth are established by His
Command. 1hen, when He calls you with a single call, you will come out from the earth.
,Sooratur-Room ,30,, aa,ab 25,
. . _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _
And then the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is upon the
earth will faint and die, except whomever Allaah wishes. And then it will be blown again
and they will be standing up, looking on.
,Sooratuz-Zumar ,39,, aa,ab 68,
1he second blowing is the blowing or the resurrection.
And as or the irst blowing o the horn, it is the blowing or the people to aint and die.
_ _ _ _ _ _ . _ _ _ _
, _ _ , .
And the Horn will be blown and then the people will come out from their graves going
quickly to their Lord. 1hey (the unbeliever) will say: "Woe to us! Who has taken us out
from our place of sleep?" (1he believer will respond) "1his is what the Most Merciful
promised, and the Messengers spoke the truth!"

So Allaah indeed has Power and Ability oer eerything and this contains a reutation o the
unbelieers, those who say that Allaah is unable to gie lie to the dead and to return them to lie.
_ \ _, _ _` _ _
Does man think that We will not gather his bones together? Indeed, We are fully able even
to put his fingertips together.
,Sooratul-Qiyaamah ,5,, aa,aat 3-4,
_ _ _ _
On that Day (the Day of Resurrection) they will come out from the graves, hurrying as if
they are racing to a finishing post.
,Sooratul-Ma`aarij ,0,, aa,ab 43,
So this is the Power o Allaah, and lis \ill and lis \ish. Nothing makes lim incapable.
loweer, it is just that some o the creation, they draw analogy between Allaah and lis creation and
so thereore they hold that it is ar-etched that there will be any resurrection, because the person
thinks in his iew, that`s something impossible and he doesn`t look to the Power o Allaah and he
doesn`t judge Allaah`s Power as le deseres, and this is a case o ignorance with regard to Allaah
the Mighty and Majestic.

Lesson 7
J6 - ,_ -=, =| ,| -- .
J6 He has always had His Attributes, before His act of creation.
1he Lxplanation - Point |16[
1he saying o the author, 1he ancient One without any beginning
1
has already preceded. So,
there was nothing beore lim, le the Perect and Most ligh. And the meaning o that is that le
has the Attributes o Perection and lis Attributes o Perection are eternal, they hae always
existed and they always will. So just as le is the lirst without any beginning, then likewise, lis
Attributes ,are the same, since they are along with lim, le the One ree o all imperections. So,
they were always existing, just as Allaah the Perect and Most ligh has always existed. So it is not
the case that le existed beore without any Attributes and then Attributes came about or lim
aterwards as the people o misguidance say, those who say, le did not always hae Attributes and
then aterwards le came to hae them.` 1hey say so in order not to necessitate there being multiple
lords desering worship, as they claim, or multiple diinities in existence who are eternal, such that
the Names and Attributes would be partners with Allaah in lis Lternity. So we say, low ree is
Allaah o all deiciencies, vbbaav.ttaab! 1his ,saying, would necessitate that Allaah was deicient -
ligh and Lxalted is Allaah - that le was deicient or a period and then le came to hae Attributes
and so, became Perect through those Attributes, ligh and Lxalted is Allaah aboe what they say.
And the act that lis Attributes are eternal does not necessitate that there are other eternals lords.
Because the attributes are not something other than and outside the one who has those attributes.
Rather, they are meanings ound in the one who has the attributes. And an attribute is not
something independent o the one who has the attribute. So i you say or example, such and such
person hears and he sees and he has knowledge o fiqb ,he is a jurist, and he is a scholar o the
language and he is a scholar o grammar` does it mean that this person has become many people
So haing multiple attributes does not necessitate that the ones haing the attributes are multiple as
the people o misguidance hae said.
So Allaah, the One ree o all imperections and the Most ligh, lis Attributes had no beginning
just as lis Sel ,Dbaat, had no beginning. So Allaah has the Attribute o being the Creator ;.t
Kbaatiq) always and oreer.
And as or the actions o ,Allaah, the Perect, then they are eternal with regard to their type, newly

accordance with actions. So Allaah will not punish a person in accordance with lis Knowledge

a consequence o the Knowledge and not as a consequence o atQaar ,the Pre-decree,. So, there is a

1hese are titles and attributes mentioned in the Qur.aan with regard to the Messenger .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav and
other scholars mention many others besides these.
\ith regard to the abaaaeetb that were eidences or the names, they are:
1. 1he baaeetb o Jubayr ibn Mut`im raai,.ttaabv avb who said, Allaah`s Messenger .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav

Reported by Al-Bukhaaree as baaeetb 3532 and also by Muslim.

and Al-Haashir (the first one to be resurrected) and Nabeeut-tawbah (the Prophet of repentance) and
Nabeeur-rahmah (the Prophet of mercy).'
Reported by Muslim.
3. 1he baaeetb o ludhayah raai,.ttaabv avb who said, I met the Prophet .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav on one o
the paths o Al-Madeenah, so he said,

I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad and I am the Prophet of mercy and the Prophet of repentance

Reported by 1irmidhee in his Shamaa.il and declared a.av ,Good, by Shaykh Al-Albaanee.
4. 1he eidence or the last name, An-Nabee Al-Mustaaa` ,the chosen Prophet, is a slightly longer baaeetb. It is
an incident which happened in Al-Madeenah. Shaykh Al-Albaanee declared the baaeetb authentic ,abeeb, in his
checking o Ibn Katheer`s Seerah. 1he baaeetb is reported by Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad rom `Aw ibn
Maalik Al-Ashjaa`ee raai,.ttaabv avb who said,
1he Prophet sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam went off one day and I was with him until we entered a
church (synagogue) of the Jews in Al-Madeenah on a festival day of theirs and they disliked that we
should enter upon them. So he, sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam, said to them,

that He has upon them from every Jew beneath the sky.'

Lnd o explanation o point |41[
So they were silent, none of them answered him.
1hen he repeated it to them but none of them answered him. So he said, You have refused. So by
Allaah, I am certainly Al-Haashir (the one who will be resurrected first) and I am Al-`Aaqib (the last
Prophet), and I am An-Nabeeul-Mustafaa (the chosen Prophet) whether you believe or whether you
reject me'.
1he companion said, 1hen he departed and I was with him until we had almost gone out (of the
church of the Jews) when a man said from behind us, Remain where you are O Muhammad.' So that
man said, O company of Jews, what sort of person do you know me to be amongst you?'
1hey said, By Allaah, we do not know there to have been any man amongst us who knew the Book of
Allaah better than you do, nor anyone having more religious knowledge than you do, nor than your
father before you, nor than your grandfather before your father.'
He said, 1hen I testify in his favor that By Allaah! He is the Prophet of Allaah who you find
mentioned in the 1awraat.'
So then they said, You have lied' and they rebutted his saying and spoke evil of him.
So Allaah's Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, You people have lied, your speech will
never be accepted. You have just been praising him as you have done with good, but when he
believed then you declared him to be a liar and you said about him what you said. So you speech will
never be accepted.'
1he companion said, So the three of us went out Allaah's Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam,
myself and `Abdullaah ibn Salaam (the Jew who just entered into Islaam). No one else from the Jews
believed.
And Allaah the Most High sent down concerning him,

42 And he (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam) is the last of the Prophets and the imaam (leader) of those dutiful

1he Lxplanation - Point |42[
1hese are rom his attributes ata,bi..ataatv ra..ataav.
,,v ,- - 1he last (or seal) of the Prophets. 1he meaning o /baatav` ,,- seal, is the
one whom no Prophet will come ater. And the /bitaav ,,l.> - seal, o anything is that which is
placed upon it as a seal upon it so that nothing can be added to that thing and nothing can be taken
away rom it. So Allaah sealed the Messengership with Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav. le
the Majestic, in lis lighness, said,
_ ,_ _ _ . . _
And Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but rather, he is the Messenger of
Allaah and the seal (last) of the Prophets.
,Sooratul-Ahzaab ,33,, aa,ab 40,
So there is no need or the coming o any Prophet ater him because the Qur.aan is present and the
Prophetic Sunnah is present and the vtavaa. arrabbaavi, oov ,wise scholars who cultiate the people
upon the correct way, are present - calling the people to Allaah and giing clarity to the people. So
thereore, the religion o Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav will remain until the establishment
o the Last lour. It will not be changed, and it will not be abrogated, and it will not be altered
because Allaah, the One ree rom all imperections, has made it suitable and itting or eery time
and eery place. And as or the reealed laws o the preious Prophets, then they were temporary
or their nations in particular times and then Allaah abrogated those legislated laws rom beore,
with other legislated laws suitable or other nations.
Ior every people from you, we made a set of revealed laws and a clear way to proceed upon.
,Sooratul-Maa.idah ,5,, aa,ab 48,
And le, the Most ligh said,

Ior every revealed Book there is a set time period
,Sooratur-Ra`d ,13,, aa,ab 38,
Meaning, each Book ,rom the preious Books, has a set time period.
So the religion o Islaam is complete. It does not need any Messenger ater Muhammad .att.ttaabv
ata,bi ra .attav. And the scholars are the inheritors o the Prophets. So whoeer holds the belie
that there will come ater Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav any Prophet, then he is a
disbelieer in Allaah, outside the old o the religion. And the Prophet .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav
inormed that there were going to come liars, alsely claiming Prophethood ater him. le ata,bi.
.ataatv ra..ataav said,
'-', -- -' =-- +' ,``` ,-'- -- -'-- -- -- ` -'---`' -'=
1here will come after me thirty great liars, each one of them claiming that he is a prophet
and I am the last of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me.
3
So whoeer claims Prophethood, or has Prophethood claimed on his behal, or whoeer ollows
them, then all o them are unbelieers ,/vffaar,. And the Muslims hae ought against them and
hae declared them to be unbelieers. And the last o those whose ollowers claimed that he was a
Prophet in this present time was that Pakistani Qaaai, aavee. And these people ,the Qaaai, aavee, are
called the .bvaaee. as an ascription to his name because his name was Ahmad .tQaaai, aavee , io>l
_.l,>lsIl, and the scholars declared him to be an unbelieer ,/aafir, and they repelled him rom the
lands o Islaam and the declared his ollowers to be unbelieers since this is a denial o Allaah and o
lis Messenger. And their being unbelieers is by consensus o the Muslims, no one disagrees about
this.
So, it is essential that the Muslim beliees that he ata,bi..ataatv ra..ataav is the last o the Prophets
and Messengers and he is the leader o those haing taqraa ,those dutiul to Allaah,, meaning, that
3
1his is a baaeetb o 1hawbaan raai,.ttaabv avb and the basis o the baaeetb is in abeeb Muslim but this ull wording is
reported by Aboo Daawood and At-1irmidhee, declared abeeb ,Authentic, by Shaykh Al-Albaanee that 1hawbaan
raai,.ttaabv avb said, Allaah`s Messenger .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav said,
.,, ., _' .,, , .,. ,, -, ,', _' - - , .
. , ,- ', _ ' ,,, ,, _ ,
1he last hour will not be established until some tribes of my nation join with the mushriks and until they
worship the idols and there will be in my nation thirty great liars, each one claiming that he is a prophet and I
am the seal of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me'.`

he is the single example to be ollowed or those who are obedient and dutiul to Allaah, the Mighty

1here is indeed a fine example for you in Allaah's Messenger for whoever has hope in Allaah
and in the Last Day.
,Sooratul-Ahzaab ,33,, aa,ab 21,
And as or others besides the Prophet .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav, he is only to be ollowed i he

And the word .a,,ia` ,i,. - the noblest, means atvvqaaaiv ,,isoIl - the oremost one, and at

their ivaav ,leader, and he is at the head o them.
And the term: .,,- =_ _'-| - the beloved one of the Lord of the whole of creation, the
term babeeb` ,.,.>, is a term which has a point o criticism against it because it is not suicient to say
,that the Messenger `ata,bi..ataatv ra..ataav is, babeeb` ,the beloed one,. Rather, he is the /bateet`
- the especially close beloed one` o the Lord o the creation ,_,oIlaIl . _,I>,. And /bvttab ,I>, is
more excellent than just vababbab ,.>o - loe, because atvababbab ,loe, is o leels and the highest
o its leels is at/bvttab which is the purest loe. And no one attained this leel except or two men
rom the creation: Ibraaheem `ata,bi..ataatv ra..ataav,
And Allaah took Ibraaheem as a khaleel (especially close beloved one)

And likewise, our Prophet `ata,bi. .ataatv ra..ataav, because he himsel inormed about that saying,
- ,- _- = . ,- ,,,,
Allaah took me as an especially close beloved one just as He took Ibraaheem as a khaleel

5
So it should not be said about him that he is abeebvttaab - a beloed one o Allaah, because this
term is suitable or eery belieer and there is nothing special or the Prophet .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra

1he names o the Messenger o Allaah .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav are relectie o his characteristics
and not merely names.
1he Messenger o Allaah .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav is the last and seal o all the Prophets.
1he religion o Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav will remain until the establishment o the Last

Likewise, this is what it is obligatory to hold as our creed and belie with regard to the Prophet
.att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav. It is not suicient that we merely beliee that he is Allaah`s Messenger.
Rather, that he is a Messenger to all o mankind, indeed to the jinn and mankind. le the Most
Perect said,
And We have not sent you (as a Messenger) except to the whole of mankind, as a bringer of
glad tidings and as a warner
,Soorah Saba. ,34,, aa,ab 28,
And le also said to him,
, , _ _ _ _
Say, O mankind! I am the Messenger of Allaah to all of you.
,Sooratul-A`raa ,,, aa,ab 158,
So his Messengership was to all o mankind and this was something particular to him ata,bi..ataatv
ra..ataav. So he was a Messenger to all o mankind and obedience to him is obligatory upon the
whole o the creation - their Arabs and their non-Arabs, the black o them and the white o them,
mankind o them and the jinn o them. So, eeryone whom the call o the Messenger ata,bi..ataatv
ra..ataav reaches, then it is obligatory upon him to obey him and to ollow him. So whoeer agrees
that he ,Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav, is the Messenger o Allaah to the Arabs in
particular, as is said by a group o the Christians who say that he was indeed the Messenger o
Allaah, but to the Arabs in particular, and they deny that he was a Prophet to anyone else, then this
is /vfr ,disbelieing, in Allaah, the Might and Majestic, and it is a denial o what Allaah the Mighty

And (remember) when We sent a group of the jinn to you who listened to the Qur.aan. So
when they attended it, they said (to each other), Be silent in order to listen! So when he
(sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam) finished reciting, they (the jinn) went back to their people as
warners (of Allaah's punishment upon those who disbelieve). 1hey said, O our people! We

will enter the lire, whether it be rom mankind or rom the jinn. And his saying, (that he was

Points discussed in this excerpt include:
It does not suice or us to beliee that the Messenger .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav was merely
Allaah`s Messenger. Rather, le is a Messenger to all mankind and jinn.
Obedience to him .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav is obligatory upon the whole o the creation as his
Messengership is uniersal.
It is /vfr ,disbelie, to beliee that he .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav was a Messenger sent only to the Arabs.
It is obligatory to beliee that: ,1, he is the slae o Allaah and lis Messenger, ,2, he is the last o the Prophets
and there is no Prophet ater him and ,3, his Messengership was uniersal to all mankind and jinn.
\hoeer truly beliees in him will enter Paradise, and whoeer does not, will enter the lire.
`Adnaan, is that `Adnaan was a descendent o the Messenger o Allaah, Ismaa.eel ata,bi..ataav, who was the son o the
Messenger o Allaah, Ibraaheem ata,bi..ataav, who was the son o Aazar. And beyond that we don`t know, except that
Ibraaheem ata,bi..ataav was a descendent o the Messenger o Allaah, Nooh ata,bi..ataav and that Nooh ata,bi.
.ataav was a descendent o Aadam ata,bi..ataav.

[45] And that the Qur.aan is the Speech of Allaah.
1he Lxplanation - Point |45[
Ater you hae eevaav ,truly beliee, in Allaah the Mighty and Majestic, and you hae eevaav ,truly
beliee, in lis Messenger .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav, then, you hae eevaav ,truly beliee, that the
Qur.aan is the Speech o Allaah, because this is what the Messenger o Allaah .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra
.attav came with, and Allaah sent down the Qur.aan to him. And this Qur.aan is not rom the
speech o Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav nor is it rom the speech o Jibreel, rather, it is just
the Speech o Allaah, the Mighty and the Majestic. Allaah spoke with it, and Jibreel took it rom
Allaah, and the Prophet ata,bi..ataatv ra..ataav took it rom Jibreel atabi..ataav, and the Ummah
,this nation, took it rom the Prophet .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav.
So, it is the Speech o Allaah, it originated rom lim, le the One ree o all imperections. Jibreel
did not take it rom .tarb .tMabfoo ,Ls>oIl _IIl - the Presered 1ablet, as the people o
misguidance say. And it is not rom the speech o Jibreel nor Muhammad, rather, it is rom the
Speech o the Lord o the whole o creation. And as or Jibreel and Muhammad ata,biva..ataatv
ra..ataav, then those two were Messengers who coneyed rom Allaah the Mighty and Majestic.
lor speech is said by, and attributed to, the one who initially spoke it, not the one who said it only as
one coneying and transmitting it.
So, those who say that Jibreel took it rom the Presered 1ablet or who say that Allaah created it
within something and then Jibreel took it rom that thing, then whoeer says this is a /aafir
,disbelieer, in Allaah the Mighty and Majestic, who has disbelieed with /vfr which takes them out
o the Religion, as is the saying o the [abvi,,ab and the Mvtaitab and those who ollow their way.
So it ,the Qur.aan, is the Speech o Allaah - its letters and its meanings, Allaah spoke with it as le
wished. So, we describe Allaah with the Attribute o lis haing spoken, and .tKataav ,Speech, is
rom Allaah`s Attributes which are actions ,.ifaatibitfiti,,ab,. And the how` ,/a,fi,,ab, or the
manner in which le spoke with it, then in that regard we say, Allaah knows best about that.` So,
this is just like the rest o lis Attributes, we hae eevaav in them but we do not know how they are.
So the meaning is known but as or how`, then that is unknown to us.

[46] It originated from Him as something spoken without us knowing how; and He sent it
down to His Messenger as revelation.
1he Lxplanation - Point |46[
Meaning: that the Qur.aan descended rom Allaah, Allaah spoke with it and sent it down. It did not
descend rom someone else besides lim, and it did not originate rom someone other than lim. It
is not as they say, that it originated rom Jibreel or rom the Presered 1ablet or rom somewhere in
mid-air. Rather, it began rom Allaah and Jibreel heard it and he coneyed it to the Prophet
.att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav as rab, ,reelation, and the Prophet .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav, he
coneyed it to the people. And i this Qur.aan had been rom the speech o humans then someone
rom the people would hae been able to bring a .oorab the like o it. So, since they are unable to do
this, then this shows that it is indeed the Speech o Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic. le the Most

And if you are in any doubt about that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad

So, Allaah rendered them incapable o doing that, een though they were Arabs and eloquent in the

[47] And the believers attest to it as being the Truth upon that basis.
1he Lxplanation - Point |4[
So those who hae eevaav ,truly beliee, in Allaah and lis Messenger, they beliee that the Qur.aan
is the Speech o Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, and that Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav
was just one who coneyed ,the Message, rom Allaah.
And as or the saying o Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic,
__ _ _ _ , _ _
Indeed, it is the Speech brought by an honourable Messenger (Jibreel `alayhis-salaam)
possessing the strength to do whatever duty he is given, high in status with the Lord of the
1remendous 1hrone.
,Sooratut-1akweer ,81,, aa,aat 19-20,
So what is meant by its being ascribed to Jibreel, is rom the aspect o coneying; since it is not
possible that this Qur.aan is rom the Speech o Allaah ava rom the speech o Jibreel. Speech does
not come except rom one, so it is not possible to describe it as being the Speech o more than one.
And its being ascribed to Allaah is baqeeqi,,ab ,true and real, and as or its being ascribed to Jibreel,
then ,it is, rom the aspect o coneying it ,tabteegb - ,I..,. And in another aa,ab,
__ _ __ . `_ _ _
Indeed it is Speech conveyed by an honourable Messenger and it is not the speech of a poet,
little it is that you believe.
,Sooratul-laaqqah ,69,, aa,aat 40-41,
Meaning: Muhammad .att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav. So its being ascribed to him is an ascription o
coneying ,tabteegb,. So le, the One ree o all imperections, sometimes ascribes it to limsel, and
sometimes to Jibreel and sometimes to Muhammad ,.att.ttaabv ata,bi ra .attav,. And one and the
same speech cannot hae been spoken by more than one. So thereore, its being ascribed to Allaah
is an ascription with regard to its origin and that it is lis Speech, and its being ascribed to Jibreel
and Muhammad is an ascription o coneying.

1he Qur.aan is the Speech o Allaah and it originated rom lim, it is not created.
One who says that Jibreel took it rom the Presered 1ablet has disbelieed with /vfr which takes

It originated rom Allaah as something spoken without us knowing how, and le sent it down to lis

Jibreel and Muhammad `ata,biva..ataav were just Messengers who coneyed the Message ,Qur.aan,

1he same speech cannot hae been spoken by more than one.
\hen Allaah mentions: .Speech brought by an honorable Messenger and .Speech

is an ascription o coneying and not o haing originally spoken with the Speech.
