(b) giving true/false replies 1.3.1 (a), (c), (d) Objectives :By the end of lesson, pupils will be able to 1) enjoy listening to the stories. 2) ask their partners 5 Wh- questions 3) give true / false replies 8 to 10 statements by teacher. Steps Pre listening and speaking Teacher shows figurine of Puss in Boots characters Teacher encourages pupils to talk about the figurines. (eg Guess the characters, What they like and dislike about the characters.) While listening and speaking Teacher plays the fairy tale cartoon of Puss in the Boots and asks the pupils to listen carefully. Teacher asks questions to get responses pertaining to the story. Post Listening and speaking In pair, teacher asks the pupils to talk and ask wh questions about the story. (Pupils can use same questions from the while activity.) Using take off and touchdown motions pupils response to the statements giving by teacher. (True and false replies)

Day 2 Focus Theme Topic Learning Standard : Reading : World of Stories : Animals (Puss in Boots) : 2.2.3 Able to read and understand simple and compound sentences (b) simple sentences 2.3.1 Able to read for information and enjoyment with guidance: (a) fiction Objectives :By the end of lesson, pupils will be able to 1) talk about at least 3 characters and the flow of the story. 2) arranges 5 sentences in sequence. 3) match 8 out of 10 sentences with the correct pictures.

Steps Pre reading

Get pupils to say a simple tongue twister Puss in boots wears a hood in the wood Arouse pupils interest by looking at the pictures to recall on the story.

While reading Drill on the difficult words Read the story text Puss in Boots Answer simple questions about the story. Pupils sequence the sentence strips according to the story line.

Post reading Teacher divides pupils in several groups. Each group will be given one sentence strip about the story

Get all the pupils from every group to read the sentence strips. Each group has to put up the strips on the board in the correct order. Pupils work on the task sheets by matching the sentences with the correct pictures. Day 3 Focus Theme Topic Learning Standard : Writing : World of Stories : Animals (Puss in Boots) : 3.1.2 Able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling (b) simple sentences 3.2.2 Able to write with guidance (a) simple sentences Objectives : By the end of lesson, pupils will be able to 1) name all 5 characters in the story. 2) copy the sentences strips from previous lesson in neat legible print. 3) answer at least 6 Wh questions correctly.

Steps Pre writing

Teacher shows 5 characters in the story (eg push in boots, the monster, the master, the king and the princess) and pupils name them. Teacher and pupils read the story together (from previous lesson) While writing Teacher divided the pupils into groups Each group will get an envelope with sentence strips Pupils sequence the sentence strips according to the story line. Pupils copy and write the correct sentences in their exercise books. Post Writing Pupils answer the wh- questions based on the given pictures.

Objectives

:By the end of lesson, pupils will be able to 1) complete and colour the puzzle of Puss in Boots within 40 minutes 2) present their neat and quality group work within the given time frame.
