MENSAJE DE BIENVENIDA

Reciban el saludo de la Sociedad Peruana de Ciruga Cardaca, Torcica y Vascular, que est cumpliendo con su principal labor de promover la investigacin cientfica y su difusin en la comunidad mdica y profesionales de la salud. Luego del exitoso Congreso del 2012, estamos convocando a nuestro XVIII Congreso Internacional en la ciudad de Chiclayo, para los das 16,17 y 18 de mayo del 2013. Son muchas las razones por las que la Junta Directiva decidi seleccionar como sede a Chiclayo: La hospitalidad de su gente, por ello se la llama La Capital de la Amistad; el progreso alcanzado tanto en lo econmico como en lo cultural, llegando a ser foco cultural del norte del Per; esto aunado a su rica tradicin culinaria y los tesoros de patrimonio histrico (Precolombino y colonial) harn del prximo congreso, un encuentro acadmico de gran calidad. El Progreso de la especialidad en la Regin Norte es otro motivo importante para tener en cuenta. Chiclayo es referente para la solucin de los problemas de salud en las reas de ciruga cardiaca, torcica y vascular. Asimismo, hacemos de su conocimiento que en este ao contaremos con el encuentro I Per-Brasil Postdoctoral Joint Meeting on Cardiovascular Sciences a realizarse dentro del marco de nuestro Congreso. Los esperamos para compartir los avances de la especialidad, los logros y por supuesto gozar de la gastronoma y hospitalidad de Chiclayo.

Durante los das 17 al 21 de Marzo del 2012 se llev a cabo con gran xito el XVIII CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL DE LA SOCIEDAD PERUANA DE CIRUGA CARDACA TORCICA Y VASCULAR en el Hotel Sheraton, Lima. Se cont con la participacin de ms de 900 asistentes entre mdicos, especialistas y estudiantes de medicina del Per y pases hermanos.

CHICLAYO
Chiclayo Ciudad de la Amistad, ubicada en el departamento de Lambayeque, en la parte norte del Per, ofrece a visitantes y turistas una gran variedad de destinos tursticos, entre los que se encuentran, restos arqueolgicos, museos, reliquias y ms... Heredados de un pasado milenario, los mismos que marcan una gran parte de l a historia del Per.

En la ciudad de Chiclayo tambin encontrar todo el confort de una estada agradable, con la gran variedad de hoteles, restaurantes, agencias de turismo, centros de recreacin, rutas tursticas, empresas de transporte. Al mismo tiempo podr disfrutar de las comidas y bebidas tpicas de nuestra ciudad, regin y del encanto de nuestras costumbres.

Chiclayo se dice, viene de Chidayep o Chiclayoc, que esencialmente son vocablos mochicas, cuyo significado es verde que cuelga, otra versin desde el punto de vista etimolgico, en lengua mochica, son las palabras semejantes a Chiclayo, por ejemplo: Chiclayap o Chekliayk, que quiere decir lugar donde hay ramas verdes.

El Distrito de Chiclayo, se encuentra ubicado en la parte noreste en la provincia de su nombre, ubicada entre los ros Reque y Lambayeque. Limitada por el norte, con los distritos de de Lambayeque, Jos Leonardo Ortiz y Picsi por el norte, por el este con Pomalca; en tanto que en el sur con Monsef y la Victoria y por el Oeste con Pimentel.
