OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
Project 58

We encourage people to participate in Project 58-we fast our lunches on Fridays, bring the money we would have spent on lunch and drop the funds in the Project 58 receptacle at church. Project 58 funds are used to help people in need throughout the community. This week your donations allowed the Grace House to receive both Spanish and English bibles for hundreds of local families.

We encourage you to connect to Word of Life by membership! You can join Word of Life on Sunday, January 6 during either service. After the service, the pastors will meet you in The Life Center for a reception. Its easy to become a member. Sign up for the reception online, fill out a connect card, or call the church office. Well contact you with more details about New Member Sunday.

The Joseph Company is for ANYONE who wants to connect their work life to kingdom purposes and build their leadership skills! This gathering will feature a great DVD-based presentation, Forgiveness & Your Redemptive Story from Wes Stafford, the leader of Compassion International. Enjoy small group discussion and the world's greatest free home-cooked breakfast. RSVP online or call the church office (816.233.6367).

Pre-Marriage Group

Tuesday, January 15 from 7-9 PM

Explore the biblical covenant and blessings of marriage. Open to those in a "serious" relationship, engaged, or recently married. Attendance is encouraged for those desiring to be married at our church. Meets through February 12 in the downstairs conference room. Register online or in the foyer. Childcare is provided. Phil Keaggy Concert

Friday, January 18 at 7 PM

Word of Life welcomes Phil Keaggy, the world renowned guitarist, song writer, musical genius, master guitar player, and incredible singer. Phils heart is to declare the praises of the Lord. This is our regularly scheduled service. Admission is free.

John's Apocalypse An overview of the Book of Revelation Teacher: Pastor Derek Vreeland Tuesdays, 6-7:30 PM in the MYC An interactive discussion of one of the most fascinating and misunderstood books in the Bible. Childcare provided. Register at The Welcome Center. Learning Personality Profiles for Spiritual Formation Teacher: Peri Zahnd Choose between two time slots; Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 PM or Wednesdays from 10 to 11:30 AM. Both session meet in The Life Center. Discover the uniqueness of yourself and others in this womens small group discussion-based study. If childcare is needed, you must preregister at The Welcome Center. School of Prayer Teacher: Pastor Brian Zahnd Beginning January 23, Wednesdays, 7-7:45 AM in the Upper Room A 6 week course on cultivating a theologically sound prayer life.
