The exam format

Cambridge English: Financial covers all four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Each test is based on realistic texts, tasks and topics similar to those you would expect to encounter in your daily working life as a nance professional. The Speaking test is conducted face-to-face with two examiners and you will take your test with another candidate, making the test more realistic and reliable. Each of the four papers carries 25% of the total marks. Reading: 1 hour 15 minutes Shows you can deal condently with a wide variety of texts typical of situations found in international business and nance. Writing: 1 hour 15 minutes Requires you to be able to write a letter in response to correspondence that is provided, and a report covering specic points. Listening: 40 minutes Requires you to be able to follow and understand a range of spoken materials including interviews, discussions, telephone conversations and recorded messages. Cambridge English: Financial is a high-level exam for those who need to prove their English language ability in the context of nance and accounting. There are three passing grades: C1 Pass with Merit this indicates good achievement at CEFR Level C1 C1 Pass this covers the range of ability from a borderline pass to good achievement at CEFR Level C1 B2 Pass this indicates that your ability is within Level B2 of the CEFR.
