• Founder and permanent member of the Trio Fibonacci piano trio since
1998 (repertoire: Classical to the present day; international tours and
recordings; internationally recognised authority on contemporary
repertoire for the medium)
1996-1998 – Private classes with Daniel Domb, then Principal Cello of the
Toronto Symphony Orchestra
• CD recording of Reflexos for piano trio by Guilherme Bauer (Rio Arte, Brazil,
2000)
• CD devoted to music of British composer Jonathan Harvey (Atma Records,
Canada 2001) - In reference to the recording of Advaya for cello and
electronics, which appears on the CD, British critic Steve Lomas wrote: “The
brilliant performance of Gabriel Prynn more than holds its own against that of
Pierre Strauch on an Ensemble InterContemporain CD of Harvey’s music.”

• CD devoted to the music of Belgian composer Denis Bosse (Cyprès, Belgium,

• Trio Fibonacci performances have been televised in Canada, Brazil and China,
and their concerts have been broadcast on numerous occasions by Radio-
Canada and CBC Radio

Mr Prynn has maintained a private cello studio since 1999. He has also given
masterclasses, coached chamber music, and given workshops for composition and
