It is my aspiration to bring the creative energies of business into the greater service of our communities and the natural environments that sustain us. That is what brought me to Portland State in 2011 for the MBA program. With a strong commitment to fostering relationships, diversity, and learning, I draw from both my British and my Polynesian (New Zealand Maori) backgrounds to try to view the world in my own way. I have an educational background in business and human geography, and a working background in cross-cultural resource management, economic development policy, and intellectual property. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me! I am very pleased to be meeting you. Slater Swan Graduated from Oregon State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science in Audio Production.

The majority of my work background has been in project management, specifically working full-time at a summer camp. Aspiring to work in leadership development, teaching at a collegiate level and operating a consultancy. I look forward to coming to India. I have been interested in social enterprise and travelling in the country for quite some time!

Adam Kennedy I have an undergraduate degree in Political Science and French from a small private university in the Midwest. My first job was working for the French Government teaching English. After this I worked for a small company for a year in business to business sales and sales consulting. 3 years ago I joined Wells Fargo Bank in a sales role. I have moved up in the company to my current position as an assistant branch manager. I want to get involved in business development and finance. The Masters in Business Administration is the first step to accomplish this. Long term I want to be involved in sustainable international development, particularly microfinance. My goal of working in international development and microfinance is the driver for being involved in this program. I want to get first-hand experience seeing small scale development work and social enterprise in order to inform my future endeavors. Michelle Pages Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, after studying History and Spanish in college, I eagerly headed West to the ski town of Telluride, Colorado to pursue outdoor hobbies and a sales position for a boutique inbound vacation planning agency. With roles in sales, marketing, and operations, this experience provided my first formal exposure to the business world. However, eager to go abroad, I moved to Argentina to teach English for several months. Seeking broader educational and professional opportunities, I moved to Portland. For nearly four years I worked in sales, operations, and marketing at Avanti Destinations, an independent international tour operator. Ultimately, seeking to strengthen my knowledge of business, I decided to pursue an MBA at PSU. I am drawn to marketing and business development for socially and environmentally responsible companies. India has always been at the top of my travel list, and the practical / service element of the social enterprise program appealed to me tremendously.
