As I mentioned this past Sunday, I am humbled and 661-947-9571 overwhelmed at the generosity of God as He moves through His people. Because of your faithful and sacrificial giving we have been able to finish the year in a much better place financially. Now as we begin to budget for 2013 we must look past our bottom line needs. Its time to dream bigger, pray bigger and anticipate Gods powerful will to be done here in His church. We realize that in order to meet the ministry needs, more finances will be required and the best way to accomplish that is to add another service. Some of you know that much thought and prayer has been devoted to a second service. The draw back of a single cell church is that it will never grow beyond 80% full. So for us that means we will never grow past 80 worshippers on any given Sunday. There has been a core group of families who have been meeting for the last 6 weeks to pray and study Gods Word together. Our desire is to start a second service in February. We have determined that we dont want to be just another service that would allow a little more shut-eye on Sunday mornings. Instead our goal will be to see this new service as a church plant. In a church plant there is a do-or-die mentality that places a high commitment level on godly success. The idea is to take a small group of totally sold out and committed followers of Jesus Christ who are willing to submit to Jesus method of spreading the Gospel and allow that to be the catalyst for explosive growth. Let me share with you Jesus method of spreading the Gospel. First, He chose disciples solely on their willingness to follow Him. Second, He discipled them in being sensitive to opportunities in their daily living to lead men and women to follow Christ. Here is the commitment level necessary for a church plant to succeed. A willingness to follow Jesus. A commitment to being discipled in bringing the good news of the Gospel to those who are lost. (Small group 1 night a week.) A commitment to regular attendance in Sunday worship. A commitment to the financial support and prayer for this church plant. The new 10:45 service time is not exclusive but inclusive if there is a high commitment level to the church plant model. Please be in prayer as we enter into this exciting time for our church. Pray that there are many families who have a willingness to invest their time, talents, and treasure in an effort to share the good news of salvation in Christ to those who are lost. Every Sunday morning from 8:00am 8:45am, there will be intercessory prayer held in the Pastors office. Then, at 10:45 we have a prayer service, devoted to lifting up our hearts and prayers to the Lord. Come pray with us, as we lift up the ministries, the needs of our church and our community. Pray for those who are sick, in the hospital, or need prayers for their personal struggles. Our community groups provide an opportunity to move beyond Sunday worship. Small groups offer deeper relationships within the Body of Christ. We encourage you to join!
