Assess the roles played by different players in managing areas in which biodiversity are under threat.

We can classify biodiversity in terms of the totality of genes, species and ecosystem in a given area. Biological diversity refers to variability among living organisms, genetic diversity is the range of genes found within a particular species and species diversity is the variety of plant and species present in a particular ecosystem. As a result there are many different areas in which biodiversity is under threat. Different key players as a result will have different priorities and interests. Those operating at a global scale such NGOS such as Greenpaeaec and the WWF aim to stop the degradation of the planets natural enviorments- this can be done through active lobbying to stop the destruction of iconic species such as whales and polar bears and other endangered animals. However this may conflict with other IGOs such as the UN, who also aim
