andprofessionalandethicalbehaviorhavebeenintegratedwithlearningandbehaviorexpected from4thyearBachelorofCommercestudents. BusinessPolicy,alsocalledstrategicmanagement,isconcernedwiththedevelopmentonmanagement ofstrategyunderresponsibleleadershipinavarietyoforganizationsinthecontemporarycontext. Thecourseintegratestheoryandpracticeusingcases,organizationallybasedprojectsandclass discussionofthesecasesandprojects.Thisappliedlearningintegratescasedecisionmakingfor understandingtheinterplayofstrategicleadership,policyformulation,andstrategicmanagementin strategyimplementation.Thecontemporarycontextinvolvesprivatesector,publicsectorandsocial enterprise.ThecapstonecasecourseintheBachelorofCommerceprogrambuildsonandintegrates concepts,techniquesandtoolsofthepreviousthreeyearscourseofstudies.Assuchstudentsare expectedtobesufficientlyfamiliarwithmarketing,financialmanagement,operationsmanagement, economics,humanresourcesandgeneralbusinessconceptsasbackgroundpreparation.

LEARNINGOBJECTIVES
Uponsuccessfulcompletionofthiscourse,studentswillbeableto 1. Describeandassessthestrategiesofdifferenttypesoforganizationsinvariouscontexts 2. Applyconcepts,frameworksandtoolsinvolvedinstrategicmanagementinvarioustypesof organizationsandcontexts 3. Developworkandlearningobjectivesforasmallteam,andassessallmembersofthatteamon theirperformanceonthoseobjectives 4. Todevelopandpresentastrategicmanagementanalysisofanorganization Avarietyofindividualwork,teamworkandparticipationintheclassdiscussionofthatworkisusedto facilitatestudentsachievementoftheabovelearningobjectives.Specificexpectationsforeach assignmentwillbesummarizedinCourselink,butwillbediscussedinmoredetailduringclass.The gradesassignedtoeachcomponentofthecoursethatwillbeusedtoevaluatestudentsare summarizedbelow.
