Tasks 3 and 4 (P4 & M3)

1. Choose your client

2. List the top 3 components of fitness that are important to that client
(e.g. speed, agility, muscular endurance etc)
3. List the training methods which are suitable to train the components
you have listed - this is Specificity (training principle)

Example 1 - Speed – Interval training, Weight training & Fartlek

training

Example 2 - Strength – Weight training & Circuit training

Example 3 - Stamina/Endurance – Continuous training, Weight

training & Fartlek training

4. For weeks 1 & 2 your client will train 3 nights a week

For weeks 3 & 4 your client will train 4 nights a week
For weeks 5 & 6 your client will train 5 nights a week
This is showing Progression

During each week – introduce Overload

5. For F.I.T.T:
F = frequency – how many nights he/she trained each week
I = intensity – how hard your client trained
T = time – how long the training session lasted (e.g. 1 hour)
T = type – the training methods you choose (e.g. weight, circuit
training etc)
