Adirondack Business Development Partnership


Have you ever wanted to know what it takes to create a successful business from the ground up? Want to speak with local area professionals that did just this? On January 24 from 7:30 - 10:00am at the Great Escape Lodge, the Adirondack Business Development Partnership is holding a seminar called "Journey's to Success". From 7:30 - 8:15am there will be a breakfast buffet followed by a panel discussion with four of the areas premier business owners, moderated by Mark Frost from The Chronicle.

Paul A. Curtis, CPA, CVA, CMAP - Partner at CMJ, LLP Specializes in tax planning for corporations, partnerships and individuals. Extensive experience in planning and negotiating business mergers and acquisitions. Affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York State, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and Middle Market Investment Banking Association. Mark Miller - President of AMERICLEAN From a humble beginning, Mark has grown AMERICLEAN into a successful business with 20+ employees and 5 service divisions, specializing in industrial and commercial painting and cleaning services. Today, Marks customer list reads like a Who's Who of the Upstate New York Capital District - RBS Citizens Bank, St. Gobain, Price Chopper, Regeneron, Union College, Barton Mines LLC, Hannaford Stores, University at Albany, SCA Tissue and many other leading Albany-area business. Sara Mannix - CEO of Mannix Marketing As founder and CEO of Mannix Marketing, Sara oversees all aspects of the company, including corporate direction, portal development, and client and employee relations. After sixteen years in the business, Sara believes that there is still nothing more satisfying than knowing her company played an important role in helping a client's business be successful. Her philosophy is productivity and excellence in both Internet marketing and search engine optimization. Dennis Lafontaine - Owner of Martha's Ice Cream Martha's Ice Cream has been a staple of the Lake George area for over 50 years. Dennis's family have run the business since 1982, other than a a 10 year stint when the property was owned by the Great Escape. Marthas has always been known to be a gathering place for many. Whether it be the place the team came to after the game, or the place you shared a cone with your grandchildren, that special treat you saved for just you and the kids, or for dessert after dinner at a local restaurant.
