INVITATION FOR AIRFFICIENCY YEAR OPENER CHESS TOURNAMENT

Compliments of the new Season and best wishes! Botswana Chess Federation will start the 2013 calendar with the traditional Year Opener tournament that is scheduled for the last weekend of January. The tournament which is rated is open to all players and will have attractive prices. Details are as follows: Dates: 26-27th January 2013 Venue : Mogoditshane Senior Secondary School Entry fees: All sections are P100 (P75 entry fee + P25 as rating fee) Sponsor: Airffeciency (P10,000) Prizes: Open Section winner P2000, Women Section winner P1000 Format: 7 rounds, Swiss Pairing for both sections. Time control: 65 minutes for each player, without increment. Please note that the deadline for all entries and payment of registration fees is 25th January 2013, (registration is done at the chess office). Late entry fee payment will ONLY be allowed on 26th January between 7-8.00am at the playing venue.
