This Act may be cited as the "Defense Research Realignment Commission Creation Act". SEC. 2. (i) TERMINATION.--The Commission shall terminate on (h) FUNDING.--(1) There are authorized to be appropriated to the Commission such funds as are necessary to carry out its duties under this part. (j) MISSION. The Commission shall be tasked with all ongoing and proposed weapons systems

procurement contracts and research contracts awarded by the Department of Defense to outside contractors. The Commission shall generate a list of contracts that are wasteful: either costing to much, lacking a reasonable chance of yielding significant benefit, or otherwise harmful to the United States national interest. Using the mechanisms established in the DEFENSE BASE CLOSURE AND REALIGNMENT ACT OF 1990 (As amended through FY 05 Authorization Act) these
