Chapter1InstallationLocationand EquipmentLayout
1.1InstallationLocation
1. If the equipment is to be installed in themountain slope or on the flat ground undertheirontower,thenthesimplefencingorsheltershallbebuiltforthebase station. 2. Acementplatformisrequiredfortheequipmentinstallationtoensurethatthe equipmentismoresecure. 3. Ifthesoilresistivityofthesiteislowerthan700m,thegroundresistancefor thesiteshouldbelessthan10.Otherwise,theequivalentradiusoftheground gridshouldbeatleast20m,andhorizontalradiatinggroundconductorsthatare 20~30mlongshouldbelaidatthefourcornersofthegroundgrid.

1.2EquipmentLayout
1. Theinstallationlocationoftheequipment(suchastheBBU,itsinstallationrack, the RRU, and the lightning proof box) should meet the requirements of the engineeringdesigndocuments.Andifthereisanydeviation,itshouldbewithin theallowedrange(ifthereisnoengineeringdesigndocument,theinstallation locationshouldmeettheusersrequirementsanditshouldbeapprovedbythe userwiththeuserssignature.) Thefrontsideoftheracksorcabinetsinthesamerowshouldbeonthesame line.

2. TheRRUshouldbeinstalledataplacewithgoodventilation.Ifconditionallows, itshouldbeinstalledataplacewithlittlesunshine,forexample,underashade. Besides,itisprohibitedtoinstalltheRRUattheexitofthesmokepipeoratthe placewherewatermayrunby. 3. TherequirementsofequipmentlayoutwhenusingBC8910cabinetare: a) Atleast300mmofspareroomshouldbekeptatbothflanksofthe BC8910cabinet.Atlest300mmofspareroomshouldbekeptbehind thecabinetandatleast800mmofspareroomshouldbekeptinfront ofthecabinetformaintenance. b) TheBBU,cabletroughsandLPUshouldallbeinstalledinthecorrect positions. c) 4. 7. Before the BBU is installed, the windshield plates must be dismounted.

Anoutdoorlightningproofbox(OLP)shouldbeequippedforeachRRU,and thedistancebetweenRRUandOLPshouldbeshorterthan1m. RRUshouldnotbeinstalledbacktobackwiththeantennatoavoidrearlobe interference.Ifthereisnoavailablespacetopreventthisfromhappening,RRU shouldbeinstalledlowerthanthemidlengthoftheantenna,andatadistance >=50cmfromthebackoftheantenna.AnadditionalsupportforRRUandOLP maybeneeded.

When OLP and RRU are installed to the same support pole, they should be installed in a backtobackmode. OLP and RRUmust not be installed above theantenna,exposingthejumpertotherearlobe.

When OLP and RRU are installed at the same height against the wall, the distancebetweenthemshouldbeatleast100mm.Iftheyareinstalledinan upanddown mode, the OLP should be above the RRU and the distance betweenthemshouldbeatleast300mm.

10. When OLP and RRU are installed on the platformof an iron tower, the RRU equipmentshouldbeinstalledontheinsideoftheplatformtoalloweasyaccess for replacement. An additional bolt may be needed to fix the bracket to the horizontalbeamandpreventtheequipmenttomovesideways.

11. IftheOLPandRRUareinstalledagainstthewall,theequipmentshouldbeat least1mfromthelightningprotectivestripandthegroundcableofthelightning rod.

Chapter2EquipmentInstallation Techniques
1. The equipment location shall meet the engineering design documents. And certain room has been reserved for subsequent maintenance and expansion. 2. Theverticaldeviationofthecabinetsshallnotexceed1ofthecabinet height. 3. Afterthecabinetsareinstalled,theyshalllookneat.Thesamerowand lineofcabinetsshallbeonthesamesurface,withadeviationnotmore than5mmallowed. 4. Beforethecabinetisinstalled,acementplatformshouldbebuiltatfirst. Thenthecabinetisinstalled,withacertainmaintenancespacereserved. Unlesstheroofsupportstheweightofanadditionalcementplatform,Itis prohibitedtoinstalltheexpansionboltsdirectlyonthebuildingroof.Ifan existing noncement platform must be used, cabinet must be securely anchoredtoitensuringitdoesntshakes. (1)Iftwocabinetsarepiled,thenthemaintenancespaceshouldmeetthe followingrequirements:theleftside,therightsideandtherearsideofthe cabinetsshallallhaveatleast300mmofspacereserved,andthefront sideshallhaveatleast800mmofspacereserved

Iftheareareservedtoinstalltheequipmenthavesurroundingwallsthat voidstheinstallationreservingtherequired30cmintheback,itisallowed to install the cabinet facing the rear wall with one side, reserving 5cm fromthewalltothesideofthecabinet

(2)Iftwocabinetsareinparallel,thenthedistancebetweenthemshallbe at least 50mm and the cement platform shall meet the following requirements: the left side of the left cabinet, the right side of the right cabinetandtherearsideofthetwocabinetsshallhaveatleast300mmof space reserved, and the front side shall have at least 800mm of space reservedtoallowtoopenthedoor.

5. Iftheaboverulesarenotapplicableduetothelackofspace,equipment backandoneofthesidescanbeputagainstthewall,consideringasafe distanceofatleast5cmfromthewalltotherearorsideofthecabinet, andreservingenoughcablelengthsatthebottomofthecabinettoallow BC8910 cabinet to be lifted and displaced to the front in order to allow maintenance of power connections or site expansion. While BC8910 cabinet is displaced, measures to guaranty its stability and safeguard mustbetaken. 6. The shakeproof measures shall meet the engineering design requirements. And the accessories of shakeproof anchors shall be in completesetandbefixedcorrectly. 7. The cabinet and the base are connected reliably. The cabinet shall not shake. 8. Expansion bolts for the cabinet or base (support) shall be installed correctlyandsecurely,andalltheinsulatingwashers,flatwashers,spring washers,boltsandnutsshallbeinstalledinthecorrectsequence,without reverseinstallation. 9. If the insulating anchor is fixed, make sure the expansion bolts are insulatedfromthecabinet.

10. Allthefastenersshallbescreweddown. 11. All the parts of the cabinet shall not fall off or have damages. The connectionshallnotfallofforbreak. 12. Allthelogosandlabelsshallbecorrect,completeandclear. 13. Afterthecabinetisinstalled,itisrequiredtocleanitsinternalandexternal surfaces. 14. Pushthecoverplatesatthetopandbottomcableholestopreventsmall animalsfromentering. 15. Anyengineeringwastematerialslikeunusedelectriccables,cutoffcable pieces,etcaredisposedoff.Thereshouldbenocableclipsorsundries left at the installation site. Any waste materials should be put in a dust cover,closedtightlyanddisposedoff. 16. After installation is concluded, no surplus materials or tools should be keptstoredinsidethecabinets\ 17. IftheBBUisinstalledinanoutdoorBC8910cabinet,thetopcoverofthe BC8910cabinetshouldbecorrectlymounted,andthebaseandbatteries shouldalsobesecurelyfixed.Aftertheinstallation,thecableholesatthe bottomofthecabinetmustbesealed,andthemouthoftheratproofbag atthetopofthebatterycabinetmustbesecurelyclosed. 18. The same type of bolts should be installed in the samemode and in a consistentdirection. 19. NomatterwhichinstallationmodeisadoptedfortheRRU,theRRUcable connectors must face downward. It is prohibited to keep them facing upwardortowardeitheroftheflanksides. 20. IftheRRUisinstalledoutdoors,asunshieldmayberequired,andfixed accordingtotheclimate.Allthecomponentsofthesunshieldshouldbe incompleteset,andthesunshieldshouldbefixedsecurely. 21. IftheRRUandOLPareinstalledtothepoleorirontower,specialhoops mustbeusedtofixthem.Itisprohibitedtouseotherfixingparts.

Chapter 3 Installation of Antenna Mount andRRUPole


1. 2. The locations of the antenna mount and RRU pole should comply with the engineeringdesigndocuments. The antenna mount should be fixedfirmly. It isrecommended to select poles whosewallthicknessisatleast 2mmanddiameterislongerthan 60mmor polesthatmeetthedesignrequirements. The RRU pole should be fixed firmly. It is recommended to select the pole whosewallthicknessisatleast2mmanddiameterrangesfrom60mmto114 mmorthepolethatmeetsthedesignrequirements. The antenna poles should be erect, with a vertical deviation less than 2 allowed. WhentheengineeringworkersfixtheantennamountorRRUpole,theoriginal waterprooflayeroftherooftoporthewallshallnotbedestroyed.Concretepiers arerecommendedtofixthem.Perforationshouldbeavoided.Ifperforationis required,waterproofmeasuresmustbetaken. Alltheantennamountpolesintheirontowershouldbefixedtotheirontower firmlyandsecurely. Alltheantennamountpolesmustbefixedfirmlyandunmovable.Andtheymust meetthewindproofrequirements(againstthestrongwindofscale12atleastor aspertheengineeringrequirements). IftheRRUisinstalledtoapole,thelightningrodshouldnotbemountedtothe same pole. If it is mounted to the same pole, it is recommended to lead the lightningrodseparatelydowntothegroundormountaseparatelightningrod nearthispoleforlightningprotection. Theantennamountmustbegroundedandwithinthe45protectionrange of thelightningrod.

Chapter4InstallationofOutdoorCable Trays
1. Theinstallationpositionsand heightsshallcomplywiththe engineering designrequirements. 2. The cable tray and the wall or the cabinet row shall keep parallel,with 2mmofhorizontaldeviationpermeterallowed. 3. Thecabletrayshallbelevelorplumb,andthespecificationsofthelevel ironsshallbeconsistent.Bothendsofthelevelironshallbeclosetothe flatsteelsofthetrayandthelevelironclips.Thelevelironsandflatsteels ofthecabletrayshallbeperpendiculartoeachother. 4. Components such as level iron clips and fastening bolts shall be in completesetandfirmlyfixed. 5. Thelevelironsofthecabletrayshallbeevenlyspaced.Iftheyobstruct cabling,thespacescanbeadjustedappropriately. 6. The troughs shall be installed in a straight, flat and secure way. The troughsinthesamelineshallbealigned,with2mmofdeviationallowed atthejointsoftwotroughs. 7. Theprotectiongroundofthecabletrayshallcomplywiththeengineering designrequirements. 8. Reliable electric connection shall be ensured between the connected trays. 9. Thegroundsupportpolesofthecabletraysshallbeinstalledinavertical andreliableway.Thereinforcementsupportshallbeinstalledstablyand securely,withthehangersfixedneatlyandvertically. 10. Theindoorcabletraysshallbegroundedreliably.Forthelongcabletrays, itisrecommendedtogroundthemonceevery5meterswithmultistrand 2 copperwire,whosecrosssectionalareaisatleast16mm .

Chapter5CableDistributionand Connection
5.1CablingRequirements
1. Routesofthepowercables,groundcablesandsignalcablesshallsatisfy the engineering design requirements and product installation requirements. 2. Differentkindsofcablesshallbelaidseparately,withtheirroutesclear, smooth,straightandwithoutcross.Finally,thecablesshallbebundled withpropertightness. 3. Thecablesoutsidethecabinetshallnotintertwist.Andcablesshallnot bendin360inthecabletray.

4. Itisprohibitedtosuspendthecablesintheairinsidethecabinet. 5. .Cables and connectors in the cabinet that are redundant or for subsequentexpansionmustbeplacedinthebase. 6. Thecablebendingradiusshallmeettherelatedrequirements.

5.2BundlingRequirements
1. Cables must be bundled neatly and close to each other. The cable surface shall be the same level, either horizontally or vertically, with a deviationnotmorethan5mmallowed. 2. Toavoidcorebreaking,thetiesshallbebondatthetwosidesnearthe bundlebendratherthanatthebend. 3. Thetiespecificationisright.Thelargerthesectionalareais,thelonger andwidertiesshouldbeused(tosustainlargepullforces).Avoidusing the ties in serial connection. If the ties have to be used in serial connection,atmosttwotiescanbeconnected. 4. The cables shall not loosen in the ties. The cable ties shall face a consistentdirection.Theintervalsbetweenthetiesshallbeevenandtidy

(usually 300mm~1000mm). For the horizontal cable tray, the interval between two neighboring ties shall not exceed twice that between two neighboringcrosspieces.Fortheverticalcabletray,thecablesmustbe bundledtoeverycrosspiece. 5. Thesurpluspartofthetieshallbecutoff.Forthetieinsidethecabinet, the surplus part shallbe completelycut offfrom the buckle. For the tie outside the cabinet, the surplus part shall be neatly cut, with 2mm left fromthebuckle.

6. Itisprohibitedtomixtheblacktieswiththewhiteones.Whitetiesshall beusedinsidethecabinetwhileblacktiesusedoutsidethecabinet. 7. Powercables,groundcablesandsignalcablesshallbelaidseparately alongthetwosidesofthecabletray. 8. Thecablesurfaceshallbeclean,withoutengineermarks.Theinsulating layersofprotectivetubesshallhavenoscratchesorsignsofdamage.

5.3CableConnection
1. The cut ends shall be covered with proper tubes or wrapped with insulatingtapes. Thecolor ofthetubesand tapes shouldbeconsistent withthecables(excepttheyellowgreenPGNcables). 2. Forthesamekindsofcables,thelengthofthecablecutendsshallbethe sameandsoasthetubesandinsulatingtapes.Thedeviationshallnot exceed5mm. 3. The welded cable shall not have open joints, false welding, missed welding,wrongweldingormixedwelding.Thecorewiresshallbeclose to the terminal. The joints shall have no sharp tips or lumps. The insulating layers of the core wires shall not be burnt. And the length of copperwiresexposedintheairshallnotexceed2mm. 4. Allcablesareconnectedproperly,securelyandneatly.Itisprohibitedto havewrongcableconnections. 5. Whenthecablesareconnectedtothecopperbar,theoxidelayerofthe copperbaratthegroundingpointshallberemoved. 6. Ifthecablesareconnectedbyscrews,thescrewsshallbetightened.

5.4GroundingandWaterproofingMeasures
1. Before the outdoor cables are grounded, the oxide layer of the grounding point shouldberemovedfirst.Andthegroundingterminalsshouldbeseparatelycrimped fast. WhentheRRUisinstalledtothepole,thelightningrodshouldnotbeinstalledon thepole.Ifalightningrodhasbeeninstalledonthepole,itshouldbeleddownto

the ground separately or another lightning rod should be set up near the pole to protectthatonthepole.WhentheRRUandthepoleareelectricallyconnected,the groundcableoftheRRUchassisshallnotbeconnectedtothepoledirectly.Instead, theRRUinstallationkitandthepoleshouldbesecurelyinsulated,andtheground cableofRRUandthatofthepoleshouldbeledtothegroundgridseparately. 3. Whenthegalvanizedflatsteelisgrounded,theweldinglengthshallnotbelessthan 100mm(twiceoftheflatsteelwidth)toensurethegroundingresistanceissmaller than0.1. If the building is equipped with lightning protective strip, the down lead of the lightningrodshouldbeweldedontothestripotherwise,thedownleadshouldbe connectedtothenewgroundgrid.Thetowershouldbegroundedreliablywhenitis fixed. If there is an outdoor cable tray, it should be grounded about every 20 m by a 2 multistrandcoppercablewhosecrosssectionalareaisnotlessthan16mm ora pieceof40mm4mmgalvanizedflatsteel. All of the outdoor metal connecting joints and the grounding points must have antirustpaintandanticorrosiontreatmentsuchasantirustpaintandbuttercoating. The copper ground terminals on the ground bar should use a copper lug and be fastenedbyanut. Whilethebasicrequirementsforcablelayoutaremet,allthecablesconnectingto thegroundbarshouldbelaidintheshortestroutes. When the RRU is installed outdoors, the lightning protection and grounding measures should meet relevant requirements. The RRU and OLP should be 2 connectedbyacoppercablewhosecrosssectionalareaisnotlessthan16mm to thenearbytower,thelightningprotectivestripontheroofofthebuildingortothe cabletray.Thewiringrouteshouldnotbelongerthan2mandthegroundingpoints should be firmly crimped. And a copper ground bar can be installed when necessary.Thegroundcablesshouldbeconnectedtothegroundcopperbarfirst, andthenconnectedtothegroundgridbymultistrandcoppercablesorflatsteel.

10. The protective ground cables of the ILP should be connected according to the followingprinciples: i. Whentheequipmentisinstalledinarelativelylowerfloorroom(forexample, on the second floor of a tenfloor building), and the ground bar out of the feeder outlet is directly connected to the ground grid by a piece of well connected flat steel or a conductor, the ILP should be connected to the outdoorgroundbarbyayellowgreenprotectiveground(PGND)cablewitha 2 sectionalareanot lessthan16mm .Thelengthofthe PGNDcablesshouldbe within3morbe5matmost. Whentheequipmentisinstalledinahigherfloorroom(forexample,onthetop of the building), the outdoor ground bar out of the feeder outlet should be connectedtothegroundgridbythelightningprotectivestriponthebuilding, andtheindoorgroundbarshouldbedirectlyconnectedtothegroundgridfrom inside of the building. When the distance between the ILP and the outdoor groundbarislongerthan5m,theILPshouldbeconnectedtotheindoorMET by a yellowgreen ground cable with a cross sectional area notless than 16 2 mm .Ifthe indoor METis coveredin the previous project,making it hard to connectwiththegroundingpoint,theILPshouldbeinstalledneartheindoor ground bar, and be connected to it by a yellowgreen PGND cable whose 2 crosssectionalareaisnotlessthan16mm .Usually,therouteofthisPGND cableshouldnotbelongerthan2m. IfthePGNDcable islongerthan2m,itis requiredtoconnectthegroundbarinsidetheILPandthatinsidetheDCpower 2 cabinetwithagroundcablewhosecrosssectionalareaisnot lessthan6mm .

11. Outdoor DC power cables should be grounded on both ends in the lightningproof box by the metal fasteners clamping the shielding layers. And a grounding clip shouldbeusedtoclamptheshieldinglayeroutofthelightningproofbox.Outdoor DCpowercablesshouldbegroundedoutsidethelightningproofboxasfollows: i. ii. iii. IfL<=5m,thenthegroundingpointisnotrequired. If 5 m < L <= 20 m, one ground point is required within 2 m away from the feederoutlet. If 20m < L<= 60m, two ground points are requiredwith the additional one within2mfromthepointwherethecableleavesthetowerortherooftop.

iv. IfL > 60m,agroundingpointshouldbeaddedevery20moremeters. LreferstothelengthofoutdoorpartoftheoutdoorDCpowercable. 12. The cables containing metal components should have good shielded grounding measures before entering the equipment room. If the cables are shielded or coveredwithsteelpipes,theshieldinglayersorbothendsofthesteelpipesshould be grounded securely. And when the cables are covered with steel pipes, the connectorsbetweenpipesshouldbeconnectedwithscrewsandwithoutinsulation to ensure secure electric contact between steel pipes. (The contact resistance betweentwopipesshouldbelessthan1. 13. When the RRU and OLP are installed on the roof of the building, the equipment groundingpointonthelightningstripshouldbemorethan5mawayfromthatofthe down lead of lightning rod on the lightning strip. When the RRU and OLP are installedonthetower,thegroundingpointonthetowershouldbemorethan1.5m awayfromtheweldingpointofthelightningrod. 14. Theoutdooraerialcablesshouldhaveprotectionmeasures(likearmor,metaltube and grounding). And the aerial cable entering the equipment room should have lightning protection measures (like surge protector, overcurrent protector and grounding). 15. Theequipmentroom,outdoorequipmentandantennashouldbeinstalledwithinthe protectionareaofdirectlightningstrike. 16. Cable distribution equipment (such as MDFs, DDFs, and ODFs) should be groundedsecurely. 17. Protectivegroundcablesshouldbegroundedseparately,andDCandACground cablesshouldbegroundedseparately. 18. Except intentionally designed equipotential connection between racks, the protectivegroundcablesshallnotbeconnectedinseries. 19. The indoor ground bar and the outdoor ground bar should be connected to the groundgridseparatelyratherthaninseries. 20. When the RRU is installed outdoors, all the RRU connectors (including feeder connectors, power cable connectors, monitoring cable connectors, and AISG connectors except the optical fiber connectors) should be wrapped in the order onelayervinylelectricaltape+threelayerrubbermastictape+threelayervinyl electricaltapetoresistwater.AndtheopticalfiberconnectorsontheRRUrequire two layers of vinyl electrical tape. When the RRU is installed indoors, waterproof treatmentisnotrequired. 21. 5.5PowerCables&GroundCables
1. The routes of the cabinet input power cable and its protective ground cableshallcomplywiththerequirementsofthedesigndocuments.The routes of the power cable inside the cabinet shall meet the production installationrequirements. 2. The cross sectional areas of the power cables and the ground cables shall comply with the product installation requirements. The cross 2 sectional area of the ground cables shall be at least 35 mm and they shallbeconnectedreliablytotheindoorgroundcopperbar.Andthatof 2 theDCpowercableshallbeatleast25mm andtheyshallbeconnected reliably. 3. The cabinet input power cable shall be the 220V 3cored singlephase cableorthe380V4cored3phasecable.TheDCpowercableinsidethe cabinet or between cabinets shall be the 2cored outdoor interwoven 2 2 shielding cable (16mm ) or the blue cable (16mm ). The 48V GND powercableshallbeblack,andthegroundcableshallbeyellowgreen. 4. Power cables and ground cables shall be made of wholepiece multistrandcopperwires.Thereshallbenojointinthemiddleofacable anditsinsulatinglayershallbeintact.Thesurpluspartsshallbecutoff ratherthanbeingcoiledorbentrepeatedly. 5. 5.6OpticalFibersandTrunkCables
1. Whentheopticalfibersaredistributedviathefiberdistributionbox,the endofthetailfiberprotectiontubeshallnotbemorethan0.5mawayfrom thefiberdistributionbox. 2. The cable ties to fasten the tail fibers inside the cabinet shall be nylon velcroties.Andthetailfibersshallbeabletobedrawnfreelyinthecable ties. 3. Theopticalfibersshallbelaidstraightly.Thereshallbenoothercables ontheirtop.Andtheyshallbekeptfromthesharpedgesofotherobjects. 4. Theopticalfibersshallenterthecabinetfromtheleftsideatthebottomof thecabinet. 5. Thecutendoftheprotectiontubeshallbeneatwithoutburrs.Thejoint between two tubes shall be wrapped with electrical insulating tapes to avoiddamagestothetailfibers. 6. Thetightlysealedcap,protectivecapandundulatedpipeshouldnotbe removedtooearly,topreventtheendfaceofthefibersconnectorfrom being polluted by dust. They should be removed just before the equipmentportsareconnected. 15. Iftheoutdooropticalfiberisdistributedattheplaceeasytobetreaded (includingtheareafromoutdoorcabinettothebottomoftower,andthe area from equipment feeder outlet to the bottom of tower), the outdoor optical fiber should be protected. When optical fiber connector at the BBU side is connected to optical module,theenclosure oftheconnectorshouldbe graspedinhandand pluggedintoopticalmodule,ratherthanthesheathatitsbottom. 25. When the optical fiber connector at the RRU side is connected to the opticalmodule,theopticalfibershouldbefastenedsteadilywithties1m to2mawayfromopticalfiberconnector.Andthen,theconnectionshould be made according to right procedures (The diagram of connecting procedures hung on the optical fiber at the RRU side should be read). When the connector of optical fiber is plugged, the inner sleeve and opticalfiberplugshouldbegraspedwithinonehand,andtheconnector of opticalfiber should be pushed slowly into the opticalmodule in right directionaftercarefulobservation. 26. AftertheoutdooropticalfiberisconnectedtotheRRU,itisnecessaryto wraptheconnectors.Theconnectorsshouldbewrappedwith2layersof vinylelectricaltapefirstfromtoptobottomatthefirsttimeandthenfrom bottom to top at the second time. 6.1InstallationofAntennaMount
1. 2. The locations of the antenna mount should comply with the engineering designdocuments. The antenna mount should be fixed firmly. It is recommended to select poleswhosethicknessisatleast2mmanddiameterislongerthan60mm orpolesthatmeetthedesignrequirements. Theantennapolesshouldbeerect,withaverticaldeviationlessthan2 allowed. When the engineering workers fix the antenna mount, the original waterprooflayeroftherooftopshallnotbedestroyed.Concretepiersare recommendedtofixthem.Perforationshouldbeavoided.Ifperforationis required,waterproofmeasuresmustbetaken. Alltheantennamountpolesontheirontowershouldbefixedtotheiron towerfirmlyandsecurely. 6.4GroundingCables
1. If the soil resistivity of the site is lower than 700m, the ground resistanceforthesiteshouldbelessthan10.Otherwise,theequivalent radiusofthegroundgridshouldbeatleast20m,andhorizontalradiant ground conductors that are 20~30m long should be laid at the four cornersofthegroundgrid. 2. The route must be correct and comply with the engineering design requirements.Thebendsoffeedersmustberoundandsmooth,with a bending radius at least 20 times the outer diameter of the feeder (the bending radius of a soft feeder shall be at least 10 times the outer diameterofthefeeder).Thefeedersshallnotbebentrepeatedly. 3. Chapter7InstallationofGPSAntennaand Feeders(Optional)
1. The installation position of the antenna should first satisfy the engineering requirements. Then, it should be installed as close to the equipment room as possible,soastosavethefeederlength.WhentheGPSantennaisinstalledatthe topofthebuilding,itcanbeinstalledontheparapetpole,horizontalcabletray,or thepolebesidethehorizontalcabletray.Whenitisinstalledatthepolebesidethe horizontalcabletray,thedistancebetweenthepoleandthecabletrayshouldnot be longer than 20 cm. The antenna should not be installed at the tower top. If it must be installed at the lateral part of the tower, the installation height cannot exceed5m.Underthiscondition,theprojectingpolecanbeused,andthedistance betweenthepoleandtowershouldbemorethan1m. Protectioncapsshallbeappliedtotheidleopticalinterfacesandsockets. 9. Thecableholesinthecabinetshallbewellprotectedandsealed. 10. Thecabinetdoorcanbeopenedandclosedsmoothly. 11. Thecabinetsurfacesshallallbeclean. 12. Allthefixingboltsshallbescrewedtightly. 13. For outdoor cabinets, waterproofing and sealing treatment must be appliedtothecablingholesandthespacingbetweencabinets. 14. 8.2Labels
1. The power cable breakersfor the ZTE equipment in the power cabinet and power distribution box shall bear labels indicating the cable directions. 2. Thelabelsfortheabovebreakersshallbepastedtidily. 3. Bothendsforallcablesmustbearlabels.Thelabelsinsidethecabinet shallbestandardpasterlabelsandthelabelsoutsidethecabinetshallbe plastictags. 4. OutdoorlabelsforfibersandDCpowerorRRUshouldbefixedonevery workingplatformifthetowerheight>=30m. 5. The feeder labels shall be outdoor tags. They shall be one for the antennafeeder,threefortheoutdoorfeeders(onepointneartheantenna feederconnector,onenearthecabinetinletbeforethefeederentersthe cabinet,andonebeforeitleavestheirontowerorrooftop),andonenear theracktopjumper.

6. The feeder shall be labeled, with the label 200mm away from the connector. 7. The cables in the cabinet shall be labeled at consistent positions. The powercables,groundcables,transmissioncablesandopticalfibersshall belabeled,withthelabels20mmawayfromthecableends. 8. Nolabelshouldbepastedandnomarkshouldbewrittenonthesurface. Ifitisrequired,thehandwritingshouldbeneatandthelabelsshouldbe pastedtidily. 9. The label should mark out the equipment name (number) and the interface position as detailed as possible, such as Equipment name (number)InterfaceNo.Itisprohibitedtousesimplenumberstomark thelabels. 10. Thelabelsshallbepastedinthesamedirection,withthesideindicating the cable directions upward or facing the maintenance and operation planesfortheconvenienceofreading.

8.3Others
1. Alltheinstallationtoolsshallmeettheantistaticrequirements. 2. The board unpacking and plugging/unplugging shall meet the antistatic operationalrequirements. 3. Tofacilitatesubsequentexpansions,signalcablesthataredeliveredfor expansionsshallbebondorplacedinthetobeexpandedcabinet. 4. Protectivemeasuresshallbetakenfortheidleplugs.Forexample,the protectivecapscanbeused. 5. The equipment room and equipment area shall be clean and tidy. The useless packing boxes shall be removed. And the spare parts shall be placedinorderinasecurelocation. 6. Thespecificationofthefuseshallcomplywiththenominalcapacity.
