He has 36 years of experience after receiving a PhD in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. His experience includes various aspects of petroleum engineering, including EOR, water and gas injection, heavy oil, reservoir simulation, horizontal well technology, water management, deepwater field development, mature fields, and productivity improvement. He was the first Technical Director of Reservoir Description and Engineering for SPE and served on the SPE Board for three years, has been an SPE Distinguished Lecturer, is an SPE Distinguished Member, and has received Reservoir Engineer of the Year Award from SPE in 2005. He has published over 40 articles and three books related to petroleum engineering, mature fields and reservoir management. The participants will receive a textbook on Integrated Reservoir Management as the course material.
