The Costa Blanca is a privilegiated and incomparable place by his singular landscape, the cultural and historical heritage, the gastronomy, their popular celebrations, and what is more the ludic and sports variety. In the city of Villena it will take place in january the 25th, 26th and 27th, the XIII International Orienteering Trophy Costa Blanca, a race which counts towards the World Ranking Event (WRE) and that more than 800 orienteers coming from all over the world will participate in this event. It is a pleasure for me to address a cordial and emotional greeting to everyone that will participate in this event, in which there will have to demonstrate their abilities in orienteering in a natural scenario of particular splendourLa Sierra de Salinas. There are lots of values that this sport teach us, respect to the environment, flora and fauna knowledge and also the use of maps in the forest, as well as maps and paths is one of the cornestones of this type of challenges that orienteering try to transmit, in addition, competing values, environmental and companionship. The turism in rural areas far from the coast, especially for sports, with all the benefits you can achieve, it is one of the most important offer in our region and compatible with the coastal turism. By this reason from the Provincial tourism board Costa Blanca, we are committee to promote activities that contribute to increase the arrival of tourists to our region in order to discover its charms. Finally, I would like to wish luck to competitors who will participate in this event and encourage the citizers and also all the people coming from Alicante to join in the scheduled three days.

When sport and nature walk together, we find the sum that makes grow as a person in our society. When a healthy hobbyas exercise is combined with personal abilities and also with the environment, it makes us improve our beneficts. And this is that Orienteers do in an exemplary way. By all this, it is a pleasure for me to greet the celebration of the International Orienteering Trophy Costa Blanca. As a major of the city of Villena, I share the happiness that this event takes place in our city. The Sierra de Salinas such as a singular variety of flora and fauna that will be the suitable area to do this competition. To make and efford to achieve personal objectives or for a comunity, to keep tenacity, they are factors than you put in order to triumph in this sport and we need to improve in our society, also to superate this hard economical situation that are harmful to our families. Those who love Orienteering can give us enough proves to help us to improve our daily life. When we celebrate in Villena the International Orienteering Trophy Costa Blanca also we are demonstrating our abilities to welcome people. Once the competition is finished you can enjoy this city, our streets, our landscape, our emblematic areas, our gastronomy, a treasure... The Villena Orienteering Clubmake an efford and dedicate oneself to organise this event. I would like to thank you this work and tenacy. The previous work to this event, as the days of competition is quite hard and it is necessary to appreciate it. How important is to have a good organising committee and with partners, with the only purpose you will enjoy our natural environment, where this event is like a bet for an exciting sport. Dear Orienteers: The Villena Orieering Club, with the experience adquired organising competitions in last years and me as a President of this Club, we want to wellcome one more time to Villena, to the first Spanish Orienteering league 2013: XIII International Orienteering Trophy Costa Blanca that it is included in the World Ranking Event (WRE). In a majestic area as it is the Sierra de Salinas, we offer a totally new map, made in September 2012. Still with the remembrance of the CEO 2009, the Villena Orienteering club back to make a commitment of quality for the enjoyment of all competitors. None of this will be possible without the cooperation of all the partners and other volunteers, the town hall of Villena, associations, companies and brands sponsoring. Many thanks to all of them. The city of Villena, once again offers their landscape to practice Orienteering, this time to celebrate de XIII International Orienteering Trophy Costa Blanca and the VII Gran Premi Comunitat Valencianain the area called El Rincn del Moro, located in the wonderful Sierra de Salinas. It is a great pleasure for me to manage the XIII International Orienteering Costa Blanca trophy andVII Gran Premi Comunitat Valenciana, and also to be part of a great team wich is working hard to achieve this event will be a success. From these words I would like to thank everyone for taking part on this competition and I wish you enjoy these days not only in the forest in Sierra de Salinas but also in the city of Villena and sharing a good time with their citizens.

PRESENTATION
In the lands of the Spanish southeast, in the south of Valencia is the little town of Villena which will welcome the first test of Spanish Foot Orienteering League between January 25-27th of 2013. It will also celebrating the Grand Prix of Valencia and Costa Blanca Trophy. Villena is a city steeped in history whose ultimate symbol is its ancient castle of Arab origin. The first primitive core citizen settled at the foot of the fortress. Around it has grown to become the population that is now extended to the surrounding fields. After the Reconquest, illustrious men lineage Manuel, Aragon and Pacheco, were their masters. For many years it constituted the capital of an extensive marquisate influencing national history.

Villena not only forms the border between the regions of Castilla La Mancha and Valencia, is also due to their linguistic boundary stripe Castilian former Kingdom of Aragon. In the urban, severe and graceful temples, centuries-old stones of the old castle, does not contradict the boldness of modern architecture: progress here gives hand and amalgamates with the old traditions.

Services availables in the Finish Area: The organisers will facilitate all participants a tent if it rains and a nursery service. Also, in the finish area it will be toilets and a restaurant that it will be in charge of Cafeteras Melecio.

MICRO-ORIENTEERING
This test will be conducted as a display at the Plaza de Toros de Villena, with the participation of the best eliteorienteers entered in the competition and all who wish to participate in this test. This test will be performed by removing of two: two runners will leave the court converted on area of competition; the runner who first finishes the course without any error will be clasificated to the next round. There will be two groups of runners: one for Spanish and for foreign. For the final of the competition, the best Spanish and the best foreigner will dispute, same case for the third position. The orienteers, who will have accepted to participate, will not enter into the Plaza de Toros court. Also after each round, they will return to the warm-up zone, until their turn in the next round. All runners eliminated after their participation may go to the spectator area. The doors of the Plaza de Toros will be open from 4:30 pm. for all spectators who want to observe this new Micro-orienteering by removing of two.

Officials classes:Men and Women (12, 14, 16, 18, 18/20B, 20, 21, 21B, 35, 35B, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and Elit). Promotion classes:Yellow, Orange y Red.

RULES
For this competition we apply the following rules: Rules of the Spanish OrienteeringLeague on foot 2013. Regulation of the Spanish Orienteering Federation. Regulation of the International Orienteering Federation. Regulations applicable to the organization and participation in World Ranking Event competitions.

TIME SYSTEM CONTROL

The timing control system used in all tests will be SportIdent. Therefore you will need a chip SI or ask rental when you sign up to the event.

All orienteers should have a SI Card to run in all competitions or rent one in the entries process. The SI Card price to rent for two days of competition is 4 euros + 30 euros that it will be returned when give back the SI Card to organisers.

ENTRIES
Registration for federated FEDO and FPO will be made using the form available on the website www.fedo.org. The entries without extra charge will be able between 1st to 13th January 2013. The runners with different license FEDO / FPO or Unlicensed runners must to process it through www.orienteeringonline.net. The entries for these runners will be able from the 15thnovember 2012

TROPHIES
Trophies will be given to the top five finishers in the Elitclasses of Women and Men for the WRE competition. There will be also trophies for the top three finishers in all classes in the Official Spanish foot Orienteering League, as the sum of time competitions for the Long and the Middle distance.

ACCOMMODATIONS
As usual, it will facilitate the use of hard floor, which will be located in the covered pavilion of the secondary school "Hermanos Amors". This pavilion will be opened for all runners who have joined the competititon from 20:00 hours, on Friday the 25th.
