Objective of the Course Project to train students innovative spirit and ability and apply them to real life challenges. to empower students to become leaders within their chosen field.
Course Title UG / PG Teachers Name Academic Year
: Computer Communicatin Networks Course code: 07AUC701 : UG, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, 7th Semester Class Size : 63 : Hemanth Kelagadi. Department: E&C : 2010-11
Process Followed
In the class room Students shall learn the theoritical background of the subject and the lab demonstration will be given to them. The seven layers of this model are clearly brought out for the students by a demonstration with animation videos covering from datapackets, IP, physical layers glancing on how the bandwith of a physical channel is divided to perform various tasks in the transfer of the data.
Procedure: Step-1 Read the message polynomial of m bits. Step-2 Read the generator polynomial of n bits. Step-3 Append n-1 zeros at the LSB of the message polynomial. Step-4 Divide the message polynomial by generator polynomial using modulo 2. Step-5 Add the remainder to the message polynomial by modulo 2 additions. Step-6 Stop.
COMPUTATION OF TRANSMISSION POLYNOMIALS FOR A GIVEN INFORMATION USING STANDARD CRC GENERATOR POLYNOMAIL.
Students have agreed that the lab demonstration of Course project has helped them to understand the concepts. Conduction of Group discussions for several network algorithms helped in clear understanding of the working of the algorithm and the same was practically analysed by programming in the labs using C language. The important challenge of speeding up of the algorithem was understood which will improve the communacation. Concepts of ethernet standards explained practically right from explaination of functions of each wire of ethernet. Differences between straight cables and cross cables and their applications was clearly brought out first by conducting demonstrations and later it was done by the students by creating groups of 4-5 students in each group.
