LIFE OR DEATH? OR LIFE OR LIFE? An oncologist was asked if he had seen a difference between Christian and nonreligious patients who were dying of cancer. The doctor replied that those who took their faith seriously didnt fear death as much as those who had little or no faith. For the Christians it was not a life or death matter, but a life or life situation. The reason, of course, was that Christians saw their physical demise as merely preparation for the next lifeeternal life with the Lord. According to the doctor, most Christian patients came to terms with their condition sooner than other patients did. That acceptance freed them to enjoy family members and close friends during the time that was left. One sick man, facing death, said to his pastor, I am well. I feel blessed and at peace. The cancer is in my body, but it isnt in my soul.

For the next few weeks we will be looking at different board games to teach kids a lesson from the Bible. Just like there are rules for playing each of these games, God has given us specific rules for how we are to live. The lessons are divided into sets of "Games You Should Play" and "Games You Shouldn't Play." Come join us today: 10:30AM upstairs in Kids Church. _______________ CONGRATULATIONS The Childrens Ministry congratulates the following students on their recent graduation from the Kids Church Program: Nytalia Bewley, Madison Johnson, Zayne Mitchell, Dominick Ruth, and R.J. PASTORS JONATHONS WORD OF THE WEEK

How do you recognize a Christian?
A Christian can never be raging with hatred, intent on revenge, grim-faced without mercy or forgiveness. No, a Christian will reveal sincerity through and through, throbbing with compassion and love, quick to smile and laugh, and always checking to make sure the spirit of Christ is in him or her. Christ in us is the hope of glory (Colossian 1; 27).
