Final Major Project

Date

REVISED POSITION STATEMENT AND RATIONALE Upon graduating, I intend to start and run a collaborative practice with Luke OBrien, specialising primarily in brand design for small businesses. To achieve this, the briefs I select within the FMP module must creatively challenge, intrigue, whilst also creating a body of work that best reflects me as a designer. Although brand identity will be the primary focus through the projects I undertake, I intend to explore other disciplines including font design, iconography and publication design to ensure I develop and expand my skill-set. Collaboration within the FMP is essential, especially as me and Luke intend on working together outside of university. However, I have ensured that I collaborate with others inside and outside of the studio on live projects to experience client interaction and working within their restrictions in terms of visual direction and set deadlines.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

As Luke and I intend to start Formula as a collaborative practice, we hope to source several projects we can work on together throughout the coming months. These projects will be housed under one brief of the FMP entitled Formula. These include Creative Networks and the National Rail project whereas the branding for Formula will be a single brief.
