Our range of PFDs a|| boast the|r own performance

Peak UK was formed back |n 1990 when |t`s founder
Pete Ast|es was an up and com|ng s|a|om racer,
fund|ng h|s sport by work|ng |n a |oca| kayak
store. He fe|| ||| and cou|d not tra|n for a
few months, so became bored. As the
products |n the store were bad|y des|gned and s|zed poor|y he dec|ded to try mak|ng
some garments of h|s own. W|th he|p from a sew|ng mach|n|st fr|end they soon made
a prototype jacket and PFD. H|s fe||ow s|a|om racers a|| wanted these jackets
and PFDs, that`s how |t a|| began... Pete borrowed some cash from h|s father,
purchased a sew|ng mach|ne, some fabr|c and foam, then |earned how
to make garments, for the frst few years mak|ng a|most a|| of them
h|mse|f, buy|ng new mach|nes and |earn|ng how to operate them as
he went a|ong. Now more than 20 years |ater Peak UK |s one of
the wor|d`s |ead|ng brands of kayak|ng wear.
