CONSTANT REINFORCEMENT BY EXAMPLE

I pulled into the drive thru lane and ordered a chicken sandwich and a drink, with tax about $5.79. As the line was moving towards the window, I reached for my wallet and found...no wallet! I started scrounging through my car for money, and came up with three dollar bills, four quarters, a dime and two pennies - $4.12. When I got to the window, I said, "I'm so sorry, I don't have my wallet with me. How much would it be with just the sandwich?" The girl replied,

If compassion makes us feel good about ourselves, should companies deploy this tool to be more productive?

Studies have shown us that brain structures in positive emotion can be affected by the environment and thus compassion is a characteristic that can be developed in human beings. Using mirror neurons and other techniques, training employees in compassion has multiple benefits of improved bottom line and happier/ more productive employees.

"That's alright, sir," came the reply. They took my nickel less payment, gave me my sandwich, and then handed over the drink too. I was so shocked by this, I turned and just said,
"God bless you."

Torrential rain was putting a damper on moving my kids from our car into the Chick-fil-A location on Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. However, just as my husband was getting ready to unload the brood of banshees, he noticed two men flanking either side of the car. They were employees, drenched to the bone themselves but holding umbrellas. They greeted our family with politeness and escorted everyone inside with the aid of the umbrellas, even though there was no room for themselves. Thank you SO much!
