Newlands Community Market

Information Sheet
ABOUT US
Newlands Community Market is organised and promoted by Newlands Tamariki Playcentre as a fund-raising event. All proceeds from the stall fees will go directly to the Playcentre to pay for equipment, craft materials, books etc. Newlands Tamariki Playcentre is a parent/whanau run co-operative providing Early Childhood Education for children aged 0 to 5. VENUE
The Community Market will be held at Newlands Community Centre, 9 Batchelor Street, Newlands. It will take up both ground floor rooms and the kitchen and foyer areas. Newlands Community Centre is a modern centre very close to the newly built New World .

COST
$25 per space . Tables are available for free if required. Space/table dimensions are: 730mm x 1800mm.

BOOKING
Spaces can be reserved by emailing: newlandscommunitymarket@gmail.com or calling 027 600 4401. When emailing, please ensure that you include the following details: Full name Contact telephone number (preferably mobile) No of spaces required (tables/racks) If you require a table to be provided Type of merchandise that you sell plus your Facebook page and website links if you have them (we will promote these closer to the date of the event). Date of the craft fair that you wish to book for.

Please note that bookings can only be confirmed on receipt of payment.

PAYMENT
We would be grateful if you could pay your stall fee once your booking request has been accepted. Payment can be made via internet banking or over the counter at any branch of the ASB using the following details: ACCOUNT NAME: Newlands Tamariki Playcentre

ACCOUNT NUMBER: 12-3223-0126798-00 REFERENCE: Your surname/family name, initial and MARKET

STALL TYPES
When organising the fair we will endeavour to provide the greatest range of merchandise possible for our potential customers. For this reason we will limit the number of stalls selling the same merchandise. This is also to ensure that you as a stallholder have the best opportunity to generate sales.

OPEN TIMES AND STALL HOLDER SET-UP


The venue will be available for set-up 30 minutes prior to DOORS OPEN and 30 minutes after DOORS CLOSE for clean-up. Playcentre families from Newlands Tamariki Playcentre will be on hand to assist you with your set-up and clean-up should they be required.

ADVERTISING
All advertising will be organised by Newlands Community Market. This may take the following forms: Newspaper community announcements and articles Publication announcements Radio station announcements Emails local groups and educational establishments Postings on community websites Social media i.e. Facebook Large signs at areas of high traffic i.e. Johnsonville and Newlands roundabouts Flyers sent to local businesses, schools etc Flyers on local buses

HOW YOU CAN HELP


If you belong to Facebook please go and Like our Facebook page. There is an event set-up for each sale that we have a confirmed dates for (4 in total). Select the event that you want. Then invite all of your friends to the event to spread the word and encourage them to do the same. Your can find us by searching Newlands Community Market after you logon to Facebook. Dont worry if you have never heard of Facebook. We will send you the A4 flyer via email. Please print and send or forward via email to your school, church, sports club, gym, work place etc.

DONATIONS
Should you wish to make a donation of a piece of your merchandise it would be gratefully received. Any items that we receive will be put into a raffle at our next fair. Another great fund raiser and great exposure for your company/ items especially if you make sure a business card is included!
