AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLE 3 PARAGRAPH 5, AND ARTICLE 9 PARAGRAPH 8 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE ASIA-PACIFIC TELECOMMUNITY

Article 3, Paragraph 5 Affiliate membership in the Telecommunity shall be open to any provider of telecommunication services to the public within the region and which is nominated for affiliate membership by a Member or Associate Member of the Telecommunity. Any such entity, upon informing the Telecommunity, through the nominating Member or Associate Member, in a communication addressed to the Executive Director or, prior to the appointment of the Executive Director, to the Executive Secretary of ESCAP, of its willingness to uphold this Constitution shall become an Affiliate Member of the Telecommunity with effect from the date of the receipt of such communications. Article 9, Paragraph8 A quorum for a meeting of the Management Committee shall consist of the representatives of a simple majority of the Members of the Telecommunity.
