VEGAPLUS MANUFACTURING SPECIALISATION

Manufacturing of Vegaplus requires special facilities. This grade has very high carbide content and hence special precautions are required during cooling of poured moulds. In order to get optimum combination of hardness and RA, this grade requires multiple stress relieving/tempering cycles which drastically reduces production capacity. Thanks to special slow mould cooling techniques and large tempering capacity available at AIAE - it is possible to produce this material commercially.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WITH GRINDING MEDIA DURING SERVICE

Product Grinding media

Selecting the correct grinding media for a particular application is important to avoid potential problems, such as: High wear rate Deshaping Spalling Breakage

These problems can usually be traced to either quality of balls or peculiar working conditions.
