S2113

THE TANGENT

The conveyor belts of the series ALPHAbelt S2113 are straight running belts, with pitch 12,7 mm. The belts of the series 2113 can function without returning shaft, by installing a wear strip with thickness 6 mm. (min) or a roller with diameter 6 mm. (min). By this way, the distance between two conveyors is reduced to the minimum, cancelling the bridges and the rest transition accessories. Assembling different types of plastic segments, you can create belts with width fromm 20 to 2.000 mm, and unlimited length. They are designed to convey light loads. They are produced of materials suitable for contact with food. They function in environment with temperature from 60 to +105C. The motion transmition is succeded by the plastic sprockets S2113, which can move the belts bidirectionally. TYPE: FLAT TOP.
Modular conveyor belt with pitch 12.7 mm. The surface which contacts with the conveyed product is total closed, flat and shinny. The belt can function without sprockets on the returning shaft. Instead of using a returning shaft, it is possible to install a wear strip made of a strong plastic material, with round edge R3 mm. min (drawing 2). Alternatively it can be installed a roller 6 mm. min (drawing 3). By the two above mentioned ways the distance between two conveyors is minimised, and enables the transition from the one conveyor to the other of very sensitive products (pasta, very small in volume products etc.), without using bridges or other middle adding accessories. On the motion shaft it is obligatory the appropriate installation of sprockets series 2113. The reversal capability of the belt to the contacting surface with the conveyed product is R30 mm. min (drawing 4). Ther connection rod of the segments has diameter 4.6 mm. The sprockets series 2113 can move the belt bidirectionally (drawing 1).

INSTALLATION-MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS: The installation procedure of the conveyor belts ALPHAbelt 2113 is simple and fast. Step 1: Install on the drive shaft and on the idle shaft the appropriate quantity of sprockets ALPHAbelt S2113. The teeth of the sprockets must be in the same straight line (drawing 1). The middle sprocket on the drive shaft and the middle sprocket on the idle shaft, must also be in the same straight line (drawing 2). Lock on the shaft the two middle sprockets (drawing 2). Step 2: You receive each belt in one or more roles. Connect the end of the one role to the beginning of the other. Never connect the end of the one role with the end of the other or the beginning of the one role to the beginning of the other. Insert the connection rod to the hinges of the belt, and cut it 1 cm shorter than the belts width. Using a thermal device, make heads (shorten the diameter) of the two edge holes of the belt, so as to prevent the extraction of the rod from the belt. Step 3: Install the belt on the conveyor and the teeth of the sprockets in the belts insertions. The belt that is under the metallic construction (return), is not obligatory to be stretched (drawing 3), when the idle shaft has sprockets. When, instead of an idle shaft with sprockets, you put a wear strip or a roller, the belt should be stretched with a non mechanical way (stretched manually) (drawing 3 ). Step 4: The belt is ready to function. Attention: the belt should be in the middle (in reference to the width) of the metallic construction and should not be in touch to any of its side points, because this may cause early damage or fracture of the belt. Give motion and watch a whole reverse of the belt, first check the sprockets on the drive shaft and then on the idle shaft, that are in the proper insertions of the belt. If this does not happen, repeat the steps 1 & 3. When you need to uninstall the belt, just remove one or more plastic connection rods, in order to divine the belt in smaller pieces.

INSTALLATION-MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS: The metallic construction on which the belt functions is the main factor that defines its lasting duration. To succeed the longest duration of the belt, place a plastic wear strip between the belt and the metallic construction (drawing 4). To succeed the maximum of the capacity of the belt, is useful to place a roller right after the drive shaft (drawing 5), so as the belt to co-operate with more sprockets teeth. When the belt is going to function with idle shaft with sprockets and in temperature more than 50 Celsius degrees, in order not to contact the floor, due to expansion, must install rollers (drawing 3). The plastic motion sprockets, when installed properly on a square drive shaft, reassure the right motion transmission, without causing side slidings of the belt. The right motion transmission through the plastic sprockets, eliminates the need for use of belts stretchers and side guides. When the sprockets are installed on the shaft and the shaft on the metallic construction, the upper point of the sprockets diameter (accordingly to the teeth of the sprockets), should be in the same line with the upper point of the metallic construction, on which the belt moves (drawing 6). The motion sprockets can move the belt in both directions, under different circumstances. Attention: Once a year, you should check the condition of the connection rod. If a diminution in the diameter occurs in percentage 15% approximately, it should be replaced, because otherwise it will cause problems such as: a. Sliding of the sprockets, b. Disability to extract the connection rod from the belt, c. Early and great damage of the belt, in its contacting points with the sprockets, d. Unreasonable break of the belt, e. Early damage of the sprockets teeth. During the function of the belt, a grease to the connection rod (even with water), will give much longer duration.
