Local Meet n Greet Events for Friday, February 1, 2013

Important Note: Each student that attends must be accompanied by a parent/Learning Coach. Each event includes a list of teachers expected to attend. Other teachers may also be in attendance. Families will be responsible for purchasing their own meals if they choose to do so.

Beaufort Area
11:30am: Chick-Fil-A in Bluffton on Hwy 278 (Contact: Brooke Nyland) High School Teachers attending include Brooke Nyland

Irmo/Columbia Irmo/Columbia Area


11:30am: Columbiana Mall Food Court off of Harbison Blvd. (Contact: Michelle Patterson) High School Teachers attending include Mary Catherine Carroll, Sherrie Murphy, and Michelle Patterson

Spartanburg Area
9:30-11:30am: Brunch and Books at Chick-Fil-A Spartanburg-Hillcrest (1995 East Main Street, Spartanburg 29307) Come dressed as your favorite book character or just bring your favorite book. (Contact April Purser or Tara Bott) High School Teachers attending include Billy Pennington

Kershaw/Sumter Area
9-10am: Breakfast and Books at the Wall Street McDonalds at 521/I-20 in Camden (Contact: Andrea Lauricella) Bring your favorite book to discuss! High School Teachers attending include Andrea Lauricella and Susan Brewer

Florence/Pee Dee Area


11:15am: Magnolia Mall Food Court (there will be an American Flag on the table) At 12pm, we will gather at the Florence Rail Trail entrance for a short walk and litter-gathering event. Bring gloves! (Contact Kay Chambers) High School Teachers attending include Kay Chambers and Fran Howze

Charleston Area (2 Events)


10am-12pm: Northwoods Mall Food Court in North Charleston (Contact: Lisa Staley) High School Teachers in attendance will include: Meredith Covert, Sam Shifflett, Melissa DeWalk, Melissa DAnnunzio, and Lynn Brown 11:30am-1:30pm: La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant on James Island for students taking Spanish with Mrs. Reed. (Contact: Leticia Reed)

Greenwood Area (2 Events)


9:30-10:30am: Meet at Starbucks in Greenwood (Contact Mark Davis) In addition, there is a baseball game at Erskine College that begins at 2pm High School Teachers Attending include Mark Davis and Cindy 10:30am-Noon: Greet, Eat, Serve, and Play at the Greenwood Mall Commons Area (Contact: Kimberly Carter) Bring or buy your own lunch in the food court. Learn about Hearts 4 Kids and make Valentines for the Hearts 4 Kids campaign or for your SCVCS teacher(s). Play board or card games with other families. Walk the mall for exercise Bring a friend!
