Basic Shiatsu Position the client in prone position

Buttocks 17. Apply bilateral compression to the buttocks hold for 5 secs and knead clockwise and counter clockwise 3x 18. Apply pounding and cupping to the buttocks

1. Warm your hand

Back 2. Touch the back of your client (1 hand at the thoracic and one hand at the lumbar area) hold for 1 sec Position the client in tripod position to the back of the client 3. Apply cross stretching on the back hold for 5 sec 4. Apply bilateral stretching to the back 2x(4 points) then apply alternate palm compression upward 5. Apply stretching to the lower extremities hold for 5 sec inward and outward 6. Apply stretching to the hip hyper extended hold for 5 sec 2x then rotate clockwise and counter clockwise 2x repeat to the other side 7. Apply stretching both knees, heel to buttocks 2x hold for 5 sec 8. To the both foot (plantar surface area)apply thumb pressure hold for 5 sec then alternate thumb pressure 5x then to the whole plantar surface. 9. To the both leg and thigh simultaneously apply thumb pressure to the center hold for 3 sec back and forth. Left foot 10. Apply thumb pressure to the plantar region 4 points hold for 3 sec 2x bilateral 11. Position the leg and thigh in a frog position then apply thumb pressure to the lateral side of the foot; leg thigh and buttocks 2x then knead. 12. Back to the original position then apply alternate palm squeezing to the whole leg. 13.Flex the knee apply ankle rotation clockwise and counter clockwise 3x then apply pounding to the plantar surface 3x then stretch towards the buttocks hold for 5 sec. 14. Apply pounding, cupping and pounding 15 Apply jostling. Repeat to the right side 16. Apply cross-stretching hold for 5 sec3x 1. From lumbar to shoulder apply palm alternate compression to the whole back back and forth 2x 2. From lumbar to shoulder apply bilateral thumb pressure hold for 3 sec 3, From lumbar to shoulder apply unilateral thumb left and right hold for 3 sec 2x 4. From lumbar to shoulder apply thumbpressure hold for 3 sec 2x 5. From lumbar to shoulder apply palm alternate compression to the whole back back and forth 2x Shoulder ,nape and head Position the therapist into the head area of the client 1. Apply alternate thumb pressure to the left and right side of the shoulder using both thumb 3x 2, Simultaneously apply thumb pressure to the medial side of the spine from shoulder to lumbar 2x back and forth 3. Alternately apply palm pressing to the whole back from shoulder to lumbar 2x back and forth

4. Apply thumb pressure to the center of the nape hold fpr 5 sec 2x then knead 5. Apply thumb pressure to the center pf the head 2x 6. Apply scalp massage Scapula ,arm and head 7. position the arm of the client to the back (exposed the scapula) then apply thumb kneading to the medial side of the scapula 2x back and forth, then back to the original position then apply alternate thumb pressure to the anterior side of the arm, (upper to lower), then apply alternate thumb pressure to the palmar surface of the hand 2x. Then apply alternate palm pressing from wrist to arm 1x then repeat to the other side of the arm. From back to leg apply cupping, pounding, and quacking 3x Apply rocking Supine (Head) 1. Apply thumb pressure to the center of the head 2sec 2x 2.Lateral press the neck left, press the temporal side of the head hold for 3 sec 2x, then follow the imaginary line to the parietal and temporal side of the head then apply thumb kneading 2x. Then repeat to the other side 3. Interlace the fingers using thumb press the temporal side of the head hold for 3sec 3x 4. Apply scalp massage 5. Apply hair combing 6, Apply finger pressure to the occiput 7, Apply alternate palm gliding to the nape Face 1.Apply thumb pressure to the forehead 2.Apply finger pressure to the side of eye hold 3 sec 2x left and right 3.Apply finger pressure to the cheek hold for 3 sec 2x then knead 4.Pinch the eyebrows hold for 5 sec 2x 5.Warm hand touch the forehead 5 sec 6.Apply palm gliding to the forehead 5 sec 7. Apply fulling to the forehead with kneading to the temple of the head 8. Apply gliding to the forehead 3x Abdomen

1. Apply palm pressure o the abdomen 5sec 2x 2. Apply alternate effleurage to the abdomen follow the pathway of the large intestine Left arm and hand 1. Apply wringing to the whole arm 2. Abduct arm 90 dec apply thumb pressure to the mediaL, center and lateral side of the arm and forearm 3 sec 3. Apply palm squeezing 4. Apply thumb pressure to the palmar 5. Apply finger pressure using thumb and index then knead and pull 6. Apply hand reflex to the palmar and dorsal side of the hand 2x 7. Apply rolling and,wringing,cupping to the whole arm 2x Repeat to the other side Both thigh leg and foot 1. Simultanenously apply alternate palm pressing from foot to thigh back and forth 2. Apply palm squeezing to the whole thigh 2x medial and lateral side 3. Position the thigh in three position, then apply palm pressing to the medial side of the thigh back and forth 2x then apply thumb pressure 2x Back to the original position 1.Apply thumb pressure to the superior, medial and lateral and inferior side of the knee hold for 3 sec 2x then knead and glide back and forth 2.Apply thumb pressure to the dorsal part of the foot hold for 3 sec 2x then knead 2x 3.Apply thumb pressure to the plantar side of the foot hold for 3 sec 2x then knead 2x 4.Apply flicking to the individual finger 1x 5.Apply knee to chest stretching 5 sec 2x and pull hold for 5 sec 6.apply quacking and cupping to the whole leg. Repeat to the other side 7, Apply bilateral knee to chest stretching hold for 5 sec 8.Apply cupping and quacking. 9.Apply pulling 2x.
