Exemplary in terms of convenience and energy efficiency: the advertising agency shown here controls luminaires throughout its building using DIMLITE. Sensors for daylight and presence detection take over much of the work for the 15 employees. Luminaires are dimmed in due proportion around the clock, and luminaires that are rarely needed or frequently overlooked switch on and off automatically.

The basic unit is the same for all design variations. Extension components such as presence detectors, light sensors or scene modules are then ordered separately.

The only tool the electrician needs for installing a DIMLITE lighting control unit is a screwdriver. First of all, the basic unit is installed in the switch cabinet . . .

. . . and then the luminaires are connected. Conventional NYM material can be used for cabling. The outlets are protected against polarity reversal with digital control via DALI or DSI.

Light sensor The sensor monitors incident daylight and uses these data to perfectly supplement daylight with artificial light.

Integrated within a DIMLITE lighting control system, the many little helpers prove to be exceedingly useful. The lighting solution benefits both in terms of convenience and efficiency.

CIRCLE control point With three scene keys and two rocker dim switches, the innovative control point takes on all of the elementary functions of a sophisticated control panel, replacing several controllers and momentary-action switches in the room.

Standard momentary-action switch Standard momentary-action switches can be used within DIMLITE systems for dimming, for ON/OFF switching or for calling up lighting scenes.

Scene / group module This input module manages four lighting scenes that can be called up via simple keys. The device also functions as a group module for the dimming of individual groups.

Ergonomic and convenient Glare-free, reflection-free light for computer work was precisely set during installation and can now be called up at random. Lighting scenes have also been set for informative chats with colleagues or for the examination of printed media.

Single, group or whole-class teaching? DIMLITE keeps typical lighting scenes for teaching ready at the press of a button. For this purpose, the luminaires were divided into four groups. Each group is dimmable via DALI. Daylight-based control and presence detectors dim and automatically switch off the light as soon as it is no longer required.

Teamwork or computer work? Task luminaires were divided into two groups to achieve a higher level of individuality and to focus the light. The three most frequently used lighting scenes can be called up by both the CIRCLE control points and the infrared remote control unit. Daylight-based control of artificial lighting automatically saves energy.

Large bays with fluctuating numbers of employees? Luminaires are combined into two groups (or more where required) according to the various production areas of the hall. Only one momentary-action switch is therefore needed for switching or dimming all luminaires within one group. Two presence detectors ensure that the presence of workers is correctly monitored. DIMLITE operates at zero load, meaning that switched-off luminaires are separated from the mains supply and do not need power for standby.

No need to hunt for a switch to switch on, and no more forgetting to switch off! DIMLITE guides employees and customers conveniently along corridors and up and down stairwells by controlling luminaires zone for zone according to needs, thus saving energy. In the times between, DIMLITE reduces energy consumption by reducing maintained light, without compromising peoples feeling of safety.
