Intervenor-Defendant the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group of the U.S.

17 House of Representatives (House) respectfully submits this response to the 18 purported Notice of Supplemental Authority (Notice) filed by Plaintiffs on 19 January 28, 2013. (ECF No. 78). Plaintiffs filed their Notice to inform the court 20 of a brief submitted by a court-appointed Amica Curiae regarding certain 21 jurisdictional questions raised by the Supreme Court in United States v. Windsor, 22 No. 12-307 (U.S. 2013). In other words, the authority to which Plaintiffs direct 23 this Court is an advocacy piece addressing one side of each of the questions posed 24 by the Supreme Court.1 It is not a court order or other authority on which this 25
