The UN affiliated OIPA chapter in India received following complaint on December 17, 2012 of animal abuse in the election process of Singh Sabha in Indore, matter was taken up with the all enforcement agencies but no one comes forward to impliment the animal welfare laws. This is to be brought into your notice that GURU SINGH SABHA election process is going on in INDORE and there are 2 (two) panels (KHALSA AND KHANDA ) contesting for elections. In this election KHANDA PANEL has elected HORSE as their election symbol. For election campaigning they are using several horses with them throughout day and night and HORSES have been kept standing hungry and thirsty for several hours. Since the beginning of this election. This panel is doing injustice with HORSES. This is very inhuman , unmerciful , cruelty towards animals. They are violating animal protection act 1960 section 11 (1) (a)(h)(i) . I have pointed this mistake so many times to GURU SINGH SABHA election commissioner but he seems to be helpless in this matter. This is a kind request to you that please take the strict steps against this and get there election symbol cancelled or changed with immediate effects as the local authorities are under the impression of KHANDA PANEL. I am attaching some photographs for the proof which clearly shows the situation.

Naresh Kadyan, founder chairman of PFA Haryana www.pfaharyana.in / Representative of OIPA in India www.oipa.org moved complaint before the AWBI and Election Commission of India of the same day, where as AWBI in deep sleep but the Election Commission of India refused to take any action being an this issue was outside of the purview of ECI. Now it is our duty to think on these issues to STOP animal abuse for pride, personnel gain, profit, abuse as political tool and election symbol.
