004.Lecture on Motivation (08-08-2012) The Principal Dr.C.manjulatha spoke to the students of the on Motivation. She began her lecture by stressing the importance of motivation and good setting. Motivation can be of Two types: Intrinsic and extrinsic. Elaborating on these two types of motivation, she believed that motivated students , can set and achieve their goals more easily than those without any motivation.

010.Telugu Bhashotsavam(29-08-2012)
The Telugu Bhashotsavamcelebrations were started with tremendous fanfare. The chief speaker for the day Ms. P.V. Umasasi , Reader in Telugu and Head Dept of Telugu GDC, Khairatabad spoke on the importance and greatness of the Telugu language and literature. Dr. T.patanjali , Lecturer in Telugu conducted the proceedings with a rare aplomb. The staff and students of the college expressed their happiness on being exposed to such educational and informative talks.

013.Teachers day celebrations.(05-9-2012) Teachers day celebration was held at Patancheru Government Degree college on 05th Sept. 2012. On this occasion Sri Dharacharya ,Lecturer in chemistry was honoured. The Principal Dr.C.Manjulatha spoke about the importance of teachers in grooming the students to become good citizens. She emphasized the importance of the teachers in student life. Lecturers and 100 students were present on this occassion.

16.Extension lecture programme on 'STRESS MANAGEMENT'(13-09-2012) Patancheru GDC in the aegis of MAKRO FOUNDATION organized Extension lecture programme on 'STRESS MANAGEMENT' by sri Dr.C.Venkata Subbaiah,Govt .IMH , Erragadda on 13-09-2012.. Dr.C.Manjulatha,Principal presided over the meeting .The Speaker Dr.C.Venkata Subbaiah advised several stress management tips to students as one of the following:"Its important to give yourself plenty of time to work on your studies if you want to do well, and you can save yourself a lot of stress if you plan ahead with good time management skills. Setting up a schedule for study, breaking up your studies into smaller chunks, and other time management skills are essential" Lecturers and students participated in this programme with interest.

18. Field Trip Report(22-09-2012). Students and staff of GDC patancheru visited fish farm, Medchal ,on 22-092012.They saw number of ornamental fishes and observed fish hatcheries and aquarium under their guidance. This visit is very significant because , is not only enhanced the students knowledge but also acquainted them with employment options in fisheries.

GDC Patancheru celebrates National Education Day Report The birth anniversary of the first Union Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is celebrated as National Education Day, in GDC patancheru campus on 10-11-2012 . (Second Saturday). Participating in the National Education Day celebrations, the principal Dr.C.Manjulatha said that progress of a country depended on its literacy rate. Governments across the world were focused on improving the literacy rate in their respective countries, she said. she urged students to work hard and bring laurels to their motherland. Praising the services of the Abul Kalam to the nation, she said the leader played a pivotal role in setting up University Grants Commission (UGC) and IITs. Dr.C.Manjulatha , Principal has said that education is the key for development in any country. Strengthening the greatness of Degree college , she said the GDC Patancheru was making all efforts to fulfill the dreams of the intellectuals and offer quality education for the poor and middle class youth in Patancheru. She appealed to the students to inculcate the habit of questioning nature which will enhance knowledge. Dr.T.patanjali . Telugu lecturer advised the students to learn human values along with regular academic education. He stressed the need for promotion of higher education, particularly among women, in the country. Smt.Praveena , English Lecturer appealed to the students to respect the uneducated and explain them on the need to educate. She advised the students to set goals to get elevated into greater positions in their lives. All Staff and students participated in the celebrations. ---------
