ACTUARIAL & RISK MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE 2012 NATIONAL LEVEL PAPER PRESENTATION
Mount Carmel Institute of Management (MCIM), established in 1987, is an autonomous Institute, approved by the AICTE. It is ranked amongst the top B-Schools of India. MCIM is one of the few B-Schools in India which provides Post Graduate Diploma in Actuarial and Risk Management to educate Women in the field of management in order to face the challenges of the corporate world.

MCIM presents OJAS, Actuarial & Risk Management Conference. We cordially welcome Academicians, Research Scholars, Corporate Delegates and Students to attend the event. We invite B-School students for the National Level paper presentation competition across on the theme: Meeting the challenges of change. The focus areas can be as follows: Banking Insurance(life & non life insurance) Pension and Retirement Benefits Enterprise Risk Management Forecasting & Quantitative Modeling Catastrophic Events, etc. RULES OF COMPETITION: Two members per team. Competition will be held in two rounds which involve sending of 2 hard copies of paper, one soft copy of paper and presentation through CD and the final presentation on the day of competition. The word limit for paper should not exceed 1000 words (excluding abstract & please include an abstract of not more than 200 words). PowerPoint presentation maximum of 20 slides. Soft copy of the original research paper with an abstract and presentation is invited to reach on or before 15th October 2012 through e-mail armmcim2012@gmail.com Registration fee of Rs.500/- per participant(Rs 1000 per team). Registration fee should only be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of SECRETARY,MOUNT CARMEL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, payable at Bangalore. 2hard copies +CD+Demand Draft should reach on or before 15th October 2012. The final round should be held on 3rd November 2012 at MCIM Auditorium, BANGALORE. All registered participants are needed to be present on the day of finals. NO PRIOR INVITATION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FINALISTS. Top 5 finalists will be announced on the spot on 3rd November 2012. Each team must be present on the day of competition. The finalists announced on the spot will have to present their ppt mailed across earlier. Strictly no changes will be entertained on the day of presentation. Presentation must be no longer than 15 minutes followed by a 5 minutes Q&A session. Presentation may be accompanied by visual aids.

RULES FOR FINALISTS: Final Date for presentation: 3rd November 2012 Time : 8:30 am-12:30 pm Venue : MCIM Auditorium All the participants during the event will be given a participation certificate. Lunch will be provided. Accommodation for outstation candidates and travel expenses will not be provided. Participants who desire accommodation should contact the Conference Coordinator for assistance.
