CONGRATULATIONS! Cadet Promotions Dec 2011: C/1LT Anna Boop C/A1C Spencer French

Hello 2012!
As 2012 opens, I would like to take a few moments to thank all cadets and seniors for their participation and contribution to Squadron 47s successes in 2011. Our squadron was filled with so many achievements, such as bringing home the National Cadet Competition Color Guard trophy again, and the first BCS on Pendleton. I am especially proud of the new seniors who have picked up the energy and have taken the squadron on a whole new adventure. With our continued tradition of excellence, we will continue to train and provide a quality leadership program for not only the cadets but also for the seniors. I would venture to say 2012 will bring an increase of squadron sponsored activities such as another BCS, ATS, NAV training ES training and rocketry, robotics, and remote control flying. Lets not forget the outstanding job our senior staff has done to provide our cadets with Orientation rides. I think we should look into watching some practice night fire on base by the active duty Marines. That would be educational and quite cool. With your continued participation and help during our events, we will continue to lead California and the Region in 2012. As Deputy Commander for Cadets I've witnessed the growth of basic cadets and senior cadets that to this day still amaze me at what they are capable of doing. We will see more public speaking and presentations from our cadets in 2012 and a renewed effort to continually raise the bar of excellence in all we do. I would like to thank D13 for my new position and all of the challenges it brings, and to the rest of the seniors for supporting me in my new role. 2012 will start off with a bang with our planned events of a garage sale with all donations going to the squadron. Again, thank you very much, and Happy New Year!
By Captain Dave MacGregor, CAP, Contributing Writer Deputy Commander for Cadets Skyhawk Composite Squadron 47 (CA324)

Please make all checks out to Civil Air Patrol CAWG. They will not be accepted if checks are written out to CAP. Please spell it out in its entirety. Thank you!
