THE COLUMBUS CLUBHOUSE After School Clubs Winter/Spring 2013 Program

The Columbus School Enrichment Committee is pleased to announce a wonderful selection of Winter/Spring After School Clubs! To join an After School Club, please complete the registration form on the last page of this letter. Payment in full must be included with the form. If you would like to enroll your child in more than one club, please fill out a separate form for each club (extra copies available at the schools office). Please return form and payment to the Columbus School Enrichment Committee by Monday, February 4, 2013 by dropping it off at the Main Office or sending it to school in your childs folder. Please pay by cash or check (payable to the Columbus School PTO).

**Important Dates** Forms due Wednesday, February 6, 2013 Clubs start after February vacation.

IMPORTANT: Please submit a separate check for each club your child is requesting (One check, per child, per club). This will make it easier to return checks in the case of over or under enrollment. Once enrolled in a club, NO refunds will be allowed. For financial assistance, please contact the principal, Ms. Kay (781-393-2177 ext. 3506) before registration. PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED. In return for your time and effort, the club you volunteer for will be free for your child. Please contact April Watkins-Doeg (watkinsdoeg@gmail.com, 781-395-3196), our volunteer coordinator, if you are interested in volunteering. Clubs without parent volunteers may not be run. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Students are dismissed directly to their Clubs and a snack is provided. To reduce waste, students should bring their own water bottle for the snack time before clubs.

Pick-up after clubs: Parents/guardians must make arrangements for their child to be picked up immediately after the program. There is no bus service available. If parents are late in picking up twice, the child will not be allowed to continue in the club. Because the school doors must remain locked at all times, parents must wait outside the school by the front door to pick up their child at the end of all clubs. The club leader will walk the children to this door where parents are asked to wait outside for their child to be delivered to them. Thank you for your understanding in keeping all the students present at the Columbus safe after school hours. Student behavior: We want every childs experience in the after school clubs to be fun and positive. Disruptive behavior takes up the club leaders time and attention, and takes away from everyone elses experience. Children are expected to show respect for fellow students, club leaders, and volunteers. If a discipline issue arises, parents/guardians will be called and the child will not be allowed to continue. If there is no improvement, the child may be asked to leave the club without a refund. In an effort to reduce the amount of paper that we use, we encourage you to provide an email address for confirmation and communication about the After School Clubs. Please contact April Watkins-Doeg (watkinsdoeg@gmail.com, 781-395-3196) if you have questions.
