The Most Unique

Prophet of All:
Prophet Mohammud
(SAW)

2

All praises are for Allah
SWT
who created human beings and also arranged for
their complete guidance, through different Prophets in different times.

(
You are only a warner, and for every people is a guide (Surah 13 Ayah 7)

( : 42 )
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and
a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a
warner. (Surah 35 Ayah 24)

3

All the Prophets were also human beings who received revelations through
the angels from Allah
SWT
.

...
( : 906 )
And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We
revealed from among the people of cities (Surah 12 Ayah 109)

KEY
1. SWT---Pure, Flawless, Full of Glory.
2. SAW--- May Allah
SWT
sends His Blessings and Mercy upon Him
3. AS--- May Allahs Mercy be upon Him

The responsibility of the Prophets was to convey the message (revelations)
to the people, to teach and help, as to how to obey and practice the Divine
Revelations. All the Prophets taught the same basic belief i.e. to believe in
the Oneness of Allah
SWT
(God), to worship Him and be obedient to Allah
SWT

alone.
4

And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to
him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."
(Surah 21 Ayah 25)

...
( : 63 )
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship
Allah and avoid Taghut." (Surah16 Ayah36)

A Muslim should believe in all the prophets and all the revelations the
prophets received. Apart from that, a Muslim should believe that all the
prophets are equal, and should not compare and consider one prophet as
higher or superior than the other.

...
( : 452 )
We make no distinction between any of His messengers.
(Surah 2 Ayah 285)
5

Since the creation of humanity, Allah
SWT
has appointed several prophets
among the people, in different parts of the world. Some of them are
mentioned by name in the Holy Quran, most of them are not.

( : 932 )
And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to
you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you.
And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech.
(Surah 4 Ayah 164)

... ( : 45 )

6

And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are
those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those
[whose stories] We have not related to you
(Surah 40 Ayah 78)

There are four famous books revealed to different prophets, whose names
are mentioned in the Holy Quran.

1. Zaboor revealed to Prophet David
AS
(Dawood
AS
)
2. Torah revealed to Prophet Moses
AS
(Moosa
AS
)
3. Injeel (Bible) revealed to Prophet Jesus
AS
(Eesa
AS
)
4. Quran revealed to the last Prophet Mohammud
SAW

All the above books (except the last book, the Holy Quran) have been lost
and are now in the form of changed books. None of them can be
considered as Divine Revelation any more. But the last revelation, the Holy
Quran is still in the same, complete and original form as it was revealed, to
the last prophet

of Islam, the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
fourteen hundred
years ago.

7

( : 6 )
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its
guardian. (Surah 15 Ayah 9)

The main reason of the preservation of this Book is that Allah
SWT
Himself
wanted it to be in its original form. All the previous books were revealed for
a particular nation and for a particular period. The Holy Quran was not
revealed for any particular nation such as Arabs or non-Arabs nor was it
revealed for a particular time or period. The Holy Quran was revealed for
the whole humanity, i.e. for the people who live during prophets time as
well as those who will come after His death, till the Day of Judgment.

( : 9 )
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may
be to the worlds a warner (Surah 25 Ayah 1)

( : 6 .)
And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the
Exalted in Might, the Wise. (Surah 62 Ayah 3)

8

The Prophet Mohammud
SAW
was the last prophet and no other prophet or
revelation is to come. The preservation of the Holy Quran in its original
form, after the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, was extremely essential for the
guidance of the rest of the humanity.
Apart from that, the life of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
(who is the true
follower of the Holy Quran) is also well preserved, in writing, in the most
authentic books called, Bukhari and Muslim. InshaAllah, I will explain
this later on.
Before I write about the life of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, I would like to
inform you about a few famous prophets that the Holy Quran speaks about.

(1) ADAM
AS

Allah
SWT
has created Adam
AS
as the first human being who came to this
world without a father or mother. The rest of humanity is His
AS
offspring.
Adam
AS
himself was created with clay.

( : 94 )
And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.
(Surah 23 Ayah 12)

9

Adams
AS
wife Eve
AS
was created from His
AS
rib. He is considered the father
of humanity. Allah
SWT
call us the children of Adam
AS
.

( : 62 .)
O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you
relating to you My verses, then whoever fears Allah and reforms - there
will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
(Surah 7 Ayah 35)

... ( : 9 )
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created
from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and
women (Surah 4 Ayah 1)

Apart from that Allah
SWT
has appointed Adam
AS
as the first Khalifatullah
(Vice-regent/Representative) of Allah
SWT
as well as the first prophet of Islam
on earth.
10

... ( : 60 )
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels,
"Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority
(Surah 2 Ayah 30)

A surprising incident for Adam
AS
, after He
AS
was created and Allah
SWT
blew
HIS
SWT
soul in Him
AS
, was that Allah
SWT
ordered all the angels to prostrate to
Him
AS.

. . _. , _. .> _-> `> l _..l .., :.: ,l !. _`:
_
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul
and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.

(Surah 32 Ayah 9)

... ( : 62 )
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so
they prostrated (Surah 2 Ayah 34)

11

Allah
SWT
asked Adam
AS
and His wife (Eve
AS
) to live in heaven and eat
whatever they liked, but warned them not to go close to a particular tree
otherwise they will be among the disobedient.

( : 62 )
And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat
therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not
approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."] (Surah 2 Ayah
35)

But the devil succeeded, by deceiving and convincing them to disobey
Allah
SWT
. Then Allah
SWT
removed them from the comfortable place they
were in.

... ( : 63 )
But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that
[condition] in which they had been (Surah 2 Ayah 36)

Adam
AS
and Eve did not know how to ask for forgiveness, for the mistake. So
Allah
SWT
taught them the following

dua.
12

( : 46 .)
They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not
forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the
losers."(Surah 7 Ayah 23)

Allah
SWT
forgave both of them, because He
SWT
is Most Forgiving and
Merciful.

( : 64 )
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his
repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the
Merciful.
(Surah 2 Ayah 37)

(This makes it very clear that the misunderstood and wrong belief of
original sin committed by Eve, is transferred to and carried out by the rest
of the humanity, is nothing but a misguided belief without foundation. As
a matter of fact, Adam
AS
and Eve
AS
both committed the mistake. Allah
SWT

has already forgiven the sins of both Adam
AS
and Eve
AS
. So there was no
sin to be transferred to or carried out by anyone.)

13

After the forgiveness of both Adam and Eve
AS
, ALLAH
SWT
asked both of them
to go down, live on earth and believe in HIM
SWT
as the only One Creator of
the universe, and obey and worship HIM
SWT
alone. This was the main
purpose of the creation of humanity.

( : 23 ) .
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me
(Surah 51 Ayah 56)
!.l L,> !.. !-,.- !.| >..!, _.. _.> _. _,. _.> .> ,l. > .>
__
We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you
from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning
them, nor will they grieve.

They were also told that if they receive any guidance from HIM
SWT
, and if they
followed it, then they will not have any fear or worry in their lives.

(2) NOAH
as
(NOOH
as
)
14

After Adam
AS
, Allah
SWT
appointed Noah
AS
as HIS
SWT
prophet on this earth.
Unlike any other prophet, Noah
AS
was granted the age of more than 950
years.

( : 92 .)
And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them
a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they
were wrongdoers. (Surah 29 Ayah 14)

He
AS
spent His
AS
whole life preaching the truth but unfortunately very few
people accepted His
AS
message. His
AS
own wife and son did not believe in
His

prophet hood.

After struggling so many years preaching Islam, Noah
AS
was very upset, so
He made a special dua to Allah
SWT
asking for the destruction of all the non-
believers.

15

:26)

:27)
And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the
disbelievers an inhabitant. (Surah 71 Ayah 26)
Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget
except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever. (Surah 71 Ayah
27)

Allah
SWT
accepted His
AS
dua and asked Him
AS
to build an ark to save Him
AS
and the handful of His
AS
followers, He
AS
had, from the flood which was going
to approach soon.

( : 63 .)

( : 64 )
16

And it was revealed to Noah that, "No one will believe from your people
except those who have already believed, so do not be distressed by what
they have been doing (Surah 11 Ayah 36)

And construct the ship under Our observation and Our inspiration and
do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they
are [to be] drowned."(Surah 11 ayah 37)

Allah
SWT
then asked Noah
AS
to aboard the ark along with all of His
AS
followers. The torment came in the form of a flood. Water spread all over
and rose as high as the mountains. Eventually everyone (except the people
of the ark) were drowned and immediately faced the fire.

( : 42 .)
Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they
found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers. (Surah 71, Ayah
25)

17

( : 32 )
But they denied him, so We saved him and those who were with him in
the ship. And We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they
were a blind people. (Surah 7 Ayah 64)

( : 46 .)
And they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship
and made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our
signs. Then see how was the end of those who were warned (Surah 10
Ayah 73)

The details are in the following Ayahs of the Holy Quran:

( : 63 )

( : 64 )
18

( : 65 )

( : 66 )

( : 20 )

( : 29 )

( : 24 )

( : 26 )

( : 22 )

( :
22 )
19

( : 23 )

( : 24 )

( : 25 )
And it was revealed to Noah that, "No one will believe from your people
except those who have already believed, so do not be distressed by what
they have been doing.
And construct the ship under Our observation and Our inspiration and
do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they
are [to be] drowned."
And he constructed the ship, and whenever an assembly of the eminent
of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, "If you ridicule
us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule.
And you are going to know who will get a punishment that will disgrace
him [on earth] and upon whom will descend an enduring punishment [in
the Hereafter]."
[So it was], until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We
said, "Load upon the ship of each [creature] two mates and your family,
20

except those about whom the word has preceded, and [include] whoever
has believed." But none had believed with him, except a few.
And [Noah] said, "Embark therein; in the name of Allah is its course and
its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."
And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called
to his son who was apart [from them], "O my son, come aboard with us
and be not with the disbelievers."

[But] he said, "I will take refuge on a mountain to protect me from the
water." [Noah] said, "There is no protector today from the decree of Allah
, except for whom He gives mercy." And the waves came between them,
and he was among the drowned.
And it was said, "O earth, swallow your water, and O sky, withhold [your
rain]." And the water subsided, and the matter was accomplished, and
the ship came to rest on the [mountain of] Judiyy. And it was said, "Away
with the wrongdoing people."
And Noah called to his Lord and said, "My Lord, indeed my son is of my
family; and indeed, Your promise is true; and You are the most just of
judges!"
He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one
whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about
which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among
the ignorant."
[Noah] said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I
have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon
me, I will be among the losers."
It was said, "O Noah, disembark in security from Us and blessings upon
you and upon nations [descending] from those with you. But other
21

nations [of them] We will grant enjoyment; then there will touch them
from Us a painful punishment."
(Surah 11 Ayah 36-48)

This unique torment in the form of a flood is a historical event in the history
of humanity.
Allah
SWT
says in the Holy Quran that He
SWT
will make this torment as a sign
and lesson for humanity.

( : 92 .)
But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a
sign for the worlds. (Surah 29 Ayah 15)

( : 99 )

( : 94 )
Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the
sailing ship
That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear
would be conscious of it. (Surah 69 Ayah 11- 12).

22

Allah
SWT
rose the next generation of humanity, from those few believers
who were saved in the boat from that flood.

( : 29 )
And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.
(Surah 36 Ayah 41)

( : 44 .)

( : 45 )
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations
(Surah 37 Ayah 77-78)
------------------------------------

(3 ) ABRAHAM
AS
(IBRAHEEM
AS
).

Prophet Abraham
AS
was a unique prophet who was granted a position at a
very high standard in prophet hood by Allah
SWT
Allah
SWT
mentions in several places in the Holy Quran that Abraham
AS
was
not a polytheist.

23

( :
962 )

They say, "Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided." Say, "Rather,
[we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was
not of the polytheists." (Surah 2 Ayah 135)

( : 62 .)

Say, Allah has told the truth. So follow the religion of Abraham,
inclining toward truth; and he was not of the polytheists." (Surah 3 Ayah
95)

(
: 34 .)

Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining
toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the
polytheists.
(Surah 3 Ayah 67)

24

He
AS
passed many difficult tests in His
AS
life which pleased Allah
SWT
so much
that HE
SWT
declared Him
AS
the Imam (Leader) of mankind.

...
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with
commands and he fulfilled them. [ Allah ] said, "Indeed, I will make you a
leader for the people (Surah 2 Ayah 124)
One example of the many tests Abraham
AS
went through was when He
AS

was asked by Allah
SWT
to leave His
AS
wife Hajirah
AS
and His
AS
small child
Ismaeel
AS
in the desert, where there was no one to look after them. There
was no arrangement of food or water to drink. Abraham
AS
left them with a
small amount of food and water which was hardly enough for two days.
This obedient servant of Allah
SWT
(having His
AS
full trust on His
AS
Creator and
by obeying HIM
SWT
) left His
AS
family alone in the desert. Alhamdulillah His
AS

wife Hajirah
AS
who was also a pious lady, asked Him
AS
, while He
AS
was
leaving, "Where are you going, Abraham, leaving us in this barren valley?
Abraham
AS
did not answer her, but continued walking. She repeated what
she said, but He
AS
remained silent. Finally, she realized that Allah
SWT
had
commanded him to do this. So she asked Him: "Did Allah
SWT
command you
to do so?" He replied: "Yes." Then Hajirah
AS
said: "We are not going to be
lost, since Allah
SWT
, WHO
SWT
has commanded you, is with us."
When the small supply of food and water ran out Hajirah
AS
searched for
water by running between the two mountains called Safa and Marwa
seven times, finally with the grace of Allah
SWT
she found water.

25

This search of water by Hajirah
AS
was a historical event and has become a
religious obligation for the millions and millions of Muslims throughout the
world forever .This story carries a legacy for the rest of the Muslim world till
the Day of Judgment.

( : 925 .)

Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah . So
whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame
upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good -
then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing. (Surah 2 Ayah 158)

Thus millions and millions of Muslims throughout the world (no matter
where they come from) must imitate Hajirahs
AS
search of water by going
back and forth seven times, between the same two mountains Safa and
Marwa, whenever they perform the Hajj (the fifth obligation of Islam ) or
Umrah, this will continue till the Day of Judgment.

Another great test for Abraham
AS
was in His
AS
old age. Allah
SWT
ordered
Him
AS
in his dream to sacrifice His only young son Ismaeel
AS
(A dream of a
prophet is considered a revelation from Allah
SWT
). Abraham
AS
told His
AS

beloved son that He
AS
saw him

sacrificing Him
AS
in His
AS
dream. Imagine how
He
AS
must have felt!
Ismaeel
AS
His
AS
beloved and pious son replied wholeheartedly, "O my father,
do as you are commanded. You will find me, inshAllah, of the steadfast."
26

When both obedient servants of Allah
SWT
agreed and the father

was about
to sacrifice His
AS
beloved son then Allah
SWT
called Oh Abraham you have
proved the dream to be true. Thus the life of a young son was saved.

Then Allah
SWT
gave Him
AS
an animal to sacrifice as a grand gift in place of
His
AS
beloved son. This sacrifice is a unique story in the history of humanity.
Allah
SWT
says that surely it was a great test, and the praise which it deserves
is left for the future generations, which became the symbol of obedience to
Allah
SWT
by a wonderful father

Abraham
AS
and His
AS
pious son Ismaeel
AS
.
.

( : 904 )

( : 906 )

( : 902 )

( : 902 )

( : 903 )

( : 904 )

( : 905 )

( : 906 )
27

( : 990 )

( : 999 )
And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son,
indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you
think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find
me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast. And when they had both submitted
and he put him down upon his forehead, We called to him, "O Abraham,
You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Indeed, this was the clear trial. And We ransomed him with a great
sacrifice, And We left for him [favorable mention] among later
generations: "Peace upon Abraham." Indeed, We thus reward the doers
of good. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
(Surah 37 Ayah 102-111)

This was not the end. Millions and millions of the followers of the Prophet
Abraham
AS
remember this historical sacrifice in the form of an obligatory
ritual. This ritual is one of the five pillars of Islam called the Hajj, which is
performed every year, by those who can afford it, at least once in their life
time. All the pilgrims performing Hajj, who come from every corner of the
globe, must sacrifice an animal during the Hajj as a remembrance of the
hard test which our grandfather went through. This ritual is a symbol of this
unique sacrifice which was performed by Abraham
AS
in the obedience of
His
AS
Creator.

Muslims who do not come for the Hajj obligation that year, also sacrifice an
animal during those same days of pilgrimage. Their sacrifice is carried out at
their homes (nearby farms) and they celebrate Eid on the same day as the
28

pilgrims. In short this celebration of sacrifice will be enjoyed by every
Muslim throughout the world every year till the Day of Judgment,
InshaAllah.

As it was mentioned earlier, Abraham
AS
was very much in favor of
monotheism, He
AS
had several arguments with different people including
His
AS
own father who was an idol worshiper.

( : 42 )

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do
you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in
manifest error."
(Surah 6 Ayah 74)

( : 29 )

( : 24 )

( : 26 )

( : 22 )

( : 22 )

( : 23 )
29

And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgment before, and
We were of him well-Knowing When he said to his father and his people,
"What are these statues to which you are devoted? They said, "We
found our fathers worshippers of them. He said, "You were certainly,
you and your fathers, in manifest error. They said, "Have you come to
us with truth, or are you of those who jest? He said, "[No], rather, your
Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to
that, am of those who testify. (Surah 21 Ayah 51-56)

He
AS
was a strong daee (preacher) who argued against idol worshipping,
even with King Namrood, of His
AS
own country (Iraq).

( : 425 )
Have you not considered the one who argued with Abraham about his
Lord [merely] because Allah had given him kingship? When Abraham
said, "My Lord is the one who gives life and causes death," he said, "I
give life and cause death." Abraham said, "Indeed, Allah brings up the
sun from the east, so bring it up from the west." So the disbeliever was
overwhelmed [by astonishment], and Allah does not guide the
wrongdoing people. (Surah 2 Ayah 258)
The people of his country were so upset and fed up with Him
AS
, they
decided to burn Him
AS
alive. They arranged for a fire and threw Him
AS
into
it, but they were unable to succeed. Allah
SWT
ordered the fire to cool down
30

and be comfortable to Him
AS
. Finally, He
AS
came out of the fire safe and
alive, Alhamdulillah.

( : 24 )

( : 25 )

( : 26 )

( : 30 )

( : 39 )

( : 34 )

( : 36 )

( : 32 )

( : 32 )

( : 33 )

( : 34 )

( : 35 )
31

( : 36 )

( : 40 )

And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols after you have
turned and gone away. So he made them into fragments, except a large
one among them, that they might return to it [and question].They said,
"Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers. They
said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham.
They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may
testify. They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham? He
said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they
should [be able to] speak. So they returned to [blaming] themselves and
said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers. Then they
reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do
not speak! He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which
does not benefit you at all or harm you?Uff to you and to what you
worship instead of Allah . Then will you not use reason? They said,
"Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act. Allah said, "O fire,
be coolness and safety upon Abraham. And they intended for him harm,
but We made them the greatest losers. (Surah 21 Ayah 57 -70)

( : 66 )

And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord;
He will guide me. (Surah 37 Ayah 99)

32

These are the same reasons, along with many others, that Abraham
AS
was a
person whom Allah
SWT
was very pleased. Allah
SWT
declared Him
AS
in the Holy
Quran as:

(1) The Imam (leader) of all humanity:

( : 942 )

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with
commands and he fulfilled them. [ Allah ] said, "Indeed, I will make you a
leader for the people." [Abraham] said, "And of my descendants?" [ Allah
] said, "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers." (Surah 2 Ayah
124)

(2) Apart from that, Allah
SWT
has also granted Him
AS
the wonderful title
Kaleelullah (a friend of Allah
SWT
).

( : 942 .)

33

And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while
being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining
toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend. (Surah 4
Ayah 125)

(3) Abraham
AS
had so many wonderful and high qualities that Allah
SWT

expressed His
AS
personality as an ummah (a nation).

( : 940 )

Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader, devoutly obedient to
Allah, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate
others with Allah. (Surah 16 Ayah 120)

At that time, He
AS
was the only representative of the monotheist religion of
Islam. On the other side there was an entire nation with several leaders of
idol worshipers which were against Him
AS
. This single personality did so
much for Islam that it is compared to the amount of work of an entire
Ummah (nation).

(4) He
AS
was so humble, pious and steadfast on His
AS
belief that Allah
SWT

described Him
AS
as Haneef (unswerving, inclining toward the truth)

34

(
: 34 )
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining
toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the
polytheist
(Surah 3 Ayah 67)

(5) The other two titles granted by Allah
SWT
to Abraham
AS
were Haleem
and Muneeb (forbearing, gentle and [frequently] repenting)

( : 992 .)

And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only
because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent
to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated
himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate and patient.
(Surah 9 Ayah 114)

35

( : 42 .)

Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving and [frequently] returning
[to Allah ].(Surah 11 Ayah 75)

(6) Allah
SWT
also described Abraham
AS
as a person with qalbin saleem
(pure hearted) person.

( : 52 )

When he came to his Lord with a sound heart (Surah 37 Ayah 84)

(7) Like a true slave of Allah
SWT
, He
AS
declared that His
AS
prayer, His
AS

sacrifice, and His
AS
life and death are for Allah
SWT
and Allah
SWT
alone.

( : 934 )
Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are
for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (Surah 6 Ayah 162)

36

(8) Whenever Allah
SWT
asked Him
AS
to do something, He
AS
immediately
obeyed and proved to be a true, obedient servant of Allah
SWT
.

( : 969 )

When his Lord said to him, "Submit", he said "I have submitted [in Islam]
to the Lord of the worlds."(Surah 2 Ayah 131)

(9) When Allah
SWT
decided to rebuild His
SWT
house on this earth, He
SWT

selected Abraham
AS
and His elder son Ismaeel
AS
to build the Kaba.

( :
944 )

( : 945 )

( : 946 )

And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House
and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed
You are the Hearing, the Knowing.
37

Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our
descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our
rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of
repentance, the Merciful.
Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will
recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and
purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Surah 2
Ayah 127- 129)

(10) The place where Abraham
AS
was standing to build the Kaba was given
the name The Place of Ibraheem it was also made as a place of worship.

( : 942 )

And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people
and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place
of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael,
[saying], "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who
are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in
prayer]."(Surah 2 Ayah 125)

Abraham
AS
thanked Allah
SWT
and made a special dua which is the result of
the appointment of our great Prophet MOHAMMUD
SAW
38

( : 946 )
Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will
recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and
purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Surah 2
Ayah 129)

(11) Abraham
AS
is the only Prophet in whose families (children) there were
hundreds of Prophets sent. Starting from His
AS
two sons Ismaeel
AS
and
Ishaq
AS
, prophet hood continued for many generations till the last prophet
of Islam---Prophet Mohammud
SAW
.

( : 52 )
39

( : 52 )

( : 53 )

( : 54 )

( :
55 )

( : 56 )

And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And
Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and
Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward
the doers of good.
And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the
righteous.
And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We
preferred over the worlds.
And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers
- and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.
That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whomever He wills of
His servants. But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless
for them would be whatever they were doing.
40

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and
prophet hood. But if the disbelievers deny it, then We have entrusted it to
a people who are not therein disbelievers
(Surah 6 Ayah 84-89)

(12) Allah
SWT
addressed Abraham
AS
as the father of the prophets.

: 3 )
And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of
narratives and complete His favor upon you and upon the family of
Jacob, as He completed it upon your fathers before, Abraham and Isaac.
Indeed, your Lord is Knowing and Wise." (Surah 12 ayah 6)

The above mentioned points are a few examples of how Abraham
AS
spent
His life dedicated to the pleasure of Allah
SWT,
which no doubt makes Him a
great prophet of Islam.

(4) MOSES
AS
(MUSA
AS
)

Moses is one of the few famous Prophets that The Holy Quran speaks about
in detail. He received the famous Book called Torah which like other
Books (besides The Holy Quran) was lost and changed as time passed.
Moses
AS
is the only Prophet Allah
SWT
spoke to in this world directly, (behind
a curtain).

( :
932 .)
And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to
you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you.
And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech. (Surah 4 Ayah164)

Later on He
AS
was granted the Divine Book Torah whose teachings were
written on Tablets.

42

( : 922 .)
And We wrote for him on the tablets [something] of all things -
instruction and explanation for all things, [saying], "Take them with
determination and order your people to take the best of it. I will show you
the home of the defiantly disobedient."(Surah 7:145)

Once Moses
AS
was traveling with His
AS
family and He
AS
saw a fire, He
AS
told
His
AS
family to wait and He
AS
would go and see if He
AS
could bring a brand of
fire for them to warm themselves, or find some guidance for their travel.
When He
AS
went there He
AS
heard a voice saying "O Moses, Indeed, I am
your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of
Tuwa. And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].Indeed, I
am Allah. There is no deity except ME, so worship ME and establish prayer
for MY remembrance. Indeed, the Hour is coming
Then Allah
SWT
asked Him
AS
What is that in your right hand? He
AS
replied
that it was His
AS
staff and continued His
AS
conversation by explaining the
different uses of the staff.
After that, Allah
SWT
asked Him
AS
to throw the staff on the ground, which He
AS

did. The staff immediately turned into a live snake. Moses
AS
was frightened,
but Allah
SWT
asked Him
AS
to grab it without being afraid. He
AS
grabbed it and
the snake turned back into a staff. This was the first miracle granted to
Moses
AS
from Allah
SWT
.
43

Allah
SWT
then asked Moses
AS
to put His
AS
hand under His
AS
arm. HE
SWT
told
Him
AS
that it will come out shining without any pain. This was the second
miracle which Moses
AS
was given from Allah
SWT
. Then Allah
SWT
asked
Moses
AS
to take those two miracles to Pharaoh and invite him to accept
Islam.
Moses
AS
accepted, but asked Allah
SWT
to remove the weakness of His
AS

speech and send His
AS
brother Aaron
AS
(Haroon
AS
) to help Him. Allah
SWT

granted Him
AS
His
AS
request regarding His
AS
speech as well as His
AS
dua for
Aaron
AS
.

bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." And when he came
to it, he was called, "O Moses, Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your
sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. And I have chosen
you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].Indeed, I am Allah. There is no
deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My
remembrance. Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that
every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. So
do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his
desire, for you [then] would perish. And what is that in your right hand, O
Moses?" He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves
for my sheep and I have therein other uses." [ Allah ] said, "Throw it
down, O Moses." So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake,
46

moving swiftly. [ Allah ] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to
its former condition. And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out
white without disease - another sign, That We may show you [some] of
Our greater signs. Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed."
[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] And
ease for me my task And untie the knot from my tongue That they may
understand my speech. And appoint for me a minister from my family -
Aaron, my brother.Increase through him my strength And let him share
my task That we may exalt You much And remember You much. Indeed,
You are of us ever Seeing." [ Allah ] said, "You have been granted your
request, O Moses.(Surah 20 Ayah 9-36)
They both went to Pharaoh and invited him to accept Islam. Moses
AS
said,
"O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds [Who is]
obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with
clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel."
Pharaoh said "If you have come with a sign, then bring it forth, if you should
be of the truthful." Then Moses
AS
threw His
AS
staff which suddenly turned
into a live snake. He
AS
then pulled His
AS
hand out from under His
AS
arm; it
was shining in front of the crowd. The leaders of Pharaohs people said that
they suspect Moses
AS
is a master magician who wants to throw them out of
their land. Then they suggested calling all the expert magicians of the
country and having an open competition.
In this competition all the magicians presented their magic, by throwing
their sticks and staffs, had snakes running around in the field. Moses
AS

threw His
AS
staff in the field which turned into a real snake and swallowed
all the artificial snakes of the magicians. The magicians were surprised, as
they knew the limits of magic, this led them to believe Moses
AS
is a real
47

prophet. So all the magicians immediately fell into prostration and declared
that they believe in the God that Moses
AS
and Aaron
AS
believe in.

Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his
establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how the end of
the corrupters was. And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from
the Lord of the worlds [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except
the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send
with me the Children of Israel." [Pharaoh] said, "If you have come with a
sign, then bring it forth, if you should be of the truthful." So Moses threw
his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest. And he drew out his
hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. Said the
eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned
magician Who wants to expel you from your land [through magic], so
49

what do you instruct?" They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his
brother and send among the cities gatherers Who will bring you every
learned magician."

And the magicians came to Pharaoh. They said, "Indeed for us is a
reward if we are the predominant." He said, "Yes, and, [moreover], you
will be among those made near [to me]." They said, "O Moses, either you
throw [your staff], or we will be the ones to throw [first]." He said,
"Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people
and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic
.And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured
what they were falsifying. So the truth was established, and abolished
was what they were doing. And Pharaoh and his people were overcome
right there and became debased. And the magicians fell down in
prostration [to Allah ]. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the
worlds, The Lord of Moses and Aaron."(Surah 7 Ayah 103-122)
This made Pharaoh very upset, he was ready to take revenge. Allah
SWT
asked
Moses
AS
to escape with Bani Israel. When Pharaoh found out, he followed
Moses
AS
with his people. When Moses
AS
reached the edge of the sea He
AS

threw His
AS
staff on to the water. The water immediately split into two
parts. Each side stood like a wall with a clear path in between, so the people
could easily cross the sea.
Moses
AS
followers crossed the sea, but when Pharaoh and his people
entered the path, reached the middle of the sea, water from both sides
joined together. Pharaoh and his followers were drowned in the sea, by the
order of Allah
SWT
.

And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed,

[And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, And indeed, they are
enraging us, And indeed, we are a cautious society... So We removed
them from gardens and springs And treasures and honorable station -
Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel. So they pursued
them at sunrise. And when the two companies saw one another, the
companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" [Moses]
said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." Then We
inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and
each portion was like a great towering mountain. And We advanced
thereto the pursuers. And We saved Moses and those with him, all
together. Then We drowned the others. Indeed in that is a sign, but most
of them were not to be believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the
Exalted in Might, the Merciful.(Surah 26 Ayah 52-68)

As Pharaoh realized he was facing death, he admitted his mistakes and
wanted to believe in Allah
SWT
but it was too late. Allah
SWT
decided to save his
body as a sign for humanity.

52

( 64 : )
And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his
soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning
overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in
whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims. Now? And
you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters? So today
We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a
sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless

( : 45 )

( : 46 )
And We had inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants and
strike for them a dry path through the sea; you will not fear being
overtaken [by Pharaoh] nor be afraid [of drowning]." So Pharaoh
pursued them with his soldiers, and there covered them from the sea
that which covered them, And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not
guide [them].
(Surah 20 Ayah 77-79)

This is how Bani Israel were freed and released with the help of Allah
SWT

from the tyranny and slavery of Pharaoh. In return Bani Israel should have
been grateful and obedient to Allah
SWT
by following this great Prophet
54

Moses
AS
. Unfortunately this nation was very disobedient; they had many
ups and downs due to their disobedience, and faced several torments from
Allah
SWT
in their future life.
----------------------------------------

(5) JESUS
AS
(EESA
AS
)
Jesus is also one of the famous prophets of Islam who received the
revelations for the Book called The BIBLE (INGEEL). This Prophet is unique in
the sense that he is the only person in humanity who was born without a
father. He
AS
is the only person raised up, alive into the heavens, which is the
result of the Wonderful Divine Power of Allah
SWT
. His
AS
surprising birth is
briefly explained by Allah
SWT
in the Holy Quran.

( : 24 )
She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched
me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah; He creates what He wills. When He
decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is. (Surah 3 Ayah 47)

55

( : 62 .)

( : 62 .)
That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in
dispute. It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When
He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. (Surah 19 Ayah34-
35)

( : 69 .)
And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her
[garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a
sign for the worlds.(Surah 21 Ayah 91)

When Mary
AS
(Maryam
AS
) the mother of Jesus
AS
was informed by Allah
SWT

through an angel that Allah
SWT
was going to grant her a pious child she

was
surprised. She asked, "How can I have a boy while no man has ever touched
me? The angel replied, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for ME,
and WE will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from US. And it is a
matter [already] decreed."
When She
AS
conceived Him
AS
, She
AS
withdrew, retreated, to a distant place,
far from her family.

56

( : 44 .)

( : 46 .)

( : 42 .)

( : 42 .)

( : 43 .)
So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place. And
the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said,
"Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten." But he
called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided
beneath you a stream. And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree;
it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates. So eat and drink and be
contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I
have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to
[any] man.' "(Surah 19 Ayah 22-26)

( : 44 .)

( : 45 .)

( : 46 .)

( : 60 )
57

( : 69 .)

( : 64 .)

( : 66 .)

( : 62 .)

( : 62 .)
Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary,
you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. O sister of Aaron, your
father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste." So she
pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle
a child?" [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given
me the Scripture and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed
wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I
remain alive And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made
me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day
I will die and the day I am raised alive." That is Jesus, the son of Mary -
58

the word of truth about which they are in dispute. It is not [befitting] for
Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only
says to it, "Be," and it is. (Surah 19 Ayah 27-35)

Jesus
AS
was sent as a prophet towards Bani Israel.

... ( : 3 )
And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel,
indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you (Surah 61 Ayah 6)

Allah
SWT
granted Jesus
AS
a number of strange and strong miracles. He
AS
would make a bird with clay, blow in it, and it would turn into a live bird,
with the order of Allah
SWT
. He
AS
could cure the born blind, the leaper, and
give life to the dead, with the help of Allah
SWT
. He
AS
also let people know
what they ate and what they left at home, again with the help of Allah
SWT
.

(
: 26 .)
59

And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say],
'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for
you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it
and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and
the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah. And I inform
you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is
a sign for you, if you are believers.
(Surah 3 Ayah 49)

( : 990 )

[The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My
favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the
Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and
[remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the
Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a
60

bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird
with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My
permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission;
and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you
came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them
said, "This is not but obvious magic." (Surah 5 Ayah 110)

Regarding His
AS
disappearance from this world, the Holy Quran clearly
states that neither was He
AS
crucified nor was He
AS
killed, but Allah
SWT
raised
Him
AS
up alive.

( : 924 .)

( : 925 )
And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the
son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did
they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And
indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no
knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill
him, for certain. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah
Exalted in Might and Wise. (Surah 4 Ayah 157-158)

As a matter of fact, Allah
SWT
had already informed HIS
SWT
plan to Jesus
AS
,
(that He will be lifted up alive to the sky).
61

( : 22 .)
[Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you
to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who
follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who
disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I
will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.
(Surah 3 Ayah 55)

Allah
SWT
also gave the indication that before the Day of Resurrection Jesus
AS
will be back on this earth and people will believe in Him
AS
.

( :
926 .)
And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely
believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will
be against them a witness (Surah 4 Ayah 159)

62

This is the unique brief history of Jesus
AS
which shows that Allah
SWT
has the
Power to grant anyone, anything HE
SWT
likes. Jesus
AS
fulfilled His
AS
duty and
called the people towards Islam. Even after showing such miracles of Divine
Power granted to Him
AS
by Allah
SWT
, He
AS
had very little success in His
AS

mission.
---------------------------------

(6) MOHAMMUD
(SAW)

After Jesus
AS
, came Mohammud
SAW
, the final Prophet

of Islam. InshaAllah
we will study the life of this prophet in some detail. This will InshaAllah
make it clear that Allah
SWT
has showered HIS
SWT
unlimited blessings more
than HE
SWT
has showered on anyone else, and granted Him
SAW
the most
Powerful Miracle ---The HOLY QURAN.
It was made very clear in the previous pages that after the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
there will be neither another Prophet, nor will there be any
new revelations from Allah
SWT
, sent for humanity, till the Day of Judgment.

( : 20 .)
63

Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the
Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah , of all
things, Knowing.
(Surah 33 Ayah 40)

( : 6 .)
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its
guardian. (Surah 15 Ayah 9)

The above Ayah shows that the Quran is a Divine Revelation that Allah
SWT

Himself
SWT
has guarded from any change. The people who will come after
the death of the Prophet Mohammud
saw
will have no other choice, but to
follow Him
SAW
as a prophet (in His
SAW
absence) along with the Book sent to
Him
SAW
(The Holy Quran), for their salvation. This is a unique law which
never applied to any previous prophet

or Book.

To understand the status of any prophet one must study two main points:
(1) His status in the prophet hood
(2) The power and strength of the miracle given to that prophet.

(1) Prophet Hood
64

Different prophets came in different times. As one prophet left this world,
the effect of His prophet hood was no longer valid. Another prophet used to
take His place and people were supposed to follow the new prophet. This
was not with the case of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
. When the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
died; His
SAW
prophet hood was still active and alive and
remained as strong as before. The people who came after His
SAW
death had
no other choice but to follow Prophet Mohammed
SAW
for their salvation on
the Day of Judgment.
The effect of the preservation of the prophet hood, of the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
, after His
SAW
death, was unique and unlimited because there
was no other prophet to come.

For the help of the future generations to be able to follow this Prophet
SAW
,
Allah
SWT
has arranged for the preservation of His
SAW
prophet hood in a very
reliable and authentic manner. Allah
SWT
has arranged to preserve His
SAW

whole way of life in writing which is called Hadith which not only shows
how He
SAW
followed the Holy Quran but also what He
SAW
said and did, in
His
SAW
public and private life. All this is well preserved in the most reliable
and authentic books called Bukhari and Muslim.

Apart from this, a great opportunity to follow this Prophet
SAW
, (who was a
practical example of how to follow the teachings of The Holy Quran) we also
have the preservation of the practical life of the closest companions of the
Prophet Mohammud
SAW
. They are the wonderful, pious companions of the
Prophet
SAW
, who spent their entire life in close companionship day and
65

night. The Prophet Mohammud
SAW
was extremely pleased with them and
declared that the best era was His
SAW
era and the era of His
SAW
companions.

( : 905 .)
Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow
me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others
with Him."
(Surah 12 Ayah 108)

These close companions are called sahaba. They spent their lives with the
Prophet
SAW
and learned the true practical Islamic way of life from His
SAW

companionship. These followers of the Prophet
SAW
used to ask questions
and apply what they learned, to their lives.

They saw that the Prophet Muhammad
SAW
not only preached Islam but
He
SAW
himself practiced it. During this sacred companionship they lived so
close to the Prophet
SAW
that they became a true copy of the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
.

The life of the sahaba (companions) is also well preserved in writings in the
form of books. One can examine the following wonderful Ayaat of the Holy
66

Quran which are very similar to the good characters of the sahaba
(Companions).

( :
36 .)

( : 32 .)

( : 32 .)

( : 33 .)

( : 34 .)

( : 35 .)
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth
easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words
of] peace, And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord
prostrating and standing [in prayer] And those who say, "Our Lord, avert
from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence." And [they are] those
who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever,
between that, [justly] moderate And those who do not invoke with Allah
another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed],
except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And
whoever should do that will meet a penalty. (Surah 25 Ayah 63-68)

67

( : 44 .)

( : 46 .)

( :
42 .)

( : 42 .)

( : 43 )
And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass
near ill speech, they pass by with dignity. And those who, when
reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and
blind. And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and
offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the
righteous." Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently
endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of]
peace. Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.
(Surah 25 Ayah 72-76)

( : 62 .)
68

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and
believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful
men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble
men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the
fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts
and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and
the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a
great reward. (Surah 33 Ayah 35)

Thus it makes it very easy for anyone to follow the Islamic way of life, even
in the absence of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
. There are now the three
established facts for a person, who wants to follow Islam at any time and
any place in the world, till the Day of Judgment.
(1) The Holy Quran which is still in its original form and language will
remain the same for the rest of the humanity.
(2) A complete practical life of the Prophet Mohammud
saw
who is the
true follower of the Holy Quran has been authentically preserved in
detail.
The importance of following the life of the Prophet Mohammud
saw
in Islam
is clearly emphasized by Allah
SWT
in the Holy Quran in the following Ayaat :

69

( : 69 )

( : 64 )
Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah
will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and
Merciful." Say, "Obey Allah and the Messenger." But if they turn away -
then indeed, Allah does not like the disbelievers.
(Surah 3 Ayah 31-32)

( : 50 .)

He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah ; but those who turn
away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian. (Surah 4 Ayah 80)

70

( : 94 )
And I have been commanded to be the first [among you] of the Muslims."
(Surah 39 Ayah 12)

.1ll>l__.<:`...>_.ll`>,<,l>:<,:
( : 49 )
There has certainly been for you in the Messengers of Allah an excellent
pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who]
remembers Allah often. (Surah 33 Ayah 21)

(3) The practical life of the sacred companions of the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
is also well preserved.

Having the above three unique guidances such as the preservation of the
Holy Quran, the complete authentic life of the Prophet Mohammed
SAW
, and
also the life of His
SAW
companions, makes it very easy for one to follow Islam
at anytime and anywhere in the world till the last Day of Judgment.

The above brief explanation gives us the idea of how Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
s prophet hood was preserved and made easy to follow,
even after His death.
71

(2) MIRACLES.
After prophet hood, the second category which should be considered is the
power of miracles. Miracles are an additional support given to prophets
which are beyond the capability of any creation. They are granted by
ALLAH
SWT
to the prophets to prove their prophet hood.
The effects of all the previous prophets miracles were as long as those
prophets

remained alive on earth, but the effect of the miracle of the
Prophet Mohammud
SAW
(The Holy Quran) remains the same even after
His
SAW
death. As the prophet hood is everlasting, so the miracle of The Holy
Quran is also everlasting.

It is the only Divine Book or miracle which is preserved in its original form
and power with the personal responsibility of Allah
SWT
Alone.
This is the unique example in the prophet hood of Islam.

( : 6 ) .
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its
guardian. (Surah 15 Ayah 9)

After the death of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
humanity has no other
choice but to believe, read and follow this Great Miracle (The Holy Quran)
72

along with the practical example of the Prophet
SAW
for their salvation, as we
are all doing today. ALHAMDULILLAH.
It is clear; no other miracle besides The Holy Quran will be the criteria for
the salvation of humanity, starting from the prophet hood of the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
until the Day of Judgment.
Apart from this The Holy Quran challenges the non-Muslims to bring a small
surah of the same standard as found in The Holy Quran. This challenge
was given at the time of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
. The same challenge
still stands today, (word by word) and will InshaAllah remain till the Day of
Judgment.
Not a single person ever stood to meet this challenge nor will they ever be
able to do so in the future, because of the linguistic miracle of the Holy
Quran.

( : 46 .)

( : 42 .)
And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant
[Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your
witnesses other than Allah , if you should be truthful. But if you do not -
73

and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and
stones, prepared for the disbelievers. (Surah 2 Ayah 23-24)

Thus the Holy Quran is a unique miracle. In other words it is the miracle of
miracles.

It is the only miracle that remains fully effective in its original form, even
after the death of the Prophet
SAW
.
This clearly shows that His
SAW
miracle is unique and it is in humanitys best
interest to follow it and earn salvation.
So now, if we study and compare the prophet hoods and the miracles
among all the prophets, we notice that in both cases one must follow
Prophet Muhammad
SAW
and His
SAW
miracle even after His
SAW
death. .

Apart from all the above blessings of ALLAH on Prophet Mohammed
SAW

there are some other blessings, which are also worth considering.

(1) Prophet Mohammud
SAW
accomplished one of the most important
missions of all the prophets

.This mission was the establishment of an
Islamic state (Iqamath-e-Deen) during a single prophet hood period which
no other prophet ever achieved.
In other words the laws of the Holy Quran (or the shariah) were enforced
practically in the whole country. The laws of the land were the laws of the
74

QURAN. They were fully enforced in the land, in every aspect of human life
such as economic, social, cultural, political, educational, legal etc, etc
He
SAW
fought several battles with His
SAW
companions whom He
SAW

Himself
SAW
trained. He
SAW
was personally injured during one of thebattles,
but did not give up. Amazingly enough, He
SAW
achieved this important goal
within (approximately) twenty three years. This was one of the main
purposes of sending the prophets but Alhamdulillah He
SAW
was the only
prophet who achieved this goal.

( :
66 .)
It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of
truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others
with Allah dislike it. (Surah 9 Ayah 33)

( : 96 .)
He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that
which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined
upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not
75

be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is
that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills
and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]. (Surah 42 Ayah 13)

(

:9)
It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth
to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with
Allah dislike it. (61:9)

(2) Allah
SWT
says in the Holy Quran that HE
SWT
has completed the Deen for
Mohammud
saw
:

...

... ( : 6 )
This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor
upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion (Surah 5 Ayah 3)

This does not mean that the Deen (Islam) granted to the previous
prophets was not complete, this was not so. Every Deen was complete
at the time of every Prophet, according to their standard and way of
living. In the case of the Deen (Islam) of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, it
76

is such a comprehensive, well balanced and advanced Deen, it does
not need any change to adjust to the standard or way of life, of the
future generations, till the Day of Judgment.

This means that the Deen of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
is suitable and is
practicable by anyone, at any time, and anywhere in the world till the
Day of Judgment.

(3) Allah
SWT
granted the best title Khair-ul-Ummah (The Best Nation) to
the nation of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
which means that His
SAW
nation has the superiority over all other nations.

The reason for granting this title (to this nation) was because Allah
SWT

has imposed a great responsibility of amar bill maroof wa nahi anil
munkar which means that every member of this nation is responsible
to fulfill the obligation of a prophet i.e. to encourage the people to do
good deeds and to abstain from doing bad deeds.

In other words this responsibility is a kind of purification for humanity and
an invitation towards the religion of Islam. To fulfill this responsibility a
person must practice Islam in his or her personal practical life first.

77

( : 66 .)
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does
righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims (Surah 41 Ayah 33)

By fulfilling this command this nation will become the best.

( : 990 )
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You
enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah
(Surah 3 Ayah 110)

(4) On the Day of Judgment Prophet Mohammud
SAW
will be called as a
witness over all the witnesses of other nations. From each nation one
witness (prophet) will be called and He will witness that He has conveyed
the message of Allah
SWT
to His people. Finally Prophet Mohammud
SAW
will
bear witness over all those witnesses (prophets). This unique and the
highest stage will be granted to the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
only, and to no
other prophet.

( : 29 .)
78

So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we
bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness? (Surah 4
Ayah 41)

(5) Allah
SWT
has also granted Him the wonderful title of Rahamath-ul-
lilalameen which means that his arrival is a mercy for the universe.

!. ..l. | .- _,.l.-ll _
And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the
worlds.

In other words, He
SAW
was sent as a blessing, not only for His
SAW
nation, but
also for the whole humanity as a whole, as well as for the entire universe.
This kind of mercy and favor is not found with any other prophet.
(6) The glad tidings of the coming of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
to this
world were given in advance to the previous nations by Allah
SWT
in their
Books. They were told that Prophet Mohammud will come in the future and
will guide the people of the Prophet Moses
AS
.

He will remove their misunderstandings which they imposed on themselves
i.e. in the matter of Halal and Haram and the different customs which they
introduced by themselves (which had nothing to do with the teachings of
Torah).
79

( : 924 .)
Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find
written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon
them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for
them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of
their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have
believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light
which was sent down with him - it is those who will be the successful.
(Surah 7 Ayah 157)

Jesus
AS
(Eesa
AS
) also gave the good news that a prophet was going to come
after Him
AS
whose name would be Ahmed. (Ahmed
SAW
is another name of
the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
.)

( : 3 )
80

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel,
indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before
me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after
me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear
evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." (Surah 61 Ayah 6)

This kind of glad tidings in advance is not found with any other prophet.

(7) Allah
SWT
declared that the life of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, a true
follower of the Holy Quran, is the best example for the whole humanity. It
means that He
SAW
is a role model, not only for the people living during
His
SAW
life, but also for the generations which will come in the future till the
Day of Judgment. In other words, after His
SAW
death whoever steps on this
earth will need to follow this wonderful example for their salvation on the
Day of Judgment.
.1l l >l _ _. < :`. ..> _.l l `>, < ,l > : < ,:
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent
pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who]
remembers Allah often.
(33:21)

81

( : 50 .)
He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah ; but those who turn
away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian. (Surah 4 Ayah 80)

This unique condition to follow this model, after His
SAW
death for salvation,
will never be found with any other prophet in the history of Islam.

(8) The Prophet Mohammud
SAW
is a prophet whom Allah
SWT
loved so much,
HE
SWT
says HE
SWT
Himself
SWT
sends Divine Blessings upon Him
SAW
. His
SWT

pious creations, the angels, also ask Allah
SWT
to send HIS
SWT
Blessings and
Mercy upon the Prophet
SAW
. This is not the end, Allah
SWT
also asks His
SWT

followers (us) to request to ALLAH
SWT
to send HIS
SWT
Blessings upon the
Prophet Mohammud
SAW
. As a result, millions and millions of Muslims,
throughout the world, day and night, ask Allah
SWT
to shower HIS
SWT
Blessings
upon Him
SAW
. This will InshaAllah continue for ever and ever till the last Day
of Judgment.

No other prophet ever had this kind of relationship and remarkable blessing
with their nation after the death of their prophets. SubhanALLAH.

82

( : 23 .)
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask
Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing
upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace (Surah 33 Ayah 56)

(9) Prophet Mohammud
SAW
is the only prophet and human being to whom
Allah
SWT
declared in the Holy Quran (during His lifetime) that HE
SWT
has
forgiven His future and past sins completely. This open declaration in the
Holy Quran is not only the greatest honor but also it shows the strongest
trust which Allah
SWT
had on this Unique Prophet
SAW
.

( :
4 .)
That Allah may forgive for you what proceeded of your sin and what will
follow and complete His favor upon you and guide you to a straight path
(Surah 48 Ayah 2)

(10) On the Day of Judgment Allah
SWT
will assign a special place for the
Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, named Mukham-e-mahmood, which means the
place of Praise. The meaning clearly shows that the person standing on
83

that place will deserve the highest honor for praise, and this honor is
reserved for the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
only and for no one else.

( : 46 .)
And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you;
it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.
(Surah 17 Ayah 79)

(11) A unique and unbelievable journey which the Prophet Mohammud
SAW

had in His
SAW
life is called the Miraj. It took place during the night with the
help of the great angel, Gabriel. During that night Prophet Mohammud
SAW

travelled from Mecca to Baith-ul-mukhdus (Musjidul Aqsa, Jerusalem). In
that Mosque He
SAW
led the prayer in which all the prophets prayed behind
Him
SAW
. He
SAW
then went up to the sky to meet Allah
SWT
. There He
SAW
was
granted (for His
SAW
nation) the five daily obligatory prayers and the last two
Ayaat of Surathul- Baqarah (Surah #2).

During His
SAW
journey He
SAW
met several prophets who welcomed Him
SAW
with kind greetings. He

was also shown heaven and hell and returned to
Mecca on the same night. SubhanALLAH.

84

( : 9 )
Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to
al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of
Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. (Surah 17 Ayah 1)

No other prophet ever had such a remarkable and wonderful journey in
their life in this world.

(12) During the month of Ramadan Allah
SWT
has granted the Prophet
Muhammad
SAW
s nation a very special night called The Night of Power.
A separate Surah was revealed in the Holy Quran in the name of that night
called The Power.
Any good action or deed committed in that night will be awarded as if that
one action or deed was done for more than one thousand months. Allah
SWT

Himself
SWT
knows how much more than one thousand months, means.
This is a great gift to the nation of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
which no
other prophet ever had for their nation

85

:1-5)
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what
can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is
better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend
therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the
emergence of dawn
(Surah 97 Ayah 1-5 )

(13) On the Day of Judgment Allah
SWT
will grant Mohammud
SAW
a huge
reservoir which will have the water from the stream of heaven called
Kauthar. Prophet Mohammud
SAW
will be at that reservoir. His
SAW
nation
will come over there to meet Him
SAW
,

as well as to drink the blessed water
which will be distributed by the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
Himself
SAW
. There
will be some unfortunate people among His
SAW
nation who will be denied
that blessed water. They will come to drink the water but will be turned
86

back. Prophet Mohammud
SAW
will say They are among my nation but
He
SAW
will be told, You dont know that these people had made changes in
Your Deen after You left the world. They introduced new methods and
innovations in Your Deen. Then Mohammud
SAW
will agree and they will
have to turn back. In short, the blessed water of heaven will be for the
nation of Prophet Mohammud
SAW
s true followers only.
Allah
SWT
revealed a separate Surah named Kauthar regarding the water
and the reservoir.

( : 9 .)

( : 4 .)

( 6 .)

Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar. So pray to
your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]. Indeed, your enemy is the one cut
off.
(Surah 108 Ayah 3)

87

(14) Allah
SWT
says in the Holy Quran that He has raised the remembrance
of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
. The remembrance is raised in the sense that
when the name of Allah
SWT
is mentioned, right after that, the name of
Prophet Mohammud
SWT
will also be mentioned. For example in the five
obligatory prayers when the call for prayer, (the athan) is given, first the
name of Allah
SWT
is called then immediately after that, the name of the
Prophet Mohammud
SAW
is called.
This call for the prayer is given five times a day, every day throughout the
year, everywhere in the world, day and night till the Day of Judgment
InshAllah.
Apart from that, the statement of basic belief The Kalima, which must be
believed and recited by anyone who wants to be a Muslim, is repeated
many times a day throughout the world, also has the name of the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
soon after the name of Allah
SWT
.

These are just a few examples.

(15) Mohammud
SAW
is the only prophet sent for humanity to be followed
forever. Previously, whenever a prophet died or left the world, His followers
were supposed to follow the prophet who was sent after Him. But, the case
of the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
was different. After the death of the Prophet
Mohammud
SAW
, no other prophet was going to come. So every person who
comes into this world must believe and follow the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
,
in His
SAW
absence, for their salvation. His
SAW
prophethood even after His
SAW
88

death, still remains intact and active as before, till the Day of Judgment.
Mohammud
SAW
, the last and unique prophet, whose prophet hood is still
alive, even after His
SAW
death, is to be followed by the whole of humanity.

!. ,..l. | ! _!.ll ,:, ,.. _>.l . _!.l _.l- , __
(28 )

And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a

bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not
know.
(Surah 34 Ayah 28)

In short, all the above discussions about the PROPHET HOOD, the MIRACLE,
and the different kinds of special blessings and favors granted to the
Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, and to his nation, bring us to the conclusion that
the Prophet Mohammud
SAW
, no doubt is and was, the unique prophet

of
ALL.

May Allah
SWT
s Peace and Blessings be upon Him for Ever and Ever.
89

AMEEN.
