Port Development and Management Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in any discipline. Those in their final year of the qualifying programme can also apply. However these candidates have to provide the original copy of the Certificate of Merit to the concerned authority as per the stipulated date. Candidates of both 10+2 as well as Under Graduate Diploma are eligible to apply for the course. The diploma course is open to the final year students of diploma in engineering or those who have recently completed their course with a minimum age requirement of 21 years. The aspirants must sit for the railway recruitment board (RRB) examination based on the marks of which students are admitted. Course outlook The course duration of diploma in rail transport & management is one year, Various railway recruitment board have granted it as a most desirable additional criteria for recruitment in various categories of posts in railway. The course contains main subjects which are transport economics, management concepts, material management, operating management, commercial management. Job prospects Indian railway employs a major section of population if the figures are to be analyzed during 1950-51, it employed 9.14 lakhs which increased to 16.54 lakhs in 1991-92 and the figures are still increasing exponentially.
