INVITATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON

»TRENDS AND CHALLENGES IN FOOD TECHNOLOGY, NUTRITION, CATERING AND TOURISM«

26 and 27 October 2010

in BIC Ljubljana, Vocational college, Ižanska cesta 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

The areas of food, nutrition, catering and tourism are closely related and subject to ongoing changes. Continuous improvement and development can therefore be only achieved through getting updates on new trends and best practices. The aim of the conference is thus to present the latest trends from these fields, as well as to address new challenges for future development.

The target audience includes education institutions and teachers from the field of food technology, nutrition, catering, hospitality and tourism as well as companies and anyone interested in the conference topic areas.

We look forward to welcoming you to the conference. Join us with a paper or poster. The title, abstract, keywords and final papers must be written in English.

All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the Conference Abstract Book. Full-length papers will be published in the conference proceedings in electronic format.

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Authors are requested to submit their edited abstract, key words and final papers (all have to been written in English) in accordance with the instructions available from our website (www.bic-lj.si/vss), section International Conference.

The title, abstract and keywords are due no later than 1 July 2010 and must be submitted using the submission form supplied on: www.bic-lj.si/vss/povzetek

Submitting an abstract represents a commitment to participate in the conference.

The length of the paper is limited to 15 000 characters or 8 pages. Each author is entitled to present one paper. Presenters are requested to indicate their preference for poster presentation on the online submission form. Full-length papers should be submitted at the Conference website no later than 15 September 2010: www.bic-lj.si/vss/referat

REGISTRATION FEE

For presenters - 180 EUR

Payment of the registration fee is mandatory for the participation to the conference and includes:

publication of two papers, presentation of one paper or poster, conference proceedings in electronic format, coffee breaks and lunch. Payment deadline by 15 July 2010.

 

For other attendees - 195 EUR

For students - 20 EUR (the registration fee does not include lunches).

Payment of the registration fee applies to all attendees and includes: attendance to the conference, conference proceedings in electronic format, coffee breaks and lunch. Please, note that lunch is not included into student registration fee.

Registration and payment deadline by 15 October 2010. All prices include VAT.
