ASSESSMENT Academic Projects Center assessment Summer 2012 Eastern Michigan University Analyzed three years of usage statistics and collected evidence of student learning outcomes through quantitative survey in order to highlight successes and areas for improvement within EMU Library learning support unit. Deliverables: Annual report, proposal for redesigned usage statistics web form. COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT Shapiro Library collection assessment 2013 (ongoing) University of Michigan Collect survey data to inform revision of collection development policy. Facilitate focus group of new and experienced selectors to collect and document best practices in undergraduate collection purchasing decisions. CONTENT MANAGEMENT Drupal site design Fall 2012 U-M Interviewed clients at School of Public Healths Risk Science Center, developed user personas, created information and content architecture scheme, and selected and configured Drupal modules during four-person project to take RSC from a static site to a CMS. My role: Client liaison, project manager. Deliverables: Final working site and site documentation. Wiki information architecture redesign Summer 2012 U-M Developed page naming conventions and category structure to improve search and browse functionality of U-M Library user services staff wiki. Re-envisioned workflows to improve editing efficiency and accuracy of content. Wrote and presented training documentation to staff. Digital asset management analysis Fall 2011 U-M Collected and analyzed workflow and technical data along with four classmates investigating digital recordkeeping transition at three university museums. Wrote and presented findings and final recommendations to clients. PRIMARY RESEARCH Investigating Student Learning Grant 2012-2013 (ongoing) U-M Awarded $4,000 grant in collaboration with English subject specialist to spend a year studying tacit information literacy expectations and information use behaviors among first-year English Department Writing Program students and instructors. Grant and project support from U-M Center for Research on Learning and Teaching. USABILITY GradeCraft UX research 2013 (ongoing) U-M Collect data to inform client recommendations during five-person project to analyze usability of gamified learning management system being piloted in School of Education courses.
